When I want a restaurant that I know I can depend on and when I'm extremely hungry for some sushi/sashimi/and whatever else may float my boat; Ichiban is where I go! I just wanted to say that I recently tried their Wonton Soup and Tuna Avocado Salad for the first time and I was beyond words with both. Definitely two new favorites for me; and I'd definitely like to tell you that you get more than your money's worth in regards to both. It's quick and the staff are on top of things. Can't complain about Americanized Chinese and Japanese food. You get what you pay for and it's good. Ignore that pretentious snob in the back of your mind who thinks you're above that and listen to the part of you that secretly craves General Tao's Chicken. Don't go to Panda Express, support your local business. Only reason why I gave it 4/5 stars is because I treat Asian restaurants like how I was raised with Asian parents. Fabulous place for family outing, had the most wonderful evening with our adult children here. The menu has pictures of nearly every item coupled with detailed descriptions, it's really nice to know exactly what you're ordering. Vegan options available too. I picked this restaurant because they had the scallop hand roll on the menu and it was my favorite in our regular spot in San Francisco, I wasn't disappointed. Loved the specialty rolls, every one was delicious. My favorite was the Fantasy Roll. Our non-sushi eater had many choices available, he settled on Orange Chicken and was very happy with it. Really cute decor and very clean dining area. Excellent service. Our server was in-training and she did great job, plus Kyle (who was training her) had a great humor while answering our many questions. We had one small miscommunication in our order, it was fixed immediately with grace. They had an extensive cocktail and spirits menu, and a cute little bar. (We did not order any alcohol.) We always order and get our sushi delivered through DoorDash. We love that it comes with wasabi and ginger, along with soy sauce. It's hard to find good sushi out here, especially with coming from Hawaii, nothing compares to fresh sushi back home but we really enjoy the sushi we've tried from here. Our personal favorites are the fatty salmon roll because it's simple and taste fresh, and the lazy boy roll. Definitely our go to place for if we're craving sushi! read more

If you want a generic Chinese slop dinner, then you've come to the right place! Ordered the garlic beef dinner special (I know the "hint" should have been the "special" in regards to the description). If you look on other food apps it shows dinner specials with the main entree all by itself and not in a bunch of oily slop. It also comes with your choice of soup, ham fried rice, chicken lo mein, and a choice of either 2 cream cheese wontons or 2 egg rolls. I also ordered a spicy shrimp roll and received a crab roll with spicy mayo on top. It also was extremely bland and anything but "spicy" even with the spicy mayo on top. The one positive thing that I will say about the rolls here; is that they don't overdo the rice and all the rolls that I have ever tried stay intact for the whole bite or bites. I took a photo of my receipt and the roll and maybe you can figure out what it's supposed to be though my buddies and I definitely settled on the fact it's crab in appearance and taste. Stupidly went less than an hour before closing but they weren't busy so I would've thought the attention span would be better with the chef's working. Sadly, no. The garlic beef dinner hardly has any beef but a whole lot of what reminds me of the included chicken lo mein. Absolutely disgusting and now I smell like a Chinese restaurant. Hard to say if I will be back. It definitely isn't the worst but not the greatest either when the chef's couldn't even make the roll requested. read more

Finally! Sushi in Riverdale. Decided to check out the newly remodeled location and was impressed with the layout and decor. The sushi was very fresh. Numerous options on the menu for sushi rolls and bento boxes. I tried the "summer beach roll" and the "Red Bull roll with jalapeño". Both of them were great! The service was fast since they had 3 sushi chefs. I'll definitely be going back for more during their grand opening. read more

To me It's not an authentic Japanese restaurant. It's more like a combination of Japanese and Chinese type of restaurant. Sushi is just okay but better than a lot of places here in Utah. Still on the search for good sushi here in Utah. I have had amazing sushi in Japan, Michelin star rated sushi in New York, California and many other places but I just haven't found it here in Utah. The Bento box came with quite a bit of food (salad, 2 peaches out of a can, a vegetable type of stir fry, soup of choice, 4 pieces of California roll) but the flavor was lacking in the beef. We also got the tempura and that was just okay as well. I really liked the salad that came with the Bento. The egg drop soup was not good at all. I have to say they do have really really great customer service though. We will probably go back and give it another try but the search remains for good sushi. read more

This is my new favorite Asian food restaurant in the Ogden area. Excellent remodel. Very nice atmosphere. Really good sushi. The entrees I've had are stellar. Huge portions. These are the lowest prices I've seen in ages, especially considering the inflation that has hit the food industry so badly. Highly recommended. Glad I got there within a month of their opening because once the bar is open and word gets out foresee this being packed all the time. It should be! read more
