Beautiful, boutique hotel, only 3 years old, with a total of nine rooms. It's situated on the north side of the valley on the hillside with views across the entire valley. Priscilla was our hostess and was an absolute joy to work with. She really made our stay that much more memorable. Upon check in, we were provided with a complimentary half bottle of Montefiori red wine and told that we'll receive 20% off wine tastings and all purchases at the winery, and a continental style breakfast on Sat/Sun served in the lobby. There's a dirt road (in good condition) which leads off the main road, back past the Villa Montefiori winery, about ¾ mile back to the hotel.
TIP: Priscilla mentioned that you can rent out the entire hotel for two nights for $5,000 (that's $277/room night avg.), not too bad considering that several rooms are suites, including 2-bedroom suites.
ROOMS: Large, clean rooms with modern appointments but can vary depending on room layout. Our Double Queen room ($167/night) didn't have a TV or mini fridge, but the Jr. Suite did, and for only a few dollars more per night. Bathrooms were spacious, super clean, and stocked with all the products you need.
This was our first stay here but won't be our last. We've already told all our friends who visit Valle de Guadalupe that they should check this place out...and I recommend you do as well.
EXTRA TIP: Ask if you can visit the wine cave under the hotel. Priscilla gave us a short tour and it was pretty interesting (see pics). read more
