The building itself has been beautifully renovated, blending its historic charm with a chic, modern touch. With multiple bars, lounges, and a restaurant, the property offers plenty of spaces to gather. Because of the size of our group, we were seated in the garden--a pleasant spot, though not our first choice. Normally, I would not think to review a hotel after nothing more than a single beer in its garden. However, the professionalism and competence of the staff compelled me to share my experience. The restaurant hostesses were warm and informative, and the bartender at the Paradise Lounge truly stood out--she was exceptionally skilled, friendly, and efficient, delivering top-notch service with ease. What a beautiful hotel. We spent 5 hours at the pool on a sunny Saturday. We got lunch out there. Both the redfish sandwich and club were great. The truffle fries are some of the best fries I've ever had. We also had quite a few drinks from the pool bar. The bartenders were quick and remembered what we drank, why we were in town, etc. even after a brief conversation. The bed was huge and soft. The bathroom was very nice. Good water pressure and heat in the shower. The AC got absolutely frigid and they have ceiling fans too. There were so many little touches that made the stay nice. During the day they brought out cold towels in rose water to the pool, then popsicles. The courtyard is so private. It didn't feel like we were right on magazine street. This is a luxury experience. We were recommended HSV from a friend and we were extremely happy we went with it for our stay in the Garden District. What you get at HSV is a cool and comfy boutique hotel that has plenty of bar space, lounges, and good food to keep you content. Of course, we loved staying in a place that has some age to it and all the unique decor and atmosphere that comes with that. We opted for a sister studio that was just above the courtyard and we loved our room. Amazingly comfortable beds and the unique touch that you see in each room really sets this place apart and of course that is what you expect from a boutique hotel. HSV is also conveniently located on Magazine street, which puts you in walking distance to plenty of great restaurants and shops. In fact, you do not need a car unless you want to explore the French Quarter or other parts of the city and with that, an Uber or Lyft will do, and its usually a 7 minute ride to the French Quarter and 20 minutes from the airport. Our New Orleans trip was such a great time and HSV was a big part of that. The comfy, unique rooms and architecture, the cozy bars, and great food ensure that we will be back to stay here again on our next New Orleans trip. read more

Easily 4 to 5 star on staff, F&B but honestly for $600/nt this needs to be so much more on the deep service side. Wednesday to Friday stay before moving into the Qtr...Chappel club either closed or no bartender on Wednesday night on published open times...honestly for $20/hr there were enough guesses there at 10pm that should have easily paid wages but at this rate it's not my job to figure out your wage situation versus your published amenities. Food amazing at St Lorenzo...service kind and talkative but lax.. slow in every way. Overall 5 star price for 3+ star experience...Cheers to Elizabeth Cafe and Holden who both delivered bar service, food service and quality all around!! Rain leaks in original room and corridor. Moved to a much smaller room with two queen's instead one king. Had to put suitcases on one bed because of limited space. Initially front desk ignored plea for new location Until manager got involve. Told we had to change rooms again on our last night because another customer was reserving the two queen's room. Loved this hotel!!! Since this was a foodie trip and not a party trip, I decided to stay in the Garden District and so glad that I did. This place was a complete vibe. A stunning space with amazing staff ... everyone and I do mean everyone made me feel welcome and took excellent care of me, even me some Nashvillians while there. Didn't checkout much of the outdoor spaces as it was a bit cooler and wet during my visit but the pool area looked like it would be great in the warmer months. My favorite thing about this hotel, besides the people, were the 2 bars which had a play on 'naughty and nice' going. One bar was moody, with deep woods and dark colors. While the other was bright with an open, airy feel. With them being situated on opposite sides of the hotel, it was kind of like they were making you choose which side you were on. Room was clean. I didn't get to try the French-Asian fusion spot that is on the premises but San Lorenzo(Onsite Italian Cajun Restaurant) was delicious. Definitely going back and making this hotel my launching pad again. read more

We had such a wonderful stay at the Hotel St. Vincent. We had been wanting to check it out for some time, and we are so glad we did! Just walking up the stately stone steps to the entryway/wrought iron-laced porch of this historic building was a treat! The gentleman at reception who brought our bags to our room (I'm so sorry we didn't get his name) was quietly efficient. Sarah Drake, their Chief Concierge, ensured we had a great stay on our special occasion. In addition to Sarah's curated restaurant and entertainment recommendations, she is happy to share noteworthy tidbits about the building and her insider knowledge of NOLA and its traditions. Her communication before and during our stay was terrific and really enhanced our experience. The property is gorgeous, and the thoughtful design touches (the key cards mirror the funky in-room wallpaper no less!) abound. Our room was a suite, and it was a knock-out, a gorgeous tiled bathroom, soaking tub, and sitting area, even a porch. With the proximity of Magazine Street shops, restaurants, and shopping, two days were really not enough to experience the area AND slow down to soak in the hotel's unique spaces (San Lorenzo- we had two excellent experiences/dinners here, the two (beautiful) bars, the pool, and the bakery/restaurant and gift shop- even the reception area is lovely!). They have velvet couches mixed with chairs that give it a cozy and romantic feel. We started with some drinks the st Vincent spritz and the brualo Negroni. They also gave us this awesome assortment of bread and butter. We decided to get some raw oysters to start and the ones chase recommended from Washington were by far our favorites! For our entrees I got the lobster bucatini and my Husband got the shrimp scampi risotto! The dishes were good but def could have used a little salt. For dessert we got the olive oil cake and they even put a candle on it for my husbands birthday. The cake was very moist and perfectly sweet and a little savory. All in all a great dinner! read more

Stayed here for a business trip and I couldn't be happier with my coworker who booked our stay here. The place is beautiful and the food at the San Lorenzo restaurant in the hotel is amazing. I had the Wagyu burger for lunch which may have saved my life after a long overnight flight. I also was talked into the shrimp & polenta for breakfast which was incredible. However, the main highlight for me was the service. It was probably the best service I've ever experienced at a hotel. Alyx at the restaurant was super helpful keeping my coffee filled and patiently explaining all the local dishes to an out of towner. Jo Jo was super friendly at the bar/cafe and always greeted me very warmly. John at the front desk personally ensured my room would be ready as early as 6am (those red eye flights are brutal). And finally, "little" Mike was always so friendly and polite. After helping with our bags on the first day, he remembered my name and said hello everytime I saw him. While holding a business meeting in the bar/cafe, I awkwardly didn't have enough chairs and had someone standing. Mike happened to be walking by and said "Oh I'll find you a chair alright" and then saved the day. I really had a wonderful experience and intend to stay again. read more

Lovely place, very trendy. Interesting rooms. The bedroom was flat gray. The bathroom was bright, typical of New Orleans with wall paper that looks like the inside cocer of an antique leather book. Staff was attentive. Nice pool, gift shop and dining areas. Wonderful food! Loved the tiny floor tile in the bath- it's like a little foot massage. Nice, thick, big towels. Complimentary robes to go to the pool. Three issues- there is no way to block out the light, so if you don't have a mask on, the sun wakes you up at 6:00 am. Second- Poor lighting in the room. Third - there is nowhere to put your clothes. Half a dozen hangers and a bench. The bench has two drawers- one filled by a safe and the other filled with a hair dryer. read more
