Outstanding Experience from Start to Finish!…read more We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Kobe Teppanyaki! We were celebrating my son's 13th birthday with a group of 12 people, including two young kids, and everything exceeded our expectations. I accidentally made the reservation for the wrong number of people, so we did have to wait a little longer before being seated. That was completely my mistake, and honestly, it wasn't an issue at all since we weren't in a hurry. The wait actually flew by because the kids loved watching the beautiful koi pond. It was spotless, peaceful, and such a nice touch that kept everyone entertained. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by Amanda, who immediately made us feel welcome. She had the biggest smile, was incredibly friendly, and treated us like valued guests from the moment we arrived. You could genuinely tell she enjoys what she does, and her positive attitude set the tone for the entire evening. Then our teppanyaki chef, Cornelius, came to our table, and within minutes we knew we were in for a great experience. He was polite, personable, and genuinely hilarious. He kept everyone engaged--from the adults to the kids--with his fun personality and entertaining cooking, but what impressed us even more was just how talented he is as a chef. The food was cooked perfectly. We had promised our son he could finally try Kobe beef for his birthday, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. After dinner he said, "That was the best steak I've ever had in my life... by far!" That pretty much says it all. I ordered the steak and shrimp, and the steak was incredible--it practically melted in my mouth. The shrimp was excellent as well. Every single part of the meal was delicious. The fresh salad, flavorful mushroom soup, perfectly cooked noodles, fried rice, vegetables, shrimp, and, of course, the amazing steak were all outstanding. There wasn't a single thing we didn't enjoy. From the warm hospitality to the entertaining chef and phenomenal food, this was one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time. Huge thank you to Amanda and Cornelius for helping make my son's birthday so memorable. We will absolutely be back and would highly recommend Kobe Teppanyaki to anyone looking for a fun, delicious, and memorable dining experience!

We got seated in a reasonable time with a large group of regulars. My wife ordered the filet snd shrimp and I went with the filet and lobster. Other at the table ordered various things. We were served salad as e petted then the chef showed up and started cooking. No soup. Good for us the regulars spoke up and they finally brought out the soup. Ordered my filet med-rare but got med. Lobster was over cooked. Same for my wife. Over cooked steak and rubber hard shrimp. Told the wife I wanted to give them another chance. Boy was I wrong. So suggest you avoid this place and try the others I hate being rushed and pushed out the door after a terrible meal

Worth noting- the balance of their poke bowl is really excellent. There were no bland or sauce-less parts of the bowl- seriously every bite was fantastic and I didn't need to do any mixing myself. Would recommend selecting the "spicy" option for a bit of zip- not intense- and adding avocado. So good!

They had us in one of their private rooms which was really nice for our family. It was helpful to not feel too stressed out if our kids were bothering anyone else, and we could relax and enjoy our food a little more. The service was fantastic. We got our drinks quickly and they gave us great recommendations of what rolls to order. We ended up getting three rolls, a bento box, and two orders of yakisoba noodles for the little ones. The kids noodles came after our food which was a little hard for them (they have zero patience) but the amount of food we ordered was enough to share with them before they got their order. The portions were massive. We absolutely loved our sushi rolls. My husband and I talked about the cosmopolitan roll being one of the best rolls we have had! Everything was fresh and had incredible flavor. The yakisoba was also delicious. They came with a lot more noodles than I was expecting! Each bowl could definitely feed two people. We had such a great night. We will definitely be back. It was an easy place to dine with kids, but I'm hoping the next time we go can be for date night!

Rave Review for So Delicious Japanese Wasabi in Ogden, Utah…read more (5/5 stars) Oh man, where do I even start? My wife and I stumbled upon So Delicious Japanese Wasabi on a whim during a date night in Ogden, and let me tell you--it's officially our new go-to spot for sushi that doesn't just satisfy, it transcends the ordinary. Tucked away in the heart of Ogden, this place has that perfect unpretentious vibe: cozy lighting, friendly staff who treat you like family, and a menu that's a treasure trove of creative rolls that scream "fresh from the sea" with every bite. We dove headfirst into their specialty rolls, and each one was a flavor explosion. The Rainbow Roll was a vibrant masterpiece--layers of fresh salmon, tuna, yellowtail, and avocado draped over sticky rice, topped with a rainbow of fish slices that melted in your mouth. It was like a sunset on your plate, bright, balanced, and bursting with umami. Then came the Dream Come True Roll, and yeah, it lived up to its name. Tempura shrimp, spicy tuna, and cream cheese wrapped in soy paper, finished with a drizzle of eel sauce and masago? Pure bliss. The textures played off each other so perfectly--crunchy, creamy, spicy, sweet. We were already hooked. But the Royal Roll? That one elevated the whole meal. King crab, asparagus, and cucumber inside, crowned with seared scallops and a caviar flourish. It felt indulgent, like royalty-approved sushi, with every piece screaming sophistication without a hint of stuffiness. And hold onto your chopsticks--the Thunder Roll stole the show. When our server brought it out, they lit it on fire right at the table! Flames dancing over the spicy yellowtail and jalapeño-filled roll, infusing it with that smoky edge before it even hit our plates. The heat from the torch caramelized the tops just right, adding this incredible char that paired insanely well with the kick inside. We were cheering like kids at a fireworks show--total spectacle and 100% delicious. What really set everything apart, though, was the rice. Usually, sushi rice is a supporting player, but here? Unusually large grains that somehow stayed separate yet clung together in perfect harmony. Seasoned to absolute perfection-- that subtle vinegar tang and just the right amount of sweetness-- it was the canvas that made every roll shine. I've had sushi all over Utah, and this rice game is next-level; it elevates the whole experience. Service was spot-on: quick, attentive, and with that genuine warmth that makes you want to linger. Prices are fair (especially with their roll deals), portions are generous, and we left stuffed, smiling, and already plotting our next visit. If you're in Ogden craving sushi that wows, skip the chains and head straight to So Delicious Japanese Wasabi. My wife and I found our new favorite spot--trust me, you will too. Arigato and see you soon! #SushiHeaven #OgdenEats #ThunderRollMagic
