My daughter's satin dress was full of stains and they got everyone out! Then when I went to pick up my clothes the lady mentioned that she found money, $100 in the suit pocket. She gave back the $100 and when I tried to give her a $20 tip for her honesty, she refused to take it. I told her that she has my word that I will back for all my dry cleaning. Heartbroken by the lack of care and customer service…read more I have been a loyal customer here for a long time, choosing to support this local business "no matter what." Unfortunately, that ended today. I brought in a brand-new silk scarf from a local boutique. I specifically asked if they could handle the delicate material and was told yes. The service cost $60--more than I even paid for the item on sale--but I was happy to pay for professional work. When I picked it up, the silk was ruined; it "clumps" and no longer drapes. When I returned to ask for help, the owner was dismissive, put the item directly under a steamer without a protective cloth, and when I asked for a partial refund or discount due to the damage, he told me: "Not my problem." As someone dealing with a recent chronic diagnosis, this scarf was a rare treat for myself. To be treated with such zero empathy and zero accountability is unacceptable and, just sad.

What a change! New machines. Updated interior with new floors and the addition of vending machines and WiFi. I didn't see the WiFi info anywhere though. I should've asked for them but ended up using my hotspot. I came here to use a larger capacity washing machine for my daughters comforter. The price was reasonable compared to area laundromats. I overheard the owner mentioning that they also do commercial accounts too. I was tempted to try their pickup service but decided I needed the time away from my desk. The have drop off service as well as dry cleaner and also provide services for businesses as well. So glad they are back in business!

There was also the standard vending machine in case you forgot any of your detergent and whatnot. There was one employee I saw working who was very nice when I accidentally spilled some powdered detergent on the floor. On the flip side, this place doesn't have the vibe that you'd want to hang out in and work while your laundry is going. There's no place to really sit at a table and do some work. I think most customers are locals who drop off their laundry and come back when their laundry is done. Drop it off at your own peril I suppose?

One is a vintage wool car coat (shorter than the usual length of a coat) from Eileen Fisher, something I bought about 35 years ago. Another is a dark dark purpleish 3/4 length coat, with great sentimental value. So I was hesitant to turn these over and take a chance. However, I can say without reservation that Elite Cleaners II did an excellent job! The colors look more vibrant, esp. the Eileen Fisher coat, which is a dark teal. And that they use a "wet" method and not chemicals was a plus. The items were ready one week later. Yes, you can expect to pay more for their service, although I don't know if the $53.00 for two coats would be standard or not. At any rate, to my mind, it was well worth it. Now my coats are ready for the next winter in Ann Arbor!

Received a call on FRIDAY, told they could not hem them at all. Very disappointed in the lack of apology for stringing us along for over a week on a job they promised but could not actually come through on. We could have taken them somewhere else to be altered in that time frame. Frustrating. We'll go elsewhere for our dry cleaning and alterations.
