It was my daughter's birthday 2/6/2026 and we were having a family celebration. She ordered online for pick up, the order was 3 pizzas and bread sticks. Said it would be ready in 20 minutes so when she got there, they said her order was never processed and to wait. She waited inside the building for an additional HOUR continuously asking for updates before an employee suggested she just cancel her order. No sorry. No how can we make this right. Absolutely no consideration for a paying customer. Not only was that horrible customer service, it upset her on her birthday and we had a house full of hungry family ( 5 of whom are kids age 12-2, who were very hungry and cranky) She supposedly will get a refund, she is a first responder as well, who helps this community and this happens. Now four local families will never return to this pizza establishment and we will advise others to not eat there as well. Used this location for a small delivery catering order. Fantastic service, communication, and efficiency! Start to finish, employees were kind and helpful. Our go-to pizza place. I love their breadsticks the best out of all the pizza places. We always get The Deal which is $4 off a large pizza, order of breadsticks, and 2 drinks. I love that they bring your drink in a reusable cup,but as I was cleaning out my kitchen getting ready for a yard sale I realized I had a whole shelf of just hotbox cups in my cabinet. We've never had any issues with delivery, they are always pretty quick and my order is accurate. My favorite is the tootsie rolls that come in the pizza box. A cute extra touch. read more

my boyfriend and i ordered a sausage and pepperoni pizza, breadsticks witch cheese and ranch dipping sauces, the cookie, and brownie for dessert. i enjoy their sausage pizza because the sausage is really thinly chopped! it's my favorite. we love the different themed cups that they have available! the food was delicious and was ready within 25 minutes. the employees on the phone were patient and nice as well. the restaurant is small but has a few tables available to sit at and wait for your order to be ready or dine in if you choose. one of my favorite aspects is being able to get my own refill at the refill station! read more

Probably one of my favorite local "chain" type pizza joints! Can't go wrong with "The Deal", Large pizza with stix (choice of sauce-pick the garlic) and 2 drinks for under $20. Never had a bad pizza! They even offer catering discounts which we have used for parties! Weekly they have a POTW (Pie Of The Week). It's a pizza offered at half price! Helps out your pockets some! Heavy Veggie is probably my favorite...or the Porky the pie! But hey a good old fashion spicy pepperoni is amazing as well! We recently moved and they now deliver to us. I can not tell you how excited my family was when we discovered this!!! HotBox pizza is a decent pizza joint and you can usually get your food pretty quickly and it's pretty inexpensive. Depending on who you talk to or where you went to college HotBox is either the bees knees or they hate it. All my purdue friends are all about HotBox pizza, and my IU friends (or husband) cant stand HotBox. I dont discriminate my pizza, either you good pizza or you suck, this is one of the better pizza joints if you want something pretty fast. I usually go for the 10" Porky the Pig which has pepperoni, bacon, sausage and ham on it, all meat all the way. I usually get a side of breadsticks as well and a coke to go because I love collecting those cups. That's the main reason I go, I love the cups, they are so useful for so many different things. I have always wanted to try the seasonal pizza before, maybe in the new year. read more

Just had what could have been a terrible experience salvaged by really good management. I ordered a large thin crust pizza and a salad, and my hotel is a 10 minute drive (google maps had it at 8). The pizza arrived 62 minutes later, cold. I called the store ready to be disappointed again and the manager immediately refunded the price of the order. Even though I had to microwave the mushroom, olive, and tomato pizza (not optimal), this was a good pizza and HotBox will definitely get my business again. I love HotBox, but this location can't seem to match the service quality as other locations. Deliveries always seem to be a problem, with delivery times double what is estimated, and constant parts of orders missing. So tired of getting my pizza but not my sauce, and having to wait for another 30 minutes for them to deliver it, when it should have been included the first time. Hopefully the management takes notes, finds out where the misses are occurring in your process, and fix it. read more

Being hungry after being at IMS for the 500 I called to have a pizza and salad delivered to my hotel room. I ordered the Porky The Pie. When you order delivery from a restaurant that you have never tried you hope for a decent meal. HotBox did not disappoint. The pizza was delivered hot and tasty. The salad was fresh and not heated from traveling next to a hot pizza. The best part was that this pizza was the "pizza of the week". Half off!! I really enjoyed the price. First time we tried it it was great. Fresh, hot we got a pepperoni with extra cheese and it was perfect. We eat a lot of pizza so we went against this time on a Sunday they have a half of special I guess every Sunday this day it was the porky the pig. Completely disappointed, it was so dry like they cooked it that morning then reheated it when we ordered. We will be back one more time since the first time was so good and pizza choices in the area are bleak. UPDATE: The restaurant reached out to me almost immediately after I posted. We moved to Indy in April and before then, I had never eaten Hotbox Pizza. Wow, I sure am glad that changed! The Southport location is the closest to us and I have always had a great experience when getting carryout. They're really fast and my order is always correct. I absolutely love Hotbox thin crust and their cheese sticks! So far, we have tried several different specialty pizzas. The Pie Of The Week (POTW) is usually our go-to as it allows us to try more varieties from their menu and at half-price! Supreme is my favorite and my husband really liked Porky the Pie. Heavy Veggie and Chicken Ranch are also great and perfect on thin-crust! The POTW is seriously an incredible deal for a great pizza! A Gourmet Pizza at a GREAT PRICE I Loved this pizza the crust was the best I have ever had and the toppings were very generous. We got the veg with chicken. I had a little trouble finding it because I am not from the area and also by the map I thought I could get to it from Emerson but couldn't. We ordered one large pizza and I wrote three dollars on the tip we got a notice from our credit card asking if that eight dollar tip was the correct amount that we wanted or if it looked suspicious it was definitely suspicious. Our tip was changed from three dollars to eight dollars. I was told by the manager Alex that my drivers name was Antonio. When I called and brought this matter to their attention I was told by Alex the manager that nobody would be fired for this they will just talk to them to make sure it doesn't happen again. I love this pizza place. Might easily be my new favorite place. I have had it twice now, and both times was just exquisite. Everything is just perfect about it. The crust is the perfect thickness (I just ordered whatever the default was. I think traditional maybe). Their sauce is flavorful, but not overpowering like some places. They also put the perfect amount on. And their cheese is just amazing. I can tell they use quality ingredients. I really love just plain cheese pizza, but some places can't do it right. That is not the case with HotBox. It is just perfect. It also warms up really well in the microwave the next day, so don't hesitate to order extra for leftovers. read more

This place is a half step above pizza hut; a glorified Dominos. As a pizza connoisseur, I should have known better than to order from a chain, especially when the yelp reviews lacked sufficient descriptions of the pizza (so many comment just say things like "great pizza" or "good food"). I ordered, online, the special that included a one-topping pizza, bread sticks, and drinks and had it delivered; my pizza was a thin-crust spicy pepperoni. The good: The delivery was relatively fast, the food was warm, pepperoni was plentiful, and the delivery guy was nice, which is why I can't give it a 2 or 1. The bad: the pizza tastes JUST LIKE domino's thin crust, same texture, same cardboard-y-ness and the breadsticks tasted like big half-baked dough balls...I couldn't finish any of it. When I look at the reviews, I realize that I just must be a pizza snob. ..so many people like the pizza and have no complaints. Maybe these people are like my husband who just thinks "a pizza is a pizza no matter where you go." I just discovered this newer location over the weekend. I am so excited to have one so near where I live. What made my and my husband's experience even better was the guy who took our order and brought out our food. His name is John and took great care of us! I received a coupon in the mail and it doesn't state at all whether it's takeout only. Breadsticks are plenty for me to eat and the manager told the crew that it would not be able to be delivered without a 10$ purchase. What is the point of a coupon if you can't use it ESPECIALLY if the coupon does not say a purchase is required. Not really happy at this moment.
