Result of walking on the floor for a few minutes.

Where is the option for 0 stars?! This place is terrible. This is the place that when you check in you know to start looking for bed bugs. And I guess you get what you pay for. The bathroom floor is the nicest thing in here. There are stains on the shower curtain, in the tub, on the entrance door. The furniture needs to be upgraded. The carpet is FILTHY. My husband barely put his socks on and walked to put his shoes on and his socks were FILTHY. And we couldn't even get housekeeping. Smh. Don't let me start in the "breakfast". You walk in and they ask your room number and then ration out the small kids juice per person, 1 fruit per person and you choose muffin or fake waffle. TERRIBLE.

Homeless man sleeping in the hallway of hotel
Daisy R.

We checked into our room on the second floor, and while the room was okay, it smelled strongly of cigarette. An hour into being in our room we went out into the hallway and there was a homeless man sleeping a few feet away on the ground. We called the front to report it and got a "we"ll check it out". While waiting to see if they would come, ANOTHER homeless person walked in through the emergency exit that was right in front of our door walked back and forth a few times and left through the same exit. We waited for about 30 minutes for someone to come get the homeless guy but no one ever came. We didn't want to pass the homeless guy on the ground so we went out the same exit the other homeless guy had gone out and saw that the key lock on the outside was completely broken off, allowing anyone from outside to come in. We informed the guy at the front again about the homeless guy and the that the lock was broken off and he said "I have to put in a request for maintenance and wait" , seemingly not caring at all. The only nice staff was the cleaning staff.

Remote didn't work.

Very fair price. The hotel is old, but clean. Very pleasant staff and there's a very basic restaurant in the parking lot that has wonderful margaritas. Unfortunately, the remote in my room did not work, so I watched my IPad, which I would have done anyway and the thermostat did not work, so I was hot all night! They have a free breakfast in the morning which included prepackaged bagel, breakfast sandwiches, fruit, cereal, juice and coffee. There's also a sink in the room, if that's something you like.

This isn't the worst hotel I've ever stayed in... but you can definitely do better. I was in for a very quick business trip to Mo Valley. I found this place on Priceline for about $70 and I was swayed by the "Wyndham" affiliation and the free breakfast. You should not be like me. This is in the not-great section of town. They have lots of policies about deposits and not accepting cash and all of these signs at the front desk are red flags. More red flags - as I walked to my room, it became clear that a business is operating out of several hotel rooms on the second floor. They even have "Welcome" signs on the door. I'm guessing they're some sort of MLM/door-to-door sales-type operations? But it's weird that they're just working right there in the hall of the hotel. The room is OK. It's nothing fancy. The furniture seems to not go together and there is a lot of it but the room is functional. While not fancy, everything seemed clean and the WiFi was decent and free. The "breakfast" in the morning is an odd set up where you walk up to a table and can take a yogurt or granola bar. No coffee. Although there is an entire area dedicated to coffee in the lobby with signage. But still, not coffee anywhere. So that's also weird. This actually COULD be a decent place. There is an interesting sitting area up the winding staircase (there is also an elevator) and they could offer coffee and flavored waters and even a real breakfast. But right now, it's walking the line between advertising as a nicer place while operating as a slightly sketchy motel/SRO.

The girl at the front desk was super nice and friendly and checked us in very quickly. She offered us water and snacks. The room was very nice too. We had a queen bed with a tv in the room, coffee machine and fridge. No smell or anything in the room. Here were the problems however. The bed was lumpy along with the pillows. I woke up the following morning with back pain. They had told us breakfast was included so we went downstairs and again were disappointed. There were scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, cereal and fruit. Juice and coffee as well. The only good thing was probably the coffee. The eggs tasted like they were out of a carton and watered down. So my advice would be skip the breakfast and go somewhere else, which we later did.

What made it worse wasn't just the inconvenience, but the response from staff. When I brought it up, there was no urgency, no apology, and no effort to provide a solution or alternative. For a hotel that caters to travelers who often rely on laundry during longer stays, this is a pretty basic amenity to neglect. Not to mention it's COIN OPERATED. Marriott has gone WAY down hill. Hilton would NEVER LOL. If you're planning to stay here for more than a night or two, don't count on being able to do laundry. Between the lack of functional equipment and the indifferent staff response, it's just not reliable.

My husband went to work and I stopped by the front desk to make sure there would be no interruption in my stay. I was told that they needed an additional $50 deposit per day. This wouldn't have been a problem if I had a credit card, I did not. I asked the front desk ladies (very friendly) if I could pay cash. They said no, and rules are rules. I thought of getting a prepaid visa card and they said that would work. Luckily my husband had a friend pick him up for work and left the key to the car. If that hadn't happened, I would have had to walk 6 miles round trip to the nearest store to get the prepaid visa to give the additional deposit. At one point I was warned that my key would stop working if I didn't give the deposit. This would have left my cat trapped in the room by herself, and me locked outside. Lol! Thank goodness it didn't come to that. Nef could have easily taken cash, or charged the additional deposit to either of the 2 credit cards used in the booking. His inflexability and crappy attitude were the only bad part about our stay. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable.

Between January and September 15, 2024, I stayed with my 9-year-old daughter and 13-year-old son with autism. I grew to call the Comfort Inn my home during this period, and all the staff and essential workers always treated me with respect, tolerance, and as a guest. This is my true review of my experience, where I will outline the pros and cons based on my personal experience and the observation of other patrons during this period. I stayed in the Suite King West and East Room, the Standard King, and the 2 Queen Standard room. All rooms were as described, with added extra bonuses not listed. The value for money is amazing, which is why this privately owned and operated Comfort Inn became my home away from home for over six months. The staff and experience will be ones for which I will forever be grateful. As an African American woman with two children, one with autism, I encountered discrimination at Best Western, which had zero tolerance for my son who has a disability. However, that was never an issue at Comfort Inn. The treatment I witnessed, not only towards me but other patrons, and the level of kindness and fair treatment in times of concern or how issues were addressed, were always professional and kind. I will go further into detail in a later review. The rooms were well-designed and efficient, with plenty of USB ports, reading lights, and ambiance lighting. The pull-out couch with a desk and modern leather chair was comfortable and efficient for remote work and lodging. There are so many gems which I will outline in a fuller review later. Some of the suites have outside patios and dual room A/C fans, cooling, and heating, all remote-controlled. Staff: Syed (GM): Friendly, hardworking, takes great pride in the cleanliness and quality of all the rooms, and how he addresses and runs the hotel. I am so blown away by the whole experience and will further go into the professional treatment that literally brings me to tears. Josh: Friendly guy. What a gem. Very efficient, always has a greeting smile, loving, professional, understanding, gentle, and reasonable person! I was always happy when I seen him seating there behind the desk. He approached everything with kindness. Marcela: Friendly, polite, understanding, caring, patient, efficient, and a pleasure to deal with. Manali AND Upama(Front Desk): These ladies are as efficient, professional, and accommodating as they come. They follow all the rules but are so lovely and sweet, hardworking women. I have so much to say that I can't fit it all in this review. Juan (Maintenance): I never spoke to him more than once or twice, but he, along with all the essential workers, were always on their job and such hardworking staff, just as kind as the front desk personnel. Premises: Pool: My children enjoyed the pool daily. I took great reassurance watching it being treated and cleaned daily. There were fresh towels located at the pool so that you did not have to bring them down to the pool. Amenities: They have soda machines on each floor where you can purchase drinks with cash, and a mini-market within the office that offers everything from laundry detergent and over-the-counter medications to phone chargers, snacks, and convenient food items. Location: The hotel is located next to many restaurants, grocery stores, nail shops, barbers, and offices, all within less than a 5-minute walk. Not to mention, the best pizza and fried chicken at Shakey's right across the parking lot. There are also donut shops, Thai, and Mexican restaurants nearby! The location is incredibly convenient. WiFi: The WiFi is strong, and I was able to work remotely. The property and other patrons were quiet and appeared to be working professionals like myself, couples, families, and essential workers. Breakfast: Breakfast includes fruit, waffles, bagels, eggs, sausage, yogurt, juice, and cereal, served daily from 6-9am, with music to enjoy. Do not hesitate to book with this hotel. It is by far the best value, quality, and overall experience compared to all the hotels around Moreno Valley/Riverside. I have stayed at other places but always ended up back at Comfort Inn because I was so happy to depend on their consistent quality, price, and reliable service when it came to my family's accommodation needs.
