Y'all, don't let the "gas station burger" look fool you. The restaurant is located in the same strip as the gas station tucked in the corner. As soon as you walk in you will notice the cool interior design. The staff was nice and greeted me as soon as I walked in. Everything was clean, neat and hip. Menu is very limited because they specialize in only burgers and fries. So don't go in there with the intention of ordering anything other than a burger. I got the hotline burger and my bf got the classic burger. The food came out relatively quick and fresh. The aroma of the fries already got me drooling as I was unwrapping my food. Picture doesn't do justice but the food is bomb!! Packed with flavor and pretty decent size too. I was stuff! This joint is rated pretty high up there on my burger list. I love that the venue is very clean including the restroom. You can tell they take care of this place. While everything was very good, the only teeny tiny thing I would change is for them to adjust the salt seasoning on the burger. It was just a tad too salty. I would definitely come back. Hotline Burger is one of my favorite burger places in all of Houston! You can put their smash burger up against any in the city. I've been here several times and each time the quality is consistently high. My fiancée and I always get a double smashed burger for each of us and an order of fries to share. Their burgers are smashed perfectly to where it has the crispy skirt, but somehow the patties are still juicy. The size is bigger than what is offered at other popular places and the price is cheaper too! It's a win-win all around. This place doesn't get enough exposure but I promise you Hotline Burger is worth the drive! They're opening a second location on Bellaire and Gessner, where the old Twistee Treat used to be, so hopefully that helps inform more people on their amazing burgers. read more

I was craving a burger since I've already been cheating on my diet this week so I came to Yelp and stumbled across Hotline Burger which was not very far from me( perfect!) the restaurant is located in a gas station shopping strip so might be hidden if you're not looking for it but I also realize I have seen this spot as I have driven by this area before. The inside is pretty small but there are tables and stools if you would like to dine in side. I came around 8:15 PM and it wasn't very busy so I was able to walk right up to the tablet and place my order. Or maybe took about 5 min for the order to come out so no crazy wait. I ordered the Hotline Burger with a side of garlic Parmesan fries. They are made to order so it came out hot and fresh! The fries were wayyyy too salty for me. I usually eat my fries by itself but i needed some sauce to balance out the flavor and a little water to wash it down. The burger however was pretty good. Smack fries, sub grilled onion for crispy onion, added bacon, spicy seasoning (the only downside was full size bacon, not chopped, hard to eat with fries) It is self-serve ordering so we didn't have a ton of experience with the service, however the little that we did was great, lady working there was very sweet. This style of burger isn't for me, but I can see why others may like it. Similar to how some people like thin Oreos versus the original. Onto the game changer, the fries! The flakiness and crunch filled with flavor with every bite is what bumped my ranking from a 3 to a 4. Hotline Burger whips up a delicious, modern smashburger that's difficult to find in Houston. I ordered the Patty Melt and a side order of fries and that were both *chef's kiss* good. You can tell by the taste that they use premium ingredients and really care about the quality. I really appreciate the menu being so straight forward and not a crazy amount of options. Little room for error when it comes to how you want your burger. I love smash burgers and have to say the patty melt was A1 along with the extra crispy extra fresh fries. Service wise there is not much interaction with the staff but after a quick rundown of how the kiosk works you are good to go. Service was quick and the guy at the front was nice.
