Ichiban Sushi is one of those rare places that makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in. The service is genuinely warm and kind--everyone is attentive without ever being pushy. You can tell they really care about their guests and want everyone to have a great dining experience. The food itself is excellent--fresh fish, beautifully presented rolls, and perfectly balanced flavors. Everything feels thoughtfully prepared and consistent in quality. Whether you're going for classic sushi or something more creative, you can taste the care in every bite. The ambiance is another highlight. The music is soft and relaxing, the lighting cozy but modern, and the overall atmosphere feels calm and inviting. It's a great spot whether you're having dinner with friends, a date, or just unwinding after a long day. In short--great service, great food, and a really pleasant vibe. Definitely one of the best sushi spots in town!

We always order and get our sushi delivered through DoorDash. We love that it comes with wasabi and ginger, along with soy sauce. It's hard to find good sushi out here, especially with coming from Hawaii, nothing compares to fresh sushi back home but we really enjoy the sushi we've tried from here. Our personal favorites are the fatty salmon roll because it's simple and taste fresh, and the lazy boy roll. Definitely our go to place for if we're craving sushi!

Yum! I was nervous coming here just because of the rolls being "50% off" but it was delicious. The two rolls that were my favorite were the Tokyo roll, a little sweet & had the perfect crunch. And the Yellowstone had seared salmon & was delightful. The service was top notch as well!

Mussel shooter comes with two... SOOOO delicious!

If you want a generic Chinese slop dinner, then you've come to the right place! Ordered the garlic beef dinner special (I know the "hint" should have been the "special" in regards to the description). If you look on other food apps it shows dinner specials with the main entree all by itself and not in a bunch of oily slop. It also comes with your choice of soup, ham fried rice, chicken lo mein, and a choice of either 2 cream cheese wontons or 2 egg rolls. I also ordered a spicy shrimp roll and received a crab roll with spicy mayo on top. It also was extremely bland and anything but "spicy" even with the spicy mayo on top. The one positive thing that I will say about the rolls here; is that they don't overdo the rice and all the rolls that I have ever tried stay intact for the whole bite or bites. I took a photo of my receipt and the roll and maybe you can figure out what it's supposed to be though my buddies and I definitely settled on the fact it's crab in appearance and taste. Stupidly went less than an hour before closing but they weren't busy so I would've thought the attention span would be better with the chef's working. Sadly, no. The garlic beef dinner hardly has any beef but a whole lot of what reminds me of the included chicken lo mein. Absolutely disgusting and now I smell like a Chinese restaurant. Hard to say if I will be back. It definitely isn't the worst but not the greatest either when the chef's couldn't even make the roll requested.

The food was excellent, especially for the price point. I had eel nigiri, egg custard nigiri, and the Lazy Boy roll. All for under $20. The employees were super friendly, funny, and easy to work with. Give this place a go!

Very underwhelming. Sushi is grocery story level. I can get the same quality at Harmon's or Smith's Marketplace. Restaurant is where a Chinese buffet used ro be and it feels like it. Hostess was cold not very welcoming. Sever didn't have any answers to any of our questions. Every question asked he had to leave the table and ask someone else. I have no idea how others are rating the place any higher. Go to the grocery store and get the same quality.

The sushi was delicious, great service, and good prices! Rolls range from about $8-$12.

It was very delicious and filling. Will make it a point to come back again. We each got bento boxes which were served with Asian pears. The pears with a cup of oolong tea paired beautifully! Do recommend!!

Worth noting- the balance of their poke bowl is really excellent. There were no bland or sauce-less parts of the bowl- seriously every bite was fantastic and I didn't need to do any mixing myself. Would recommend selecting the "spicy" option for a bit of zip- not intense- and adding avocado. So good!

They had us in one of their private rooms which was really nice for our family. It was helpful to not feel too stressed out if our kids were bothering anyone else, and we could relax and enjoy our food a little more. The service was fantastic. We got our drinks quickly and they gave us great recommendations of what rolls to order. We ended up getting three rolls, a bento box, and two orders of yakisoba noodles for the little ones. The kids noodles came after our food which was a little hard for them (they have zero patience) but the amount of food we ordered was enough to share with them before they got their order. The portions were massive. We absolutely loved our sushi rolls. My husband and I talked about the cosmopolitan roll being one of the best rolls we have had! Everything was fresh and had incredible flavor. The yakisoba was also delicious. They came with a lot more noodles than I was expecting! Each bowl could definitely feed two people. We had such a great night. We will definitely be back. It was an easy place to dine with kids, but I'm hoping the next time we go can be for date night!

Rave Review for So Delicious Japanese Wasabi in Ogden, Utah…read more (5/5 stars) Oh man, where do I even start? My wife and I stumbled upon So Delicious Japanese Wasabi on a whim during a date night in Ogden, and let me tell you--it's officially our new go-to spot for sushi that doesn't just satisfy, it transcends the ordinary. Tucked away in the heart of Ogden, this place has that perfect unpretentious vibe: cozy lighting, friendly staff who treat you like family, and a menu that's a treasure trove of creative rolls that scream "fresh from the sea" with every bite. We dove headfirst into their specialty rolls, and each one was a flavor explosion. The Rainbow Roll was a vibrant masterpiece--layers of fresh salmon, tuna, yellowtail, and avocado draped over sticky rice, topped with a rainbow of fish slices that melted in your mouth. It was like a sunset on your plate, bright, balanced, and bursting with umami. Then came the Dream Come True Roll, and yeah, it lived up to its name. Tempura shrimp, spicy tuna, and cream cheese wrapped in soy paper, finished with a drizzle of eel sauce and masago? Pure bliss. The textures played off each other so perfectly--crunchy, creamy, spicy, sweet. We were already hooked. But the Royal Roll? That one elevated the whole meal. King crab, asparagus, and cucumber inside, crowned with seared scallops and a caviar flourish. It felt indulgent, like royalty-approved sushi, with every piece screaming sophistication without a hint of stuffiness. And hold onto your chopsticks--the Thunder Roll stole the show. When our server brought it out, they lit it on fire right at the table! Flames dancing over the spicy yellowtail and jalapeño-filled roll, infusing it with that smoky edge before it even hit our plates. The heat from the torch caramelized the tops just right, adding this incredible char that paired insanely well with the kick inside. We were cheering like kids at a fireworks show--total spectacle and 100% delicious. What really set everything apart, though, was the rice. Usually, sushi rice is a supporting player, but here? Unusually large grains that somehow stayed separate yet clung together in perfect harmony. Seasoned to absolute perfection-- that subtle vinegar tang and just the right amount of sweetness-- it was the canvas that made every roll shine. I've had sushi all over Utah, and this rice game is next-level; it elevates the whole experience. Service was spot-on: quick, attentive, and with that genuine warmth that makes you want to linger. Prices are fair (especially with their roll deals), portions are generous, and we left stuffed, smiling, and already plotting our next visit. If you're in Ogden craving sushi that wows, skip the chains and head straight to So Delicious Japanese Wasabi. My wife and I found our new favorite spot--trust me, you will too. Arigato and see you soon! #SushiHeaven #OgdenEats #ThunderRollMagic

If you opt for takeout, the prices are extremely reasonable especially if you are a Sashimi lover such as myself. As always, my favorites are the seaweed salad and squid salad; but alas, I've tried their sushi rolls and the salmon sushi roll (6 piece) is definitely one of my favorites. In regards to Sashimi, you honestly cannot go wrong with any of them! You can actually taste the smoky flavor in the smoked salmon which I've yet to find anywhere else that tastes this good. The caramel shrimp is a MUST TRY along with their fantastic and crunchy flying fish eggs. Mussels shooter's are never a disappointment! The jalapeno pepper is similar to jalapeno poppers in other Japanese establishments. Fish is always fresh and I've never had a bad meal or experience. Highly recommend Sushi Pro to all sushi enthusiast's!

Unfortunately, we stayed on 08/08/2026. My daughter tried the squid sashimi and spent the next day at urgent care and the following day at Ogden Regional ER thus ruining her vacation from AK and wasting $775 in healthcare payments thus far (before ER tacks on follow-on doctor bills, labs, remainder facility costs, etc.). Both my son and I were extremely ill, but we didn't have the squid sashimi, so that was probably our saving grace. It seems that these dishes are being "re-cycled" off the conveyor belt at different serving periods. Case in point: I grabbed one dish that was pretty much just a typical CA roll, but filled with "spicy" imitation crab instead of plain crab. The rice was dry and crumbly, the seaweed was soggy, and the avocado was black. I tried to pick up a piece off the plate and the piece literally crumbled/disintegrated--not from freshness. It was so old it wouldn't stay together when I tried to dip it in soy-wasabi; it just fell apart. Similarly, the gyzos were absolutely cold - not luke-warm, but congealed fat cold consistency. We also noticed that the cantaloupe was overly ripe in one bowl (i.e., appeared like it was rotting) while the second bowl choice was unripe (i.e., more white with a hint of orange color); we thought why bother to put those two bowls on the conveyor belt? No one would grab either one. What it did alert us to is quality control checks or lack thereof. If the kitchen has no qualms about blatantly putting those out for public consumption, what "day-olds" are they hiding or tucking into unseen items? I wouldn't order directly from the kitchen, who knows what you'll get with that kind of QC. Simply put, conveyor belt sushi in a land locked state is a big pass. Hind sight is 20/20. Enough said.
