They will lie to keep your money when keeping you from getting a part that costs nearly one thousand dollars and claim to be innocent. Ups was provided instructions to hold at a cvs location instead of the next door ups facility. This guy is a hack and a thief and knows all the tricks to keep negative and honest reviews from hitting his eBay store. If this nonsense continues I will see his lies hold up in small claims court in TX.

I saw a cashier with his coat on as I observed my surroundings. I responded and said, oh I thought the store closed at 9PM. He said it is 9. I said no, it's 8:58PM. He argued with me and eventually let me into the store when I asked if they close every day at 8:58. I even asked for the store managers phone number and they said they didn't have it. The next day I went into the store to have a conversation with the store manager. The manager confirmed that the last customer should be taken at 9pm.... the store manager didn't apologize for my experience but said that he would talk to the person I described.... horrible experience

I mentioned it and they said he was here before, and was a returning customer I said so was I and I was here before other customer. Basically shrugged shoulder and still helped out other customer. Customer had same skin color so I was basically ignored. I walked out and have never been back. I used a location in livonia, there they had great service and no racist attitude. Great customer service, came out to my car and actually replaced part that was defective, I didn't even ask him to do it, he went in came back out with part and tool and was done with repair in like 30 seconds one bolt to remove and replace and done. I asked him how much for labor, no charge, he actually looked confused, like why would I ask that. Gave him a fiver anyway for the effort, maybe buy a cheap lunch somewhere. Paid for part and was gone in like 5 min. To me longer to drive there than what it took to do total transaction. I love it when people go out of their way to help. That location gets five stars from me. This spot can kiss my ass.

I contacted Nick and he said that he'd give me $450 for the car and that he'd meet me whenever, which was a legitimate offer that I was happy to consider. While he ended up sending one of his guys out to get the car on time, he (his employee) immediately said that the "catalytic converter" was bad (I had just recently put $1,000 into the car and had a full checkout of the car from the shop; this was never found to be an issue) and tried to now take it for $350, and this after showing up and saying that the settling price over the phone was $400. This "catalytic converter" problem was apparently what his boss had said when he sent him a picture of the car. Since I was from out of town, I wasn't going to have any major qualms and settled with $400 but figured I'd write this review. So, by all means use Nick's Cash for Junk Cars, but just be ready with backup offers and others on hand so that he doesn't slash you for the little money that you'll end up getting anyways.

I was already working with Scott at Michigan Sandblasting and planned to have my Jeep's underbody sandblasted there. Rashid told me they could apply POR-15 afterward, so based on that I paid to have the Jeep towed down there. After it arrived, everything changed. Rashid started questioning the project and for over a week I was given the runaround. Multiple times Rashid told me he would "talk to Scott figure out a solution and call me back," but the call back never happened. Every time I followed up I got the same vague response and nothing actually moved forward. Rashid knew all of the details prior to me towing it down there. If this wasn't a job they wanted to take on, that should have been communicated from the beginning instead of telling me to bring the vehicle down and spend money towing it there. It's extremely frustrating to be told something can be done, only to have the shop avoid giving a straight answer after the vehicle is already there. Very disappointing and unprofessional way to handle a customer. I wasted time and money because they couldn't simply be upfront about whether they were willing to do the work.

Exhaust systems as a commodity is what Motor City Muffler is all about. If you just want your car…read moreto be quiet and don't care about brand names or factory sourcing, this is where you go. Rich is the man, and seems to have been bending pipe and installing systems just about forever. When used car dealers buy vehicles at auction, this is where they bring them to upgrade those leaky, rusty exhausts. If it's possible to just fix your exhaust, Rich will tell you so and weld in that new piece (flex pipe, for example) for you. Of course he'll also custom bend and install everything from converter back if that's what you need. When we had one car's exhaust go in Ypsi, a well-regarded, fairly priced (per reviews) shop there quoted $343, converter back. When towed back to Rich at Motor City, the price for the same work was $160. I don't even want to think about what a dealer or brand name shop would have charged! A bonus from my perspective is that he allows waiting customers to sit within viewing range of work in progress. Those welders put on quite the fireworks show! Scary neighborhood? Yep! Luxurious waiting area? Nope! (Think plastic chairs, spray painted gold, set at the far edge of the work area.) Convenient hours? Not that either. Nice folks though (staff and other customers, both) if you can just go with the flow and kind of get into their scene. The work isn't always perfect, but they're very agreeable to welding up any tiny missed spots for bring-backs. What you get is decent work at more than fair prices.
