    L2. Sweet and Sour Chicken

Ordered the sweet sour pork lunch special and was honestly surprised at the amount of food I received considering the extremely reasonable price. The pork was perfectly fried and served with a good amount of rice with no clumps. Won ton chips on the side was a nice touch. Egg flower soup was a bit heavy on the corn starch. Service overall was nice and fast. Food was still hot when I got home 15 minutes later. Honestly wasn't sure if the restaurant was open at first since the sign was not lit and the dining room was mostly empty and a lot of the lights were off.

The food here is my new favorite for Chinese food in the area! The taste exceeded my expectations. Their sesame chicken and beef egg rolls have me hooked and craving more. The eggs rolls were so packed with food and large for their size; plus, usually beef is not an option for egg rolls so I loved that option. The price is very fair for the quality of the food you get. Customer service was very friendly and provide you with many sauces, etc. that you may need without even asking. Ambiance is chill and that of a small venue paired with the option for takeout. Love the food and can't wait to keep trying more! YUM

I really enjoy coming here. I love there soups Wonton Soup is my favorite. Their vegetable soup feels so good when I am feeling under the weather. There is plenty of parking. The service is always nice. The prices are decent compared to other places. This is a great place to order to go when I am busy and fun to sit back with some friends for lunch or dinner. It's quiet, the seats are comfortable and clean. They take Debit, Credit Cards and as always cash is king . The wait time is average, so I call ahead when I can and they just pick it up on my way home. Give it a try, why not, I did and it was a good choice for me.

Chicken Fried Rice with egg (No soy sauce). That's all I wanted, and it sure did hit the spot. Thank you Happy Wok!

I love fried rice. Do you? I'm a big fan of Chicken Fried Rice. It makes me feel so warm and cozy. I've always loved it since I was a little kid. When I think about Chinese food, often Chicken Fried Rice comes into my mind. Well today, I was driving and running errands and started feeling hungry, then I saw this restaurant in my peripheral vision so I stopped by and ordered my all time favorite, Chicken Fried Rice!!! One very important thing though, is that I always make sure there will be no soy sauce on my fried rice. I can't stand soy sauce on my fried rice. I much much prefer "white" fried rice. I decided to ordered it to go and eat in my car. I also got myself a can of Sprite. The whole thing was little less than $13. OK...so right now I'm actually eating in my car and I am so happy. The portion is large enough for two meals for sure. I'm already full as I'm about to take a pic. What else can I say? Chicken fried rice from Happy Wok is on point! I am gonna go back there and order this Chicken Fried Rice again for sure. Yum yum yum high five!

    What...is this? Yuck.

Got the BBQ pork and the pieces were so thinly cut and there wasn't a whole lot of it. The honey walnut shrimp was breaded SOOO thick and undercooked. I had to throw it away. The egg rolls were huge but overcooked which made the flavor nothing special. The chow-mien was plain and lacked...everything. The orange chicken was also nothing special. We were recommended this place by "friends" so swore up and down it's a great place...they are liars and I will not be trusting them going forward. Someone else's review mentioned a few hours later they got sick. I can already feel my stomach turning. Go to China a go go or panda. Not worth it AT all. You've been warned. UPDATE: I found a hair. Assumed it was mine. My bf found a hair as well. It was black. I'm blonde. He's BALD. This place needs to be shut down.

This is my second visit to Happy Wok. I placed an online order for their lunch special. I ordered the sweet and sour shrimp with chow mein. It also comes with egg drop soup, an egg roll, and a drink for $11.55! The shrimp was crispy and tasted so good with the sweet and sour sauce, and the noodles were very flavorful. Even the egg drop soup and beef egg roll were delicious. The service was amazing. I'm always greeted with friendliness and never have to wait. There were a few patrons inside, and there is lots of seating for families. All-in-all, I recommend Happy Wok.

We were looking for a nice place to have dim sum with our good friend's going away to college…read morebrunch for his son. As I opened the Yelp app I see the nicest business owner reply from Palette Tea. Perfect timing Palette it is!!! They sat us right away for our reservation for six even though only two of us had arrived. We were sure they were minutes behind because our friend is super punctual. Our server was super nice and understanding as our friends arrived 45 minutes late. They kept us updated as they were stuck on the freeway . There was a big accident. While we were waiting I asked for assistance with the menu. I asked if there was anything that was gluten free. He said yes and ran away. I thought he was getting a gf menu so I was getting hopeful. I saw him running around the restaurant and into the back of the house and then he didn't come back for a while so I didn't know what was going on. He then arrived with a gf menu. One that he went to the chefs and made one on the spot for me. He marked everything on the menu that could be made gf. Now that is service! I thanked him for taking the time to do that for me. If he just rambled off everything it would be so hard to remember it all, not to mention that the restaurant now has a gf menu. Every dish we had was delicious. Wagyu beef chow fun gf, Poached Chinese Kale (Gai Lan gf, Braised Japanese Egg Tofu w/ Assorted Mushroom gf, crispy noodles with exotic seafood, Wok Fried Wagyu Steak w/ Asparagus, Cucumber Salad with Sesame Dressing gf, Steamed Beef Tripe w/ Ginger & Scallion Sauce, Rainbow Shrimp Dumplings. Turnip cake and shiu mai. The absolute can't miss were the Wagyu Steak w/Asparagus and Japanese egg tofu. I also had the watermelon juice that was super fresh and sweet. It was only $8 for a large glass. It's the best deal I've ever gotten for fresh watermelon juice. It was a great afternoon with friends. The service was top notch. The food was on point and Palette Tea proved again why it is on our favorite list for dim sum and a great place to gather with friends and family. We can't recommend this restaurant enough. It is also a beautiful room as well.

There were several dishes where the ingredients seemed to compete rather than complement each other. The mochi ducklings were adorable and perfect for photos, but the filling wasn't particularly memorable. The lightly sweet-yet-savory flavor combined with the chestnut crunch was actually a little off-putting. For a meat-filled mochi, I expected something more distinctly savory. The rainbow shrimp crepes were another visual standout, but the rice roll itself was too thick and not as soft or flavorful as I would have liked. The colorful bands looked interesting, but whatever vegetable or herb mixture was used had such a strong flavor that it overwhelmed the shrimp and sauce. The shrimp ended up feeling like an afterthought. The coconut pudding was also gorgeous, but the texture was surprisingly firm--closer to agar than a soft, creamy pudding. I've had much better versions elsewhere. The lobster dumplings were good, although I wish they had been served with a plate. They arrived in the bamboo steamer directly on the table, and after pumping the butter into the dumplings, it ended up running all over the table. The fried tofu was probably the safest choice and enjoyable. The fried bass was good as well, except for the peppercorn seasoning. I was expecting more of a classic salt-and-pepper flavor, but the Sichuan-style zing felt out of place to me. One small but important operational suggestion: they should replace the black credit card holders. The card blends into the holder so well that it's incredibly easy to overlook. I actually left my credit card behind because I couldn't see it in the holder. A contrasting color or different design would probably prevent a lot of forgotten cards. Overall, it was an interesting experience with beautiful presentation and some very creative ideas, but for me, the visuals were stronger than the flavors. I'm glad I tried it, but it probably isn't somewhere I'd return to.
