Hot Tofu is located at the food court inside the Greenland Market. It is tucked in the back. Customer service here is always pleasant. The sweet older lady who I assume is the owner, usually brings me my food instead of having me come to the counter to pick it up. I have only tried their tofu soup once and it is pretty good. The dish I keep coming back for is the spicy cold noodles! It is one of my favorite dishes in the entire food court! It does come with a side of pickled radish. The noodles, kimchi, cucumber, tossed in a spicy sauce, all topped with sesame seeds makes for a spicy and refreshing meal. Portion size is generous and even though the dish does not contain meat, it will definitely fill you up. Water is complementary and you serve yourself at a water cooler right by the ordering counter. We were wandering around Spring Mountain getting some groceries and milk tea and decided to check out what was inside the Korea Town Plaza. We've never been and found out they had a food court inside along with a Korean Grocery store. The food court's perimeter was lined with all different food options, the center had a bunch of tables, and there's no table service. No big deal, it's a food court, it's how a food court typically is set up. If there were a mariachi band playing in a Korean Food Court then I'd have a story. Anyways I digress.... We settled on Hot Tofu cause we like tofu and ....???....hot? The menu has a bunch of different combos which I could only assume was authentic Korean food? I say this because the menu was in English and Korean and if you're claiming to serve Korean food and have the Korean language on the menu you're probably going to make an effort to make the food taste as Korean as possible and avoid your country men/women/gender fluid? folk calling you out. So what did we order and how did it taste? -Combo Special #22 Spicy Pork (served with rice, japchae, meat tofu soup, and 3 side dishes). The spicy pork wasn't spicy at all, tasted sweet, meat was tender, and quantity was good. The japchae (glass noodle) tasted standard issue, nothing to write home about. The meat tofu soup could be adjusted to be mild, medium, or spicy. I got it medium and it wasn't very spicy. It did come in a scalding hot cauldron of anger and bubbles. Soup broth was flavorful, meat was tender, and tofu was soft and good. The three sides were kimchi which tasted crunchy and not very spicy, beansprouts were fine, and picked cucumber which were also sweet, tangy and standard. The rice came from a good family of doctors and was raised to treat her elders with respect and.....c'mon! I can't believe I'm writing about white rice! It was white, it was rice it was normal. -Soft Tofu Soup #2 Mushroom (served with rice, 1 fish, 3 side dishes). The side dishes and rice in this combo is the same as the one above. The fish was fried, but wasn't anything special. Flavor was a little bland. The mushroom tofu soup had button, shittake, and enoki mushrooms. The spicy level was mild. Overall it tasted very similar to the meat soup, but with way more mushrooms. Overall, the food was decent, but not really worth dropping in for as there are other Korean Tofu places around. I wanted a quick fix of KimChi Soup so I ended up here at Hot Tofu. This is located in the Greenland Super Market by all the eatery places. The soup was good but I wish it had more kimchi and meat in it. I get it that's it Tofu Soup but that's my preference. The side dishes were good and a good balance to the spicy soup. Hot Tofu stop is still in business as usual. $19.99 plus tax for the combination tofu stew + short ribs meal. Not much has changed. Credit cards accepted. Tofu stew prices will rise as inflation rises, but they are one of the cheapest for tofu stews in the area. Can't beat it. Traditional stop. Casual. It always comes with the purple rice and same banchans. Japchae noodles included. I like the taste of everything here. Cashier is still very experienced and efficient. I've tried everything else on the menu in the past. They're usually the last food stall closing after all the others closing early each day. Always try to get to the Greenland food court by 7:30 pm/no later, or you may be disappointed if you come after 8 pm to find that they have all turned off the lights to clean the kitchen and prepare for next day. Great thing about the place is not only is the food always delicious, but there's also a sanitation team that picks up bowls, plates, trays, etc., and regularly cleans the tables & chairs throughout the entire food court. You can also drop off everything at the sanitation counter next to OK Chicken after finished eating too. Everyone is very consistent and hardworking. I usually come here when I'm craving some home style cooking. The soft tofu soups are sooo good!! Especially the one with sausage and cheese... it's like crack! There's a lot of flavor and heartiness when it comes to their dishes. Definitely comfort food. It's also difficult to find good Korean food in Vegas. The service is also courteous and great, and the dishes are made in a timely manner. They're maintaining covid policies and all, and the seating area in front are well spaced out. What I can't accept is the fact the whole bottom of my seafood pancake was burnt. all of it. burnt. they tried to hide it. Short story: I never give bad reviews. But today I got scammed $10, waited an hour, and the manager to refused to give me my food. I really hope this place gets shut down. I loved coming here a lot! There was a nice lady at the front, who always had great service. However today, there was a different lady (Sounds like the same one as the past reviews). I ordered a Kimchi Soup to go and I waited an hour. I was thinking that maybe they were making it fresh, and it was taking a while. So I came up to her and politely asked if my food is almost ready. I showed her my receipt and she got mad at my girlfriend and I. She said that she saw us eating our food. I replied no we didn't grab it, we were waiting here the entire time. She yelled and argued at us for a couple minutes, and I really don't like confrontations so I just walked away. The soondubu (soft tofu/ soon tofu soup) was bland and lacking a lot. I wanted to order the tofu and beef soup but also add in mushrooms - the lady had a very difficult time understanding this request. After 5 minutes of explaining to her, she ended up saying "yes, the beef one has mushrooms." I asked her to make mine spicy, she had a hard time understanding that as well. After another 5 minutes of trying to explain the spice level I prefer my soup, she said, "get medium spicy, it's spicy." I gave up, I just said OK to get on with it. There is a major break in communication here. Don't try to request anything special, just order from the menu and deal with it. The soondubu came out bubbling with the egg already cracked in it. I mixed it up, tasted it and it was bland as heck. There was also no spice! I immediately took it back and asked if there is any way she could make it spicier, she looked upset and confused. She took the spoon out and handed it to me, took my soup back to the kitchen, came back out and told me to sit down, and she will bring it to me. When she brought it back out she told me to taste it. Shockingly it was spicy, deathly spicy - it was actually inedible now. They put a insane amount of spice. I guess I got what I deserved. I was over taking my food back, so we ate some of it - carefully. It really was painful and not enjoyable. To top it all off it was still bland as heck. They really don't understand the concept of spice levels here, so don't even try to request anything spicy. Just go with the flow and get it "medium" which is actually not spicy. Oh yeah, and not to mention the 3 banchan sides were all so bad - really bland and a disgrace to flavorful Korean food. I was so sad the kimchi was terrible. We also ordered the seafood scallion pancake which was about $13 - a pretty steep price. The reason why I'm giving them the 3 stars, is for the seafood scallion pancake. The pancake took longer to come out - about 10 minutes, but it was well worth the wait! It comes out sizzling on a stone plate. It's a nice size so I didn't feel too horrible spending $13 for it. There were good chunks of squid, octopus, and lots of scallion giving it great flavor. The stone plate kept the pancake sizzling at the table and gave the pancake a nice crispy texture, it also kept it scalding hot! We loved it! The dipping sauce was basic - just soy sauce, sesame seeds and scallion, but it was good with the crispy pancake. I would come back and just order the pancake next time. read more

The Korean lady asked me if I wanted medium spicy or spicy hot. Now, I love spicy food, but I'm always unsure of spice levels when I go to places for the first time. I picked spicy medium. I also asked for to go. Apparently when you ask for to go, they don't give you an egg. Sad. They did pack the fish, and 3 side dishes which included broccoli, bean sprouts, and kimchi. Their kimchi was very un fermented. I like my kimchi more fermented because than the flavor just tastes bland. When I got home, and opened my bag, everything was packaged nicely. My tofu soup had a thin layer of foil covering it making sure my tofu soup did not spill and stayed nice and hot. Great customer service. The cashier was very helpful, and I watched her carefully package my food. She even made sure to point out where the chopsticks and the spoon were. She even gave me a take out menu and told me that if I were to call her, she would have everything all ready. She brought out the food to me. The reason for the three stars, though. Huge fan! Granted, living on the Western Slope of Colorado, I don't get any soondubu jjigae. Unless I make it - which doesn't happen often. I was so excited to find this in a food court - at an amazingly low price. I went with family and we each ate from a different vendor. I think mine was the best. I got the kimchi version and I asked for spicy and got it. I was worried I wouldn't get an egg in it, but when she had everything assembled, I was asked if I wanted an egg. It was cracked into the boiling broth and I was happy. Sides were good - especially the fish. The cucumber kimchi could have been more highly spiced for me. But, there was so much more than I could eat. But - the soup was all gone. Yum. The lady at the register was sweet and kind. Go to Tofu Hut instead. Tofu Hut is known for cheap ayce kbbq. However, half of that small restaurant is for non ayce korean food, and the big lines aren't for that. One of their options is a soup meat combo. I believe it's almost the same price as the soup meat combos here except with better quality meat, better soup, and better sides. It might be a little further or closer depending on what side of town you're coming from, but if you want a tofu soup and meat combo, Go to Tofu Hut. read more

Errands will be the death of me. I have a tendency of forgetting to eat when I have too much to do. This was the case by the time I had to go grocery shopping before a weekend trip to Brian Head. Once I got to Greenland, I was ready to devour everything within my sight. Soondubu is one of my favorite dishes and Hot Tofu is a nice option for a quick bite. The portions are large and the flavor is one of the better ones I have had in Vegas. For less than $10; you get a boiling cauldron of soup with an egg, a small fried fish, rice, and three side dishes. The mushroom soft tofu is my go to dish. I kept digging into the bowl and came out with morsels of earthy goodness. Before I knew it, I was done and felt extremely satisfied. The woman working the counter is so sweet. She came by the cafeteria a few times during my meal to check up on me and see if I needed anything. The food was mediocre, we got shrimp heads in the soup that were dark spotted, I've been there a couple of times and the first time I thought it was me, but I got the same rude treatment from the same lady, no greeting, no thank you, I paid with a card that is not from the US and I'm almost positive she took a picture of me with her phone, I suppose just she thought I was going to scam her or something. She only is nice and caters to Korean people obviously because everyone else was getting a smile, she was talking to them and waiting on tables, it's just sad that in this day and age a business conducts business like this, I will not be going back and if you're not Korean don't bother to go there, you're gonna get the worst service you've ever had in your life. read more

A great place to pick up a to-go order of soondubu (spicy tofu soup) to take home and eat! Or you can opt to sit in the cafeteria-style area at the front of Greenland Supermarket. With your order of soondubu, you'll get a rice, a small fish, and some banchan (side dishes -- usually kimchi, some fish cakes, and some seasoned veggie like broccoli or spinach). Not bad for around $8 a person. The price gets steeper if you get a combo (adds meat). They won't give you more rice, but you can get more banchan! I'd recommend watching the spice level! Just tell them you want it spicy, but don't ask for extra spicy. If you do, be prepared to suffer the consequences. I love spicy food, but this will get me every time! read more

Typical food court stuff. For the price, I don't expect too much. Food is ok, price is good. However, the woman at the counter today is ridicules. My daughter and I went there for a quick lunch before her class. We ordered a combo to share since my daughter is not very hungry. It was nice for her to give us extra bowl, two pairs of chopsticks, napkins and a pair of scissors to cut the short ribs. We got our food not a long time later and were getting ready to eat. My daughter accidentally dropped her chopsticks on the floor. You know kids. accident happens. So, my girl went to her and try to get another pair but came back with empty hands. She said the woman refused to give her a pair of chopsticks! I was a little surprised. Well, maybe there is some language misunderstanding. I got up and asked nicely if we could get another pair of chopsticks. The woman goes " I already gave you two pairs". I was shocked. really?! a pair of chopsticks? I explained that we accidentally dropped on the floor. She still didn't want to give to me and was saying something in Korean. I repeated again that we dropped the chopsticks on the floor. I was thinking if she still didn't want to give to me, I was going to bring all the food back and ask for a refund. Finally, she gave a pair of chopsticks to me reluctantly. We finished our lunch, but I am still upset. Really? just a pair of chopsticks. you pay 2 dollars to get 2 to 300 pairs at Asian supermarket. You run a business even it's only a food court, and you have to be that cheap? Well, I guess we won't go back again. read more
