I was pleased to find that Giorgio's Pizza was only 480 ft in distance from the hotel I stayed at while visiting the city of Indianapolis. My visit came post leaving the Indiana Convention Center for Indianapolis Monumental Marathon Health & Fitness Expo and Packet Pickup. With it being so close to my hotel, I knew that I would visit at some point to carb load prior to the run. Looking at the displays of pizza, I took interest in and ended up ordering a white slice with a can of dr pepper - strawberries & cream. As my slice was being heated in the oven, I had the opportunity to look around as well as admire the pictures near the entrance, which featured memorable sporting moments as well as some with the owner. Giorgio's has an acceptable number of tables with seats in the dining area to give you a chance to enjoy your meal onsite while it is hot and fresh. Prior to tasting my white slice, I could not resist smirking, as I smelt its garlicky smell and glanced at it in my lap which prompted my mouth to salivate. It had a slightly crunchy, yet satisfying taste. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a slice of pizza that will surely leave you satisfied in that moment. In closing, I had a great experience as I have indicated in this review of Giorgio's Pizza. And with that being said, I share my endorsement of it as well with you all on yelp. Giorgio's is the perfect stop if you are out near Monument Circle and looking for a quick slice. Service: 5 | Ambiance: 4 | Food: 5 ~ Good vibes coming your way ~ Thomas G

Came in for lunch and ordered two slices, The inside looks a little dated, but with nice pictures. The pizza itself was pretty good for Indianapolis, New York style pizza spot. I would definitely be coming back if I was craving a New York style slice in the city

After a long and freezing walk around Downtown Indianapolis, this was THE PERFECT end to our night. There was plenty of room to sit and enjoy your pizza. We ordered two white, one sausage and one ham and pepperoni. The crust was outstanding. It was the closest to an NY Pizza I've had recently. Because the pizzas were so good, we ordered a Cannoli - and it was delicious. We were served our orders very quickly. I highly recommend you stop by here if you're in downtown Indianapolis.

While staying at a downtown hotel for the weekend, we stumbled across G's Pizza. Located near the War Memorial, G's serves up New York style pizza, sub sandwiches, and some other Italian entrees. The dining area was packed on a Saturday evening but we managed to find a seat and the staff brought out order out to us. We ordered pizza slices with bread sticks and drinks. While I'm not generally a big fan of New York pizza and its typically thin, droopy crust, this version was quite good. The crust was properly crisp without being tough. The dough is hand-tossed and the pizza maker clearly knew his craft, getting a thin pie without overworking the dough. The sauce had a nice kick of pepper but not overly spicy and was perfect for both the pizza and a dipping sauce for the bread sticks. Overall, this is a great place for a tasty and quick meal. Recommended.

Georgio has some good eats...but also a few demerits. Nice location right off monument circle. The storefront is small but it actually leads into a pretty sizeable room in the building. So there's lots more seating then you would expect from the outside. People were super nice behind the counter and seemed to take pride in their work. I got a calzone which tasted ok but was a little light on filling. It was 75% dough and just a few tablespoons of the goodies inside. They need to stuff that up a little more. Also - its not a self serve drink station. You just get one and done on the drinks (unless the refill for you). I didnt ask - so maybe thats how it works. Regardless you gotta have the self serve station. Pizza looked good so maybe thats the way to go. Not a bad little place.

Been eating at Giorgio's Pizza for over 30 years and the pizza is still the best NY style in Indianapolis. They also have great, simple, American Italian food and great lunch specials. Their pepperoni stuffed breadsticks are delicious, too. A downtown Indy lunch staple or get a pie to go for dinner. Can't go wrong! Love Giorgio's!!

Baked beef lasagna. 0/10. Ordered from Feb bar area and they re-heat using a microwave. The edges are hard, and the sauce is like water. Also if you pay using your card, they add a 4% service charge. Sodas by the fountain are 2.95 and no refills.

The entrees (the monkfish special and the carbonara) were good but not great. I did appreciate the crispy, smoky pancetta in the carbonara but the monkfish had a somewhat mushy texture rather than the he firmness we would normally expect. The biggest issue, though, was the check. The calamari never came off, the meatballs for the children's pasta were more expensive than what was on the menu, and we were charged for an extra calamari dipping sauce that we did not ask for. Most of these problems were fixed but the whole thing illustrated a lack of attention to detail and an appearance of up-charging the customer in any way possible. Overall: Food: fair 4/5 Service: decent 3.5/5 Pricing: suspicious 2/5

Service was good and we were seated immediately and checked in on at a good pace throughout the night. We ordered the... Burrata Caprese 5/5 - Just get it. Get it. This was so good. We shared this as an appetizer and it was a great start. Short Rib Ravioli 5/5 - This was so good. Would definitely order again, flavor was just there and showing up. Shrimp Scampi 4/5 The shrimp was good, however didn't leave much of an impression for us. It could also be just because the range of different flavors we got this just seemed pretty ok. Dessert!!! We shared a cappuccino cheesecake and it was actually really really good. Was super tempted to get the tiramisu but we were feeling for something new and this didn't disappoint. Since we did it family style we thought the price was really reasonable and if you were visit for a late lunch or early dinner the area looks like a great place to walk and peruse at the little shops.

My husband was able to easily make a reservation online and when we arrived, we tried to find a spot in the small lot behind the restaurant, but we had to find street parking nearby. We did arrive a little early, about 15 minutes. Thankfully they were able to seat us right away, and we were excited to see that we could make their happy hour (5-6) if we ordered soon! Unfortunately, there may have been some miscommunication about sections, and we weren't acknowledged until right at 6pm. A whole 15 minutes of multiple staff walking around us and not even a glass of water. I honestly just assumed it had something to do with our 6pm reservation. Either way, our very kind waitress did offer us last minute happy hour drinks, so i guess if all worked out! I do think she felt badly about our wait. She was so nice that she gave us prosecco for a toast before our meal, and offered free tiramisu. So, major props on the hospitality! Our food was really delicious. My husband did the devour, which included the Truffle Arancini, Bocca Cesare, Tortellacci, and Lemon Sorbet for dessert. I enjoyed the Cavatappi and tiramisu. Everything was fresh and delicious. We can't wait to return and sit on their patio.

What a perfect excuse to go back and verify that my first experience was no fluke! They impressed again with what could be the best calamari fritti I have ever had. The calamari itself was melt in your mouth tender and the breading was both light and flavorful. The lemon herb aioli? On point! The first time I ate there, I ordered the branzino - which was amazing. Tender, flaky, and mild with the perfect crispiness in the exterior. Everyone who ordered it on this second visit raved about it. For my second visit, I branched out to the carbonara which was as beautiful on the palate as it looked in the bowl. A perfect crunchiness of the pancetta counterbalanced the tenderness of the pasta which was prepared to a perfect al dente. I reviewed a carbonara from a different restaurant earlier this year and now have an apples to apples comparison that heavily favors Vicino. Service was outstanding despite being very busy that evening and the interior had a nice modern chic appearance - if that matters to you.
