This restaurant is hidden next to a gas station. They provide great and kind service with high quality ingredient. The combo meal is a must here for a satisfaction meal!

Damn I love a good burger...and this was a DAMN GOOD BURGER! We stopped while on a road trip and grabbed lunch. So glad we did! You order on a kiosk inside, easy peasy. The food was fast but didn't taste rushed at all. The patties were packed with flavor and juicy. The right amount of juicy too! Not dried out and not "wet". Just right. The sauce was "chef's kiss" and the fries were that perfectly cooked crispy on the outside and soft potato inside. So SO good! Definitely recommend if you are in the area.

Do NOT let the location fool you. Yes, it is right next to a gas station and not in the posh-est (is that a word?) neighborhood. However, it delivers on taste! There are 2 self-ordering stations at the cashier's area. You'll select your menu items, and they start working on it in the kitchen once you pay and submit your order. I appreciate the simple menu options. I got the smash burger with fried onions/shallots and my partner got the patty melt. Like most burgers and melts, it's a bit greasy. The fries are piping hot and crispy. Cajun fries are definitely spicy! It's open seating. My tiny complaint: the tables were all dirty or sticky. A suggestion would be to provide wipes/napkins if the customers are supposed to clean up after themselves...

Small little restaurant in the strip of a gas station. I thought the inside was really cute lol reminded me of GTA vice city. The person at the front was really welcoming and helpful and let me know how to order so the service was great. I love that they serve halal meat. The burger was okay! I felt like they just slapped the meat on the grill and didn't season properly but it wasn't terrible. The smack fries were decent as well, I'd probably come back and order regular fries. I'd rate them 6/10 overall

I ordered the smash burger with the grilled onions. It was tasty and priced accordingly. The fries are not great.

Little Hidden Gem! Ordering is like a kiosk, you use the screen to submit your order then its made fresh. The burger had the crispy edges, and the patty hangs far over the bun! the fry portion was top tier. Even had the nostalgia bag fries to eat. Highly recommend, and the cook was very nice and let me try the other sauces. The spicy bbq goes great with your french fries

This burger joint is pretty good! We love the staff and enjoy the ambiance here. It gets busy but everyone gets their order's accordingly. I recommend you try their burgers sometime.

Hotline - 8/10 - $9.49 - Decent burger. I didnt think the meat had much flavor tho and was also a bit burnt in my opinion. Patty melt - 7.5/10 - $9.49 - Good but i wasnt a big fan. Tasted kinda bland. Smack fries - 8/10 - $5.49 - I really like these except for the onions on top. The fries were crispy and the sauce tasted good too. Garlic parmesan fries - 8.5/10 - $3.99 - The fries were really nice and crispy. The flavor was good too but i think it was too salty for me. Hotline burger was a decent spot but i think theres better spot for burgers out there

Great burger from this hole-in-the-wall gas station restaurant. Fantastic burger. It tastes like gyro/shawarma from Halal Bros (at UT Austin) combined with a smash burger. By the way, this is the best smash burger I've had and I'd give it a 9/10 simply because I'm leaving room at the top. I thought the bathroom was a bit dirty, but the kitchen looked alright from where I was standing. Not the best place to sit down and eat. Thought I should also mention the service since so many reviews are bashing them. You order through a touchscreen. I got a smile, and they prepared my burger in under five minutes, so I'm happy.

Why 5 stars? Because this is probably the best smash burger I've ever had. --- --- --- Smash burgers are all the rage, but I have not fully bought into them. I've had some good ones, and some meh ones. But THIS one was as good as it gets. If you like Cane's sauce, you will love Smack Sauce. It really is the perfect condiment. And when paired with a perfectly cooked smashed patty, it's hard to imagine a better lunch. I also ordered some smack fries, which are loaded with a bunch of stuff, including the aforementioned smack (crack) sauce. Guess what? They were also amazing. The only bad thing about the meal is that I felt like I could have eaten literally twice as much. Part of that was because the burger wasn't very big, and part of it was that it was so amazing that I didn't want it to end. It's located in a parking lot with a gas station. When we walked in, there were no people inside, including employees. Well, the employees were in the back. There were two iPads set up for customers to order on, so you don't even interact with anyone until someone comes out with your food. Honestly, it's probably that way, as it's on you to put your order in right and the business doesn't have to pay for a cashier. I live nowhere near here and have never been in this area before, so I will probably not be back, but that's only because of geography. If this was anywhere near my house, I would be a regular customer for sure!

Just updating to note it's not a Shell station (anymore) but it is a gas station. One of the random ones (not one of the major ones). And it's not in the gas station but attached in that same little building complex with its own wall. Regardless, after eating here multiple times, confirming the quality is still top notch. Mmm those fries are fried so perfectly and the flavor/cook on the burger - top notch!

Touring Houston and needed lunch so I checked Yelp, of course! Hotline had great ratings so we took a detour and we're not disappointed. If you like smash burgers you will love these. There is a guy waiting to explain the kiosks if it's your first time. He was really nice and the kiosks was self explanatory. Loved the substitutions. They are on the end of a gas station next to the car wash. There is eating inside and a large TV. It looked clean. Hubby got the patty melt and he said it was really good. They are large! I got the classic without cheese, onion, and pickles. We paid about $20 for both sandwiches. Next time we will try the fries. Try them out when you are in Houston.

I had opted for a beef burger with a side of chili cheese tater tots to share. The burger is quite large and filled generously with whatever add-ins you check off so it was very filling for me. I went with two 2oz patties, but considering the size, I'd opt for a single 2 oz patty if I go back. For my burger I also added scallion aioli which didn't have a strong green onion flavor but was still nice and added creaminess to the burger overall. The tater tots were super crispy, and the chili cheese topping was nice. I had gone shortly after they opened and it wasn't super busy but it started to quickly fill up around 11:30-12. I was extremely excited to give this place a shot and, after failing to try it about a month ago…read moredue to them being out of falafel patties, I finally got to try it this past weekend and honestly I was very much underwhelmed (I even called before going to make sure they hadn't run out of falafel patties this time). To start off with a positive, I thought the falafel patty had a really great taste and was absolutely the highlight of the burger. But outside of that the burger and the toppings I ordered just didn't work as well as I would've liked. I ordered my burger with mushrooms and sauteed onions, both toppings I know I absolutely love from making burgers at home and from other spots, but neither added much. At first I was worried that the falafel was overpowering them both but upon eating them by themselves they just lacked taste. We also got the scallion aioli on the burger and I never got a hint of it at any point. All in all, the burger was very much mediocre outside of the patty. We also got fries with the burger and while they absolutely had some potential they were extremely over seasoned. Any appreciation for the seasonings in a vacuum was immediately overshadowed by how salty they were. We also ordered the Sambal Mayo as a dipping sauce and while it did help subdue the insane salt level and overall tasted quite good, upon writing this review I found out by looking at their online menu that it contained some amount of shrimp. This information is nowhere to be seen on the ordering slip and wasn't mentioned when I handed it over to the person working at the cash register. And while I definitely accept some level of responsibility for not doing my due diligence and asking or letting them know of my dietary restrictions, it's still an extremely frustrating thing to have happen as both a vegetarian and someone with a mild shellfish allergy. If for whatever reason the online menu is out of date or I missed an obvious indication of it containing shrimp somewhere I am more than happy to edit my review.

I went with the Double Good Burger at Johnny Good Burger, and honestly... it was surprisingly good. Perfectly smashed patties with those crispy edges, juicy inside, and well-balanced flavors that didn't feel overcomplicated. Sometimes simple just works--and this definitely did. The fries deserve their own shoutout: extra crispy, hot, and downright addictive. No soggy sadness here. I kept telling myself "just one more" until the tray was mysteriously empty. All in all, a very satisfying burger experience. If you're in the mood for a legit smash burger and happen to be wandering POST Houston, this one's absolutely worth stopping for.

There were no other customers at the time, but that's to be expected for a slow Monday. The menu is quite simple with just 4 different entrees, 3 different ways to order fries, and a few soft drink options in a cold case. Everything here is a la carte but there is a combo option where you can save about $3 off the regular menu pricing. I chose the "Double Good" and added a patty for $3 more figuring the patties are most likely very thin. The burger comes with lettuce, onion tomato, pickles and special sauce. I subbed the American for Swiss, but the Swiss ended up being a Swiss-American blend, so it tasted mostly like American cheese which I hate. I keep having bad luck with Swiss lately. The patty is about 1/4 lb and tastes similar to a home cooked burger. I ended up setting the burger down and just eating the patty with a fork since I didn't like the taste of the cheese, sauce, or the entire burger as a whole after a handful of bites. Overall, I'm glad I finally tried it but this is not a burger I would come back for, especially at this price point.

A standard smashed Double cheeseburger and generous extra crispy impressively seasoned waffle fries as you want it cost $16 which is fair since adding the fries vs standalone burger is only $1 price differential. Clutch City Grill sits next to Burger Chan (the most recent title holder of best burger for my son) but this Sunday, they were not open so we tried the one we didn't try last time--CCG. And let me just say that this place tucked away inside a collective indoor food concession aka The Conservatory Galleria, has every right to boldly don the clutch city burger title. Inside this perfectly grilled almost Hawaiian role type hint of sweet homemade bun is a masterclass of burger perfection, made right in front of you and to your liking based on your selections from the order tap screens. While, waiting, I looked at everything I didn't order as it was being served and I'm almost certain that anything you order at CCG is delicious. Presentation is superb because others were sitting with large selections in front of them that caused me a bit of buyers remorse--I couldn't decide. The vibe is chill enough to talk to the grill master while my son was figuring out his massive burger order--he randomly had a hash brown added to a patty melt. And ordered something to take home or in case one order wasn't enough for the teen appetite. But the food is massive. I cannot stress that enough. Portions of everything there are beyond generous from what we saw and this is the kind of place where there's delivery guys picking up, people working on their laptops and the average joe grabbing takeout after work as well as families having dinner but not crowded. We sat and reflected on a great shopping day in a chill environment and reminisced on the old days of Galleria area last minute back to school night before/we should do this more type of memories in the making. The take something to go plus my own leftover (cutting the burger in half is an open from the order touch screen) and it passed the ultimate test of being really good cold the next day. This place begs the question--where is everybody? I can't be the only one who knows about it. But also was inviting enough to silently confirm that I think we've found our place. One that even has a cool bathroom with a mirror that says "you look amazing." Exactly how you're going to feel about the food that looks even better than it does in its promo photos
