What should have been a manageable repair turned into a much bigger financial burden than I expected. What feels unfair is that the delays and uncertainty weren't caused by anything I did, yet I was the one absorbing all the extra costs. There was no offer of support, compensation, or even a realistic estimate to help me prepare. When a customer is without their vehicle for that long, especially without updates or accurate timelines, it creates stress, inconvenience, and unnecessary financial strain. While I appreciate the advisor's personal effort, the overall experience with the repair process was disappointing and ended up costing me far more than it should have. They did cover it I have had nothing but issues with my car. The next day i was in bell tire with alignment issues, loose tyrods and bad shocks Then the day after that I was in carite by my house so they could fix the windshield wipers that werent working. they paid for this stuff to be done. I went to the dealer ship only to find out i couldnt pull a warranty on this car from mopar because it came from Canada. Even if it did have a US vin. It took me 4 days working with Chrysler to get a decent warranty because of that. I was so mad i was in tears. I recently had my tires replaced because of the bad ones on there. I noticed a my rpms were too high on the car on a cold start. The odometer was giving me an error before it started and then i kept hearing noises from my engine. Which ended up being because I had no coolant in there. This is all in the span of a month since i have bought it. I took it to the dealership now for repair and they are having issues because my odometer is reading KM but its really mileage. so after few phone calls I decided to pull my own car report from Canada. The car was in a major collision with structural damage. It was Disclosed at the auction where they purchased it.. it doesnt have a salvage title. I paid 19k for this car plus traded in my perfectly fine durango that was still under mopar warranty until this sept. I just wanted a newer old style durango with lower mileage before I moved out of state in the middle of no where. If they would have disclosed this information I would have walked away and kept looking. I was not in a rush. They charged me full clean retail for this car and non stop headaches. However, my car had "excess wear and use": the hood and grill were damaged. It was suggested that I take the car to LaFontaine to be appraised and to find out the repair cost. My intent was to make the necessary repairs and re-lease in 90 days. The sales person took my car to Service to be appraised for damages but Instead of properly advising me of the cost--he proceeded to lease me a 2026 Seltos. Therefore, I'm left believing they were either covering the cost or rolling the repair charges into the purchase of the 2026. So I left a $3500.00 downpayment. A month later, I received a bill from KIA Finance for $1456.64. If the sales person and his manager had properly advised me, I could have taken care of the cost and re-leased in 90 days. They wanted my low mileage car so bad until they misled me in order to procure a sale. I will be taking this up with the A.G.

I mentioned that my husband needed lots of shoulder room, especially in the back seat, Mark got in the car, with my husband in the front seat, showing how roomy it was for his long legs, how much head room, etc. He offered a quick test drive and off we went dodging around the parking lot, between cars, etc. Mark really answered all my questions at the time, explained about their financing (through a credit union - yes!), we bonded over Ghostbusters and comic book sci fi heroes, sat through a rainstorm, and I got the car for $500 under the sticker in the window (thank you sales!!). Kia refused to fix my car, unless I bought 2 oil change & tire rotations plans paid in FULL before Kia would replace my oil pan, per Harpreet and Eli. I'm still covered under 100,000 warranty. I took Lafontaine kia of Dearborn to court. I had paperwork from a couple different car repair companies that stated the screw/plug was stripped. The judge stated that I needed the mechanics in court not the paperwork or pictures so that he could question them about what they saw. I had no one. So the judge dismissed the case. I had to pay another car repair company to replaced my oil pan. It's the principle of it. It seemed unethical for Kia to ask me to pay for their oil plan when damage was done to my car during an oil change, before they would fix my car. I have only gone to kia to get my oil changed the whole 6 years that I've had my car. I guess their customer service statement doesn't apply to everyone. And to my understanding you can only take them to the 19th district court in dearborn because that dealership is in Dearborn.
