House salad to go with their house dressing

Have to be honest. I've/I'd been advised again and again to not leave this review. But you know what, in fairness to all the competitors (like Ichiban Sushi in Ogden) that I've found up North; I'm leaving this review. Fact. Every single time I've been here in well over a year the quality has gone down. WAY down South. Main concern is the Sushi is not fresh! Ladies and gentlemen it is not! It doesn't hold together and has an extremely pungent fishy taste. Every single time. No thank you! They will also nickel and dime you if you request a specific sauce. Ok. Most places are 50¢ if not inclusive. $1.50+? Yeah, no. The Bento boxes come with a lot of food but the quality is subpar. Not much of your main entree but a whole lot of everything else! When I order a Bento I'm one hundred percent focused on the entree itself. And aside from not fresh rolls; the rice here (they waaay overdo it with everything). My God! I quit eating rolls because of this place. And then I found Ichiban Sushi in Ogden (and well me, and sushi rolls are bff's once again:+)

I'm a regular here. I love most of the sushi and the all you can eat is usually my go-to but the grill is also delicious and affordable so if you have friends who aren't sushi lovers, there's food for them too. The staff are all smiles and friendly and that builds onto the generally pleasant atmosphere that keeps me coming back.

So imo sushi places run the gamut from bad to great. This is neither of those. But it's better than average and you can't beat the price for the ayce. My wife took my daughter's prom dress shopping and so the boy and I decided to go out to eat. The ayce is $12 for kids twelve and under and $19 for everyone over thirteen. And includes appetizers. My son loves the crab rangoons. We ordered edamame, tempura vegetables and rangoons as appetizers and it was all very good. We ordered a selection of roles that were all very good as well. Not the best I've had but not bad. And my son loved it. The MOAB, was my favorite. The service is good not overly friendly or attentive but not bad either. I did have to flag down my server to refill my water and again to add to our order. Not a big deal. If you're in Layton and looking for sushi, don't hesitate to try Tony's, but only if you're hungry.

We decided to order sushi by a random number generator while dining at Tony's. We ordered 10 rolls. We ended up with a roll we would never pick on our own as it had BBQ sauce in it. This roll that was much better than you might expect. Sushi was passable. Nothing incredible. No flavor that blew us away. Most of the rolls tasted very similar.

Good price for all you can eat sushi but the sushi wasn't the best I've had. These are rolls I normally get at any typical sushi spot and it was just not that great here. I believe it's their eel sauce that throws me off a bit. And the flavors don't really come together as they should. They put so much rice that it's hard to swallow down just one piece making you full fast. Service was great. AYCE sushi comes with miso soup, crab Rangoons, or vegetable tempura upon request.

The almost all the way eaten vegetable tempura. Sorry, I forgot to take the picture when it was brand new...

This was a great find! My son-in-law said he has been coming here with his grandpa since he was young. So I figured it was just a nostalgic place. But to my surprise, it was absolutely delicious! I personally do not like sushi, so I just had teriyaki chicken, rice, vegetables, a salad, soup, and potstickers. But my daughter and son-in-law got so much sushi! They were in heaven. They loved everything that they got. The staff were all very nice and helpful. I will definitely be back next time I am in this area. Which, unfortunately is not very often. But I will be bringing my husband back.

After sleeping with a bucket on one side of my head and a garbage can on the other, this place deserves every last bad review that they will ever receive! Waited nearly two hours for a takeout order. I had absolutely zero issues with that, provided all of my detailed instructions were followed. I explicitly requested if they were going to charge me additional fees after my initial order total then to cancel the ENTIRE order! Not only was I charged additional fees to my credit card after the fact, my instructions weren't even followed! The most expensive item (especially since I was charged almost $5 extra for requesting lettuce) was the Dynamite Poke Bowl with rotten fish, rotten produce, saturated in sauce (that I explicitly requested ON THE SIDE), and most disgusting of all, warm creamy rice that was supposedly in their "homemade cream sauce". Absolutely nowhere in the description of the Dynamite Poke Bowl did it state it was going to have rice or give you an alternative option. Whatever is in that disgusting sauce should be retired and banned from the FDA! The supposed "fish" was all shredded barely there and nevermind I didn't receive the furikake with red onions that I was also charged additional for. The Kimchi was completely sour and opening the lid on the little cup you could smell the foulness. Yes, I did try a bite of everything that I ordered to leave an appropriate review. The Kurama Ebi (prawn) shows up with it's head and shell on which wasn't a big issue because I order seafood boils all the time. However, this poor prawn was all shell, no meat, and was discolored and mushy upon peeling. The Gyutan (beef tongue) was charred aplenty, but still impossible to eat because it was way too chewy and no amount of lemons were going to help it. I really was having a great day and that's why I thought I would be 3 for 3 and try this newer popular sushi restaurant and trust me, the pricey menu items certainly don't achieve the fresh experience that all of us Sushi lovers expect. Will never return and will forever be telling everyone about this horrible waste of time and money experience. And to think I actually left them a tip on top of the overcharges. Ha!

If you opt for takeout, the prices are extremely reasonable especially if you are a Sashimi lover such as myself. As always, my favorites are the seaweed salad and squid salad; but alas, I've tried their sushi rolls and the salmon sushi roll (6 piece) is definitely one of my favorites. In regards to Sashimi, you honestly cannot go wrong with any of them! You can actually taste the smoky flavor in the smoked salmon which I've yet to find anywhere else that tastes this good. The caramel shrimp is a MUST TRY along with their fantastic and crunchy flying fish eggs. Mussels shooter's are never a disappointment! The jalapeno pepper is similar to jalapeno poppers in other Japanese establishments. Fish is always fresh and I've never had a bad meal or experience. Highly recommend Sushi Pro to all sushi enthusiast's!

Unfortunately, we stayed on 08/08/2026. My daughter tried the squid sashimi and spent the next day at urgent care and the following day at Ogden Regional ER thus ruining her vacation from AK and wasting $775 in healthcare payments thus far (before ER tacks on follow-on doctor bills, labs, remainder facility costs, etc.). Both my son and I were extremely ill, but we didn't have the squid sashimi, so that was probably our saving grace. It seems that these dishes are being "re-cycled" off the conveyor belt at different serving periods. Case in point: I grabbed one dish that was pretty much just a typical CA roll, but filled with "spicy" imitation crab instead of plain crab. The rice was dry and crumbly, the seaweed was soggy, and the avocado was black. I tried to pick up a piece off the plate and the piece literally crumbled/disintegrated--not from freshness. It was so old it wouldn't stay together when I tried to dip it in soy-wasabi; it just fell apart. Similarly, the gyzos were absolutely cold - not luke-warm, but congealed fat cold consistency. We also noticed that the cantaloupe was overly ripe in one bowl (i.e., appeared like it was rotting) while the second bowl choice was unripe (i.e., more white with a hint of orange color); we thought why bother to put those two bowls on the conveyor belt? No one would grab either one. What it did alert us to is quality control checks or lack thereof. If the kitchen has no qualms about blatantly putting those out for public consumption, what "day-olds" are they hiding or tucking into unseen items? I wouldn't order directly from the kitchen, who knows what you'll get with that kind of QC. Simply put, conveyor belt sushi in a land locked state is a big pass. Hind sight is 20/20. Enough said.

Hand's down, they have the BEST Unagi Don (Eel Poke/Rice bowl's) out of everyone that I have tried. And their quality always remains the same...it gets even better each and every time I visit. I really appreciate them for that:+) Tried a couple new rolls that both absolutely blew my mind in regards to quality and quantity. The Crazy Roll is absolutely insane in regards to deliciousness (+ spice) and has a soybean base roll which really gives it a whole other fantastic flavor altogether. Spicy Crawfish Avocado Roll is absolutely loaded with crawfish (and as someone who frequents restaurants with seafood boils, it waa a great pleasure to have delicious crawfish without the task of dismantling them). Another thing that I do greatly appreciate about So Delicious, is that when they tell you on their menu that a roll is "spicy", it actually IS unlike so many other competitors. The Soft Shell Crab Appetizer is another must to try which also blew my mind in regards to flavor and portions. The dipping sauce reminded me of a tempura dipping which just added to the ultimate flavor of the appetizer. Presentation as of late has been beautiful but I cannot help but say that the food tastes even better:+).

They had us in one of their private rooms which was really nice for our family. It was helpful to not feel too stressed out if our kids were bothering anyone else, and we could relax and enjoy our food a little more. The service was fantastic. We got our drinks quickly and they gave us great recommendations of what rolls to order. We ended up getting three rolls, a bento box, and two orders of yakisoba noodles for the little ones. The kids noodles came after our food which was a little hard for them (they have zero patience) but the amount of food we ordered was enough to share with them before they got their order. The portions were massive. We absolutely loved our sushi rolls. My husband and I talked about the cosmopolitan roll being one of the best rolls we have had! Everything was fresh and had incredible flavor. The yakisoba was also delicious. They came with a lot more noodles than I was expecting! Each bowl could definitely feed two people. We had such a great night. We will definitely be back. It was an easy place to dine with kids, but I'm hoping the next time we go can be for date night!
