Lunch was delicious! Amazing caprese salad and lemon pasta. Also had the anchovies stuffed with mozzarella and fried with lemon mayonnaise. Staff was attentive and drinks were delicious. Staff at the beach club restaurant was much friendlier than the front desk.

We are obsessed with Hotel Santa Caterina. Already making 10 year plans to come back (hopefully sooner!) Pros: - beautiful views everywhere - access to sea - excellent service from all staff - beach chairs, towels, and umbrellas readily available. - floors are painted so beautifully - restaurants are delicious, and often have live music - breakfast spread is very large and had a wide range from healthy fruits to decadent cakes - outdoor elevator to the pool and sea is wonderful!! Saves you a few steps! - truffles and strawberries upon arrival - bring snacks throughout the day when you're at the beach club, and cool, wet towels to beat the heat! Cons: - incredibly expensive. For example, a simple Margherita Pizza is over 20 euro. Also, a pina colada from the beach bar was 23 euro. - deserves some small renovations to modernize the place

You'll have many choices in Amalfi but it would be impossible to do better than Hotel Santa Caterina. White glove service, a superb blend of historic architecture and modern amenities combined with stunning vistas and a Michelin, four-star Chef, make this hotel among the best in all of Italy. We chose a cliff side suite with a garden and it was amazing. Proper heating and a/c, lovely interior furnishings, superb bedding, and lots of windows. Stunning views from every corner of the room! The staff here is absolutely top notch, from the Concierge to the housekeeping and maintenance staff - every staffer greets you with a big smile and best wishes for the day. The restaurant staff was among the best we've encountered anywhere in the world. As for the views, you'd be hard pressed to find better. The resort is at just the right height above the water and just the right distance from the center of Amalfi, making it convenient and quiet while still providing majestic views.

a dip in the heated saltwater pool then a dive into the sea? what could be better!

We just spent our honeymoon at Santa Caterina and loved every moment! The Santa Caterina is aesthetically stunning with a vintage vibe that'll make you forget what year it is. The staff is, too amazing? They are at your beck and call and will do anything to make sure you're comfortable. They are also super quick! We had our room cleaned twice a day and felt welcome in every part of the hotel. We ate at the bistro twice and loved the service and food. We loved trying all the wines and jumping into the ocean, which is a special feature of this hotel (I almost want to say "resort"). And if you'd like to go into Amalfi, they have a shuttle that will get you there in what feels like 30 seconds! I will say, I think we were the youngest people there (mid-twenties), but it was exactly what we wanted for our honeymoon. It was quiet, sophisticated, gorgeous, and romantic. I feel like we hacked Amalfi by finding this incredible gem. Thank you, Santa Caterina!

When visiting to the Amalfi Coast you must stay at Santa Catarina. The location the service the food, all 5 star. Not to mention the pool, between the heated saltwater pool at the edge of the Med you make your decision where you want to swim. The staff makes you feel at home from the time you walk in until the time you leave. Highly recommend it.

Absolutely wonderful hotel along the Amalfi coast. Top notch service, staff, ambiance and accommodations!! The restaurant is awesome as are the pool, the gardens and the views!! The location is perfect!! We thoroughly enjoyed are stay!!!

Very exclusive hotel. This hotel is an award winning hotel and has made some of the worlds best hotel lists. The Clintons frequent this hotel amongst other celebrities. Small and private. Top of the line and probably one of the best you can do in A. coast. That's why my fiancé and I decided to stay here while in the Amalfi of Italy. Santa C. hotel also helped with the planning of me and my fiancé's engagement. According to him, they were very helpful and made everything go very smoothly. So A+ to their concierge. Upon arrival, after a long trip to the Amalfi coast, we were greeted by our names as the staff was expecting us. Then we got a tour of the hotel (absolutely romantic and stunning) and then taken to our room. We stayed in their most expensive room for 4 nights, so needless to say, the view and service and amenities were unbeatable. Did I mention the view? I mean, it was heavenly. The room itself was clean and charming. They also left me a HUGE flower setting, as well as decorated the bed with rose petals which read, "welcome to Italy". (Check our pics). Later I found out that my my fiancé's request for them to do that for me. Nonetheless, they catered to his needs and met our expectations. The reason why I gave this hotel a 4 stars is because while this hotel is stunning, for how pricey it is per night (I think we paid upwards of 3.5k per night) the first night, there was a party going on past 12 am and it got in the way of us resting after a long travel and jet lag. A good nights rest is the least of my expectations at any hotel, let alone this one. Regardless, The location is also the best in the Amalfi coast as it is very centralized. It is walking distance to a lot without the noise and crowed. The staff who are also fantastic and all so sweet made sure we had car service wherever we needed to go, if there was a need for a transportation. The best part for me (aside from the view) was the restaurant where we ate our breakfast every morning. WHAT A BREAKFAST! Omg! Facing the Tyrrhenian Sea, with a selection of some of the freshest foods I've ever had, you can't go wrong. They had the best cheese selections, the best veggies, best pastas, fresh juices, seafood, the best espresso, and olive selection. They even had gluten-free prepared for me every morning before my arrival!!!!! (sigh). We took the coolest elevator down to the pool. The view down is stunning! The pool is also really beautiful. I love that you can jump in the ocean, as well as enjoy the pool. I heard they don't always let you do this, but they told me and my fiancé that we could whatever we wanted. Lol We didn't end up doing that, but my fiancé and I did use the port to dock our boat before we took it out. That's actually how we got engaged...at sea! The hotel also helped my fiancé accommodate a violin playing and a photographer! Just wow! The other really cute touch is the large outside (patio) area they have. They often hold wedding and parties there which makes it lively and fun! (Unless you're trying to sleep lol) Really a great venue. Generally speaking, I had the best time here. I am from the states, so I am used to customer service that is above and beyond. Going to another country, you always have to reset your expectations as the customs are different. With that said, while my experience here was unlike any other, I wouldn't come back here again ONLY because there are a couple other hotels on the the worlds best list ( and on my list) I will be trying out the next time I visit Italy Go here if you can afford it. You won't be disappointed. This is the only way to do Amalfi Coast!

One of the best hotels we've stayed at. Would highly recommend. Service is incredible. Restaurant is incredible. Concierge goes above and beyond including helping us sort a yacht rental that picks up onsite adjacent to the pool. Loved it. We shall return.

We stayed at Santa Caterina for my husbands 50th and the hotel, food & service far exceeded our expectations. We have traveled to many countries and fine hotels but the service here was truly exemplary. The Concierge Gennaro Apicella went out of his way to not only meet but anticipate our needs. Every staff member from waiters, to housekeeping and shuttle drivers went above and beyond and seemed to love the hotel as much as we did. We would go back in an instant...highly recommended!

The hotel is located on the mountain high above the town of Amalfi. The views are spectacular. Each room has a balcony overlooking the sea, and waking up to this view every morning was delightful and relaxing. The room where we stayed was room 502 which has been recently renovated. The room was the perfect size for 2 of us, and included a bed, fridge, safe, mural, dresser, tea/coffee pot, bathroom with rain shower and a hand held shower, tub, toilet and bidet. There is a mini bar which we did not use except for bottled water (cost of 2 Euro). I know we had housekeepers, as our room was restocked and serviced beautifully daily, but the housekeepers were like ninjas. They were in and out but we never saw them. The front desk staff and bar/restaurant staff were so nice and friendly and humored us as we tried to speak a little bit of Italian. Each day included a delicious breakfast buffet and made to order eggs, pancakes, and coffees/tea/juices. We had a tablet placed in our room to order room service and communicate our needs to the staff. Included in the room is a very handy shuttle that runs throughout the day to take guests to Amalfi. Some local restaurants will send a driver to pick up and drop off guests who are dining with them. If you want to experience Amalfi without the noise and hustle and bustle then this hotel is a perfect fit!
