Beautiful 1 bedroom apartment with great views of Mt. Hood. Very clean and well kept location.

Mt Hood View from Living Room at Iconica

We felt like we'd found a secret treasure - this new apartment has the most breathtaking view of Mt. Hood. Beyond that it's perfectly and fashionably designed and outfitted with all the modern amenities you'll need for a comfortable, stress-free stay. Complimentary parking under the building was a plus. Hosts are extremely helpful with quick and thorough communication. Highly recommend. Did I mention the view?!?! Just book it!

    Enough space for yoga.

Absolutely loved my stay here. Super easy to book. They texted me all the info. Room 6 has an epic view . So many good experiences to be had. I loved waking up to it each morning to see Mt. hood . The yoga studio is next door. I took a sunrise morning class with shana. She is fantastic if you want to take class. For lunch I recommend, Everybody's brewing. I got the vegan nachos, and sweet potato burrito. This town is so cute. I'd come back in a heartbeat and stay here again.

Stayed here in early July for two nights. The place is beautiful, we had an amazing view of Mt Hood from our room which was well appointed and modern. There is a wine bar downstairs and they had live music. will definitely stay here when I return to the area!

We found it practically perfect - quiet, had exactly everything we needed, and it offers expansive views of Mt.

I will say the service and amenities offered seem to be gradually declining, and it is getting busier to the point of feeling crowded and stressful to be at. The hotel used to provide coffee service. They took that away...so now, if you stay in the bunk rooms or the schoolhouse rooms, there's usually a crowd trying to make their own coffee in the morning, and only one hot water kettle (I believe there used to be two). They also seemed to have removed the toaster oven, and the staff were confused and were not able to help with locating one to use. Also no general dishes to use so you should bring your own if you want to eat anything of your own and avoid paying top dollar at the in house cafe. These are small things, but I believe for the price some more basic amenities should be offered. It would make the stay overall more pleasant and convenient, and feel like more of a hotel than a chaotic hostel. I will also note that a large group was staying in the bunk rooms during our stay and they were quite loud (and inebriated) and spreading their stuff into every corner (they had multiple coolers and even camping chairs set up in the common area of the bunk rooms). Obviously the staff can only do so much about this, but it does impact the value to have a big group partying, being loud, and generally not conscientious of the space they are using. My TLDR would be to avoid this place on weekends completely, unless you have the funds to stay in one of the cabin rooms which are more private.

Would have loved to have tea! Maybe on the next booking. Everything is clean. Their shampoo and body wash smell like luxury and not to mention their heated bathroom floors. The Retreat's massive original beams are truly something to behold. Finishes are stunning, yet have an old-world vibe, reminiscent of a European stone inn, but with high-end, classy finishes and elite appliances. We have fond memories of this space when it was formerly a quaint micro brewery; now we're staying in the converted brew works that is ideally located in the heart of Hood River. If you're not familiar with this town, you will be equally blown away by the sensational geology and twin volcanos separated by the Gorge itself. The owners are deserving of world-class design and construction awards and for this phenomenal lodge. Combined with their concierge level of service, Horsefeathers is a true gem.

The…read morewebsite talks about a breakfast, but it's really just some danish and "whole fruit" like apples. Etc. Fortunately they provided an in room coffee maker and coffee with filters. The room (The Gorge Room) was ok, and had a Murphy bed (as advertised), but it sure felt like a full not a queen size. Very small. Also, again as advertised, the bathroom for this room is down the hall. This wasn't a problem and we expected it (again, as advertised). However, upon getting into the shower, both the diverter handle and water pressure/temp handle came right off! Fortunately, I was able to get both back into the slots internally and take showers, but that should definitely be fixed/replaced. Overall this is a very old property with lots of charming design and decor. Just be aware that this may come with challenges, and older reviews make it sound better than it is. It certainly isn't living up to its older reputation. It is also largely an unstaffed property. I did see a lady working in back and spoke to her briefly, but other than that, no one.

I overheard other guests saying that breakfast was no longer provided, even though it is advertised as a b&b. This didn't affect me personally, but I did find that to be misleading. There were signs saying that beer and wine were available if the innkeeper was in, but we were around most of the evening and didn't see any offerings. Additionally, the hot tub was closed. Check-in was relatively easy, the room was as presented. The porch was nice to relax on. Not a bad stay, just feel that it could have been more personalized and up to the description.
