Stayed here for a night. Will 100% be back. Prices are very competitive and unlike other affordable hotels right on the beach, the rooms are nice. The rooms are nothing crazy, but are clean and nice. It's a 5 minute walk from your room to the beach and there's a restaurant with a beach side bar behind the hotel. Service was solid. No issues and they even got us into our room early. Only thing is you have to pay for parking, but it is covered and like $12 so it's not that bad. Perfect location and price that doesn't break the bank for a quick trip. read more

The hotel is walking distance to the beach which is nice. We had a room right by the stairs which meant that we heard people going past our room all night. It was hard to sleep because of that. The beach right by the hotel has a lot of jellyfish, I got stung at least 6 times during the couple of minutes I was in the water. The bed was alright but not super comfy. The water pressure in the shower is really really strong. It was so strong that it actually hurt. It is super close to the USS Lexington and aquarium. We were excited about how close food places were but Yo Philly and fajita ville were closed while we were there. We ended up having to doordash food. There's pros and cons to this hotel. This is a great hotel. Well situated near restaurants, site seeing, and the beach. Away from the congestion of downtown. Room was a bit crowded with the two beds, but the bathroom was the perfect size. One problem is with the bed frame: the corners stick out, so we kept hitting them. We were disappointed that housekeeping didn't arrive until after 3 pm. We had already returned from the beach and were resting. Just grabbed coffee and a few towels from the woman because we were in no condition to leave to allow cleaning. Front desk staff were very friendly and made check in very smooth. AC didn't work. Like at all. They provided a box fan... Still uncomfortable and hot (so much so we didn't even sleep under the blankets. ) Musty smell and needs to be updated. Paint patchwork was obvious though out the room. Someone walking past our room and would tap on the door and run. Curtains would leave gaps when closed. Creepy. Likely won't return. 4-14-2024: Please read before booking THEY HAVE BED BUGS. My husband and I checked into this super cute beach front hotel, went to the beach then the top rank boxing event. Got back to the hotel around midnight to get some sleep then head back to Houston in the morning. SMH bruh, I woke up around 2:15am with my arm swollen and face itchy. I woke my husband up and asked if he was itching and we took our phones to look behind the bed and there they were, packed with blood. I'm so disgusted and want my refund. We left the hotel less than 30 mins later and we are so exhausted. The part that messed with me the most is them knowing and allowing us to have the room anyway. There's no way you care about your guest. Now we are having to buy expensive bed bug laundry detergent and spray so it's not transferred into my home. Dude I'm like livid. There's no I'm sorrys because you knew! We wanted to support a small business and be by the beach. This hotel was a complete mistake 4-15-2024 Update: it's now 8:46am and half of my face is completely swollen. I took Benadryl around 7am so hopefully it goes down and I don't have to go to the hospital. My husband didn't get bit as much as I did. Every time I look at my face I feel like some type of offering or something. Like they just sat around me and just feasted. I called Booking dot com because something just told me not to trust them, it was weird that even if the refund was getting sent to booking dot com, I would have gotten something about a refund. I gave them a call and they stated "we aren't on the refund board" they created a case and plan on contacting the property 4-16-2024: I contacted the property again and received no response. They are attempting to keep my money after they said I'll be getting a refund. Also by today the swelling on my face and arms went completely down and I didn't need to go to the hospital. There are bedbugs in the hotel! Room 112 to be exact. I have never seen them before in my life. But after checking in and then taking a shower. I got ready for bed. I could feel some thing crawling on me at around 2 am. And when I got up to check, there were bedbugs all over my pillow! I was disgusted and horrified. I immediately packed up all my things and headed downstairs to check out. Even worse, the guy who I turned in my hotel keys to didn't think it was big deal. He said that if we switched to a different room then the bed bugs would travel as well. I'm pretty sure most of the hotel has bed bugs. It's irresponsible of them to not have checked the cleanliness of the hotel room before hand. I had to go to the laundromat at 3 am and booked a different hotel at 4am. It was difficult going back to sleep. I couldn't go to sleep until hours later. Later on, I felt like I was getting sick. They have made the whole stay at Corpus Christi horrible. We stayed in room 105 on a Tuesday night. Room was VERY clean. No hair anywhere. Clean mattresses & good sheets. There wasn't any sand in the room either. We didn't have the "view", but just a short walk & you're at the beach. In my opinion, that's the best view. Good towels too. The soap, shampoo & conditioner on provided was from Bath & Body Works, mint, eucalyptus& coconut kind( pretty smart, mosquitoes don't like mint). The beds & pillows are clean & comfy. Lighted parking under the building. For the price & location, it's perfect. Mike was a great guy. I'd definitely come back. The only reason it didn't get a five star... no breakfast or laundry station but that's minor. All the major factors in making a stay worth the money is right on! read more

Hotel used to be Gulf Beach 2 "Luxury Inn & Suites" One of the older trashy hotels just given a facelift....Bright colors to make you think that it has been completely remodeled but after staying a few times in the past pre facelift and now post facelift it is still the same hotel, same rude staff and $100 for 15 minutes as late checkout NO WAY NEVER AGAIN. Maybe if the AC WINDOW unit worked properly thru the night and a good night of rest kept me sleeping a little behind schedule $100 for late check out would be ok but for 15 minutes and due to tossing and turning in a hot and sweaty room it could not be justified....There are way nicer hotels for the same price maybe less do not be fooled by the facelift of old smoky walls covered up to look nice. This place reminds me of the hourly hooker hotels on S.Presa ST. in San Antonio TX....Paint and new amenities do not revamp a used dirty ghetto room...Let alone the parking should be assigned at least one appt per room yet you would have to park your luxury vehicle away in a spot that is considered "unassigned parking" beware this place looks and seems nice but is far from it and the manager Mike is a liar also greedy and selfish.... read more

We absolutely loved this place. The room was spotless and had zero musty smells (very difficult to maintain so close to the water). The shower was flippin' amazing - beautiful and great water pressure. Lots of storage space. Staff was exemplary, both the front desk folks and the woman who cleaned our room. Fajitaville across the parking lot had great food and atmosphere. You're just a spit away from the USS Lexington and Aquarium. The reviews for this place i feel come from high end people who expect a valet when you pull up. This is beach, where we are here to get sand everywhere so i am very happy with my stay here. We had a very comfy bed, a nice view of the beach and the bridge ! Check in was very very fast and easy. We walked along the beach and to the aquarium (they sell discounted tickets at front desk to USS Lexington and Tx State Aquarium) When checking out the owner was there and he greeted us, apologized for the carpet cleaners being there but honestly i am glad to see that he takes care of the carpets! Absolutely love this hotel! We came in last minute and were accommodated very well. The young woman working the front counter is amazing she was so sweet and welcoming. Although I knew of a cheaper hotel option to stay at down the road, I picked this hotel solely based on her welcoming attitude and kindness. I came in at 2:15pm on Saturday 6/22 for reference on which employee this was. The hotel itself may not be an eye catcher from the outside but the room is absolutely BEAUTIFUL inside!! Although I do agree with other reviewers the AC is a little outdated and doesn't cool the room well. That would be my only complaint. read more

We made a reservation based on reviews and overall it was a nice hotel. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room looked very appealing to the eye. They even had a wonderful complimentary toiletries that promoted relaxation, greatly appreciated. However there were a few issues that I have listed below. If a few minor changes were made it would be perfect other than the no elevator situation. No elevator, no shower liner, no lid on toilet, has refrigerator, nice complimentary toiletries, no plugs by the bed for phones, pads etc, pillows were not impressive, they supplimented with house pillows for a couch, bathroom door does not.promote privacy it's a sliding barn door, curtains have decorative holes at the top where the light comes thru, the lights next to the bed are on the wrong side and too high so they can't be turned off from bed. read more

This hotel does not have elevators, and carrying luggage up the stairs was difficult. The ac unit is a window unit, and did not work very well. When we turned the ac on, black dirt came out of the ac unit and onto the bed. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. The staff at the front desk was also friendly and speedy to check guest in and out. The hotel is right on the beach, and parking was good. read more

Worst customer service I have ever experienced when it comes to a hotel. The employees don't even come and fix the bed nor do they take out the trash like one would expect from a hotel. The three nights my family and I spent there only one of those were we given new towels. The place cleanliness isn't the best. They lied about my husband and his service dog saying the dog destroyed the room an they had to do a deep cleaning an charged us an extra 250 a week later and didn't tell us. The beds were like new and everything was comfortable. Lights dimmed and romantic for a couple! Also good for family. Service was exceptional and the location was amazing. Worth the payment and definitely will return. The manager was great and so was the receptionist. The business across called "Fajitaville" serves great food and it's only a walk away. Not to mention the bar is conveniently close to this hotel as well and you can overlook the shore. Bar service is great, too. My husband and I stayed here one night in April 2017. We are really glad we did. The outside of the hotel does look older, but the red, blue and yellow paint give it a cheery feel. The parking was easy. The room was clean and smelled good, not musty like some beach hotels. The room was a bit dark as the bulbs in the lamps were not very bright. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. It was fun to ride the Ferris wheel. We were in walking distance to the beach, USS Lexington, and the aquarium (however the walk may be too far for some people). The restaurant was ok, you could hear the base of the music at night for a while but it wasn't too bad. The beach is clean. The only place nearby for breakfast was the radisson hotel's restaurant. Stayed in the 2 queen bed room, it was very clean (no dust or mold), very modern and clean look, the bathroom was sooo nice and modern and clean, walk in shower with hot water and good water pressure, also had bath & body works shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and soap. Where to even start. I researched properties before finding this property on Booking.com. I read reviews, and that paired with internet photos I choose it. That was my first mistake. The site was misleading. It shows a ferris wheel that isn't actually on the property and doesn't even run. There is no pool. There are no washer and dryer. There isn't even an elevator. The stirs are very poorly planned out. It says it's on the beach and isn't but is within walking distance. The staff wasn't friendly. My room wasn't ready when I checked I. And went to it so I had to walk the three flights of stairs again. My room was on the wrong side of the hotel than I reserved. Not that it would have mattered because the views are also misleading. I was told I would have to call the website myself to change rooms even though they had already previously done so. It was hotter than the devils balls in our room. There was no remote. They won't answer the front desk phone and CLOSE AND LOCK THE LOBBY AT DARK so you're screwed on help there. No breakfast. I absolutely couldn't find a saving grace on this hotel. I tried. I really did. Only giving one star because I have to. Hate to be negative but BEWARE HOTEL HELL. read more

My husband checked us in while I was on the beach. He told me that the first room was dirty and had a piece of shit in the toilet. They switched the rooms. We went to the room and was hoping for the best. The room was first looked outdated and had a strange smell. As I was about to take a shower the walls were dirty. There was sand in the shower before I was in there. After all of that the bed was nice until I was about to go to bed I see sand in the sheets. Mind you I haven't been in the bed nor touched it. The later it gets in the night you can see people walking around the floor outside drinking and yelling so loud you can hear it from inside the room. The curtains are so thin almost like a sheet but with holes yes I said holes. One looked like a burn mark and I don't smoke. The moment my husband woke up I packed my stuff and got out. There is no pool, nor picnic area. The picnic area is a table by the parking lot. If you wanted wifi it's barely works way worst than dial up. Honestly I would never recommend this place to anyone. I had been wanting to always stay here because it has a rustic beachy vibe to it, so finally had time to do it! At check in, the gentleman was short and unfriendly-like. First walk into the room and you can tell it used to be a smoking hotel that has received some fresh paint and new carpeting. Bed frame, desk and closet had a nice rustic beachy feel to it and was very nice looking. Mattress absolutely was shit for someone who has severe back injuries, I spent my night tossing, turning and crying in pain. The AC window unit must have not been replaced with the remodel because it didn't work for anything. My son, fiancé and I sweated all night. Sucks they don't offer breakfast and since we'd slept for shit due to the crappy conditions of the room, we accidentally got a late start. I called down to the front to kindly ask if we could check out THIRTY MINUTES late and I received the rude response of 'we aren't doing any late check outs today!' So we continued to rush around trying to get ready. At 11:15, FIFTEEN MINUTES after check out, we received a call to the room where the woman rudely said 'I am going to have to charge y'all $100 since you aren't out of the room at 11' REALLY?!?? That ghetto ass hotel with some fresh paint and CHEAP ASS upgrades is NOT WORTH IT!!!!! I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy!!! NEVER EVER EVERRRRR AGAIN! There are at least every other hotel in Corpus that has to be better than this glorified trap hotel! read more

Asthma sufferers, this review is for you. I highly recommend this hotel. Yes, it's true that there is no elevator but there is one thing that is even more important than that...this hotel is MOLD FREE. I only found two hotels/motels in all of the Corpus area that received mold-free reviews and this was one. If you have asthma as badly as I do, you will appreciate that! Also for asthma sufferers, please note that the air is perfumed in the rooms due to the bed linens being washed in scented laundry soap. So bring your own sheets if you are that sensitive (I brought my sheets washed in my special detergent...I am that sensitive!) and call ahead to ask the hotel to turn on the ionizer before you arrive. They will do it for you. They are very nice and used to dealing with people like us. The beds were comfortable; the shower was roomy; and the room was spotless. I will go back to this hotel next time I'm in Corpus for sure. read more
