Stopped in told them my babe and quickly gave me my order and receipt to sign. Got a small b-ripp and an order of stix. Pizza was slightly better than average. Something seems slightly off with the artichokes and sun-dried tomatoes, like they were over cooked maybe, but overall the dough was fluffy and the pizza tasted good. The sticks also were good for being plain breadsticks. They had a nice amount of salt and airiness to them. Total for a small specialty and 6 sticks was $20 which I thought was a little pricy but not outrageous. If I were to go back again, I might try to stick with a classic pizza flavor rather than one of their specialty pies to give it a fair comparison to other spots. What a great pizza! I really enjoyed the special pizza I was offered Friday night after 5pm. It was loaded with meat and the crust was made the way I like a crust to be made. The 10" pizza was hot and very tasty. I forgot to ask for bread sticks to go with my order. I had plenty to eat and had half of the pizza left over for Saturday lunch. This week, I had Hotbox for the first time since college. It was much better than I remembered! We got the POTW (pie of the week), just the "Hotbox." pizza, a classic. BTW, "double pepperoni" means there is pepperoni UNDER the cheese and pepperoni that you see on top. I was impressed by the littlest detail-- EVERY SLICE WAS ALMOST EXACTLY THE SAME SIZE (you appreciate this when you're trying to split it evenly with another person equally as hungry as you). Other than that, my notes are: very crusty, less than optimal sauce, filling...but because it's mostly filler. Worst pizza place in Indy. I ordered a pizza last night. $20 was deducted from my bank account but I never got my pizza. I ordered a Dixie Pizza and an order of bread sticks. I called the store a bunch of times and nobody answered. I called again today, more than 12 hours later, money still missing from my account, and I was told to call back at 5pm to talk to the general manager and that nothing else could be done for me. I get better customer service from the street lights. I am a supervisor at a local restaurant and I would be ashamed if this were my store. I am super excited about this little area around 71st and 465 growing with business! Why? Because HotBox is now a quick jump off of 465 on my way home. This is dangerous. We have recently rediscovered our love for their breadsticks, if you have never had them, just go right now. I recommend their garlic dipping sauce but most of my friends rave about their cheese sauce. We also newly discovered the amazing pizza known as chicken bacon ranch, we get it on thin crust and it is sooo addicting. Their other pizzas are good as well and they offer a good range of topping options beyond the standard 10 or so topping you see elsewhere. We typically order our pizza online, which is super easy, even on the mobile website and then I pick up on my way home so I can't speak to their delivery or dining-in experience. Besides one slightly odd visit, the customer service has been great here and pizza has been fresh and hot when I pick it up.
