We spent the weekend here for a wedding. The location was near local eateries and shops. Everything is within 10 minutes. The parking lot has limited spaces, so if you are traveling with multiple vehicles or guests, you may have trouble with parking. The staff were great! Very friendly and helpful! They also have breakfast every morning, which includes eggs, cereal, pastries, and coffee. The room itself is spacious with a large refrigerator/freezer. The layout of the bathroom was a little strange with where the bathroom door was vs where the shower door was. We kept slamming them into each other. You also had to get into the shower to turn it on since the glass door was farther away from the faucet. The cleanliness of the room was less than desirable. There were fake eyelashes stuck on the bathroom wall from a previous guest. The bathroom wallpaper was peeling, there was rust in the shower and calcium build up in the shower head. The soap rack ended up falling off in the middle of trying to put a travel-sized bar of soap on it. There was debris in the corner of the rooms that was missed upon cleaning. It seems that this is an ongoing issue based on previous reviews. If they were able to clean the rooms thoroughly, this would be an excellent place to stay. read more

This was my first visit to St Simons Island and my wife and I spent five nights at Hotel Simone. The hotel is a boutique hotel with a cool vibe and interesting decor. It is supposedly only three years old. The staff deserves a five star rating--especially Lenny and Bambi. The two of them were super and I enjoyed several conversations with them. They really embody hospitality. Bambi definitely prepares a wonderful breakfast spread. Unfortunately, I can not give the hotel a five star rating due to issues with the facility. Our first suite's bedroom was noisy with some type of equipment behind the headboard wall. It was not constant which made it worse. The first two nights we barely slept a wink. Our other concern was with the condition of the rooms. In the bathroom, the wall paper was peeling and there was mold around the baseboards and door trim. It was obvious that the cleaning staff were not very thorough. There were filthy baseboards and the tops of tall things and behind furniture was nasty. When we complained about the noise, the staff did move us to a different room. The new room's HVAC system was quite noisy but not as obnoxious as the first room's noise issues. There we slept much better but the cleanliness left something to be desired. Again the wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling. Additionally, the toilet paper holder was broken and the bathroom fan did not operate. The last item that knocks down my rating is the bed sheets. In a boutique hotel catering to couples, I would expect high quality sheets. These were definitely not. My Knees and elbows are proof that the sheets were crap. To sum up the front staff are awesome. The maintenance, cleaning and bedding quality all need improvement. Again, I would love to give the hotel more stars but the facilities missed the mark. read more

Great customer service in a good location, near village and beach. Beach chairs and bikes gratis but realize you will pay $25 a day resort fee for the amenities (never told this into check out). Large room and loads of towels. Breakfast is a failure...hot food poor quality...we brought our own food as in suite refrigerator provided. Overpriced room though...we will stay elsewhere in future (with taxes and fees almost $350 a night...ouch).' read more

Just left and won't be back. Goodness, if this is a luxury hotel in St. Simons, I'd be scared to stay in anything else. It ain't nuthin' special. It has a good location but to pay 5 roses for 2 days, I think they should offer more. I guess the extra amenity fee for wifi, parking and a paltry breakfast put me over the edge. Room is nice, bed is exceptional, shower is awkward, thermostat is bizarre and hard to change. Breakfast is sort of a Days Inn/Red Roof offering with a few additions. Free use of the bicycles....yahoo! Seriously, try something else! read more

What a great boutique hotel close to the. Each and Crabdaddys! Perfect spot. Great service and front desk staff is so friendly. Beautiful decor and very fresh & clean. The rooms are so. COVID Restrictions in Place Great boutique hotel - excellent staff who go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Harold took us to the beach where we could have stayed so much longer if the restaurants weren't closing early. We also enjoyed our time at the roof-top pool. The distressed furniture sort of matches some of the poorly fixed walls here. In one place someone painted the white baseboard and got paint on the wood flooring and didn't clean it up. The heating system in the room was very noisy and took a long time to heat the room on this cold December night. There was a small balcony overlooking the Main Street into town which was full of leaves and debris that should have been cleaned before our arrival. The room was dark and gloomy and not the fun Georgia hotel we thought it would be. No water view, at least from our room. We wished there would have been some extra blankets as well while we waited for the heating system to clunk and bang it's way to a warmer setting. On the good side the room was spacious and the free continental breakfast was good. On the way out a woman was leak checking the gas pipes in the parking structure with a lit cigarette! If a gas leak was bad enough to move her smoke she would have blown the place up with a lit cigarette. There are safer ways to do this but why bother? Is this a thing in Georgia? This hotel is not a five star place in our opinion. In its high price range it should be in better condition than it was. read more

This place is brand new and beautiful. You can walk to the beach ( it's not beachfront). The rooms are in a boutique fashion but very comfortable. They are very large. The staff couldn't be any nicer or helpful. It's a must if you're visiting St. Simone. read more

We stayed the night of our low key courthouse wedding (thanks, COVID) to make the day a little more special! (We even came home from dinner to a bottle of champagne and balloons waiting for us. So thoughtful!) We waited a moment in the lobby before being greeted with a smiling face! I hate I don't remember her name, but she was kind and explained all of the restrictions (thankfully there aren't many all things considered) and presented our welcome packet with a list of local eats as well as hotel information. The hotel itself is very cute! Very clean. Very modern, beachy bo ho vibes, but they keep it mostly gender neutral for the guys. Although, I'd totally come back for a fun girls trip! The room was super spacious and felt more like a small apartment, not a hotel! We loved that the room with the bed had a door, so if you did share a room and someone wanted to use the couch there is privacy! They also had super comfy robes, a take home laundry bag that we used for swim suits, plastic glass and table ware, a nespresso machine, a fridge, sink, and hot teas! The pool was very well maintained and because it's on the 3rd floor roof top the noise of cars is a minimum and you have a pretty view of the trees. There are also plenty of tables and chairs and tvs on the patio in shade! Honestly, we only live 45 minutes up the road but both agreed we would love to come back for a mini getaway and take advantage of the shuttle to the beach as well as the pool! 10/10 recommend staying at this beautiful, clean, and friendly boutique hotel. Not only were the staff very accommodating, the hotel itself was very tastefully decorated, colorful and unique. We enjoyed getting recommendations from Vonquez and golf cart rides/beach set-up from Daniel and Harold. All of the staff members were very professional and a texting service was used to to arrange drop-off/pick-up from nearby restaurants. We enjoyed getting to check out bikes and riding to get coffee and brunch. If any of our arranged rides were slightly delayed, the staff was quick to bring a complementary beverage while we were waiting. I cannot recommend Hotel Simone enough and highly suggest staying there if you want a very convenient location to a local market, brewery, and restaurants as well as very accommodating and kind staff, thank you again for spoiling us on our getaway to St. Simons Island! read more
