In one long weekend, I dined three times in this restaurant. Connected to the hotel, their service staff is kind and friendly. I had a large salad for lunch, a club sandwich for dinner with Parmesan potatoes served with a wonderful aïoli and then a few days later for a late night snack shared wings. The restaurant is in great repair and very clean. Next time I'm in the area. I will likely choose this location because of the restaurant.

after a seven hour drive that felt like at least 13 hours, i went against my standing rule never to eat at a hotel site restaurant. part of me feels like i should continue this rule... our server was very nice, i think her name was gracen (?), i ordered a pinot noir, since i'm fancy and heart healthy that way. my lovely date had a corona. we ordered crunchy spicy cauliflower as an appetizer, in a nod to healthy eating. this was a mistake. my yummy date ordered fish and chips, with french fries and coleslaw. more on the coleslaw fiasco of 2025 later. i ordered the center cut filet mignon, which comes with two sides. i chose mashed potatoes (another mistake) and garlic green beans. gracen was still cool. as we talked about everything and nothing while sipping our drinks, we watched others around us get their food. we started wondering about the crunchy spicy cauliflower appetizer. were they growing the vegetable? where was it? gracen brought our entrees. as you can see from the accompanying picture, my mashed potatoes were served as balls. that's cool, i don't mind eating a potato ball. i do, however, mind eating a cold potato ball. steak was actually good. garlic green beans had absolutely no kick to them, so i doused them in pepper, with eternal hopes of finding taste somewhere. i must address the issue of the coleslaw - look at the picture - it was slaw mixed with LETTUCE, and served on a warm entree plate. my lovely dinner partner asked me to taste it. against my better instincts, but fortified by this time with another drink (a lovely gin filled lemonade), i ate a bite. look, some people might not mind eating warm salad mixed with coleslaw parts, but it just isn't right. here's where it gets interesting. the manager brought us the CRUNCHY spicy cauliflower, which was supposed to be an appetizer, and apologized, took it off the bill. that was cool, very nice of her. however, that appetizer was awful. it was soggy and lukewarm, with the kick of a sickly kitten. gracen did tell us (when she came back, i think she felt bad about it, but truly, we weren't upset) the cook was new. i guess that explains the cold potatoes, weird warm slaw/lettuce salad and the drenched in sadness cauliflower. all that said, we returned here the next night, simply because my butt was too lazy to fight for a spot at the iffy restaurants that surround the hotel. the second night, we ate at the bar. i have absolutely no recollection of what i ate, but i do remember dropping my fork twice, while the lovely bartender pretended he did not see it happening and simply provided me with another fork. here is a word of warning: do not drink french 75's on an empty stomach after you have been walking around in the heat for hours. and certainly don't drink TWO french 75's, followed by wine. even though the all the food wasn't fantastic, the service was great and everyone was very friendly (both nights). i probably won't go back though, since 1. i live numerous hours away, and 2. the fork thing. i still have faint residuals of laughter in my memories from nearby patrons, but am trying to tell myself that was just me, laughing at my own french 75 soaked self. we will never know. p.s. - the first night was $88.08 and i left a $20 tip, since i wanted to make sure gracen didn't feel bad about the almost absent cauliflower appetizer, scary lettuce slaw, and bizarre potato balls. i lost the receipt for the second night, but am fairly certain i should have been charged for two missing forks.

Restaurant is in the doubletree hotel so we ate here while attending a conference. The cocktails were well made, the food was good and the waitstaff were friendly and attentive. What more can you ask? Only reason they got 4 stars was there just wasn't anything extraordinary.

I had a spicy hot chicken salad with chunks of bleu cheese, pecans, croutons, red onions, cherry tomatoes and a delicious vinaigrette. The greens were so crisp and fresh. My first bite was heavenly and I could not stop until my husband asked for pieces of the chicken, which was crispy on the outside and moist and flavorful inside. Yummy. The service was great! Very friendly staff and accommodating. Very nice dining room. The seating was very comfortable and plenty of televisions to look at all the games. The ladies room is decorated with tiles from the floor to the ceiling,I had to stop and say wow! Nice place and I am glad we stopped in, what a treat!

Food was good, but bar staff was unfriendly and had to hear them gossip the whole time. Unprofessional and won't sit at the bar again.

Amazing would go again multiple times!…read more This was the first time I went to Springfield and my friends brought me to The Table and I would come to Springfield again just for this place. Before you even walk in the building looks amazing, it's more spacious in the inside than it looks on the outside. Big open space and a little shop and showcased so many great items. There was jazz music playing and everything just felt cozy. Also it might sound weird but go use the restrooms! They look fantastic and will give you many ideas just for decorating. The food was delicious I had gotten the S'mores Iced Latte, Caprese Toast and shared Berries & Cream Pancakes. You might say wow $14 for some Caprese Toast but it was so filling you really don't need anything else. Everything was reasonably priced due to how elegant and delicious the food was. The service was really quick and it was fairly busy the food was hot and everything tasted really fresh. The people were very kind and helpful with any questions. The service was very professional and enjoyable!

Nothing special. Dry. Just not a good menu item. To the owners if they read this: The place is too nice to have counter service to order. Both times I've been here, it is always backed up and takes a good while to order. We were the 3rd group back last night. Parties of 2, each group was. And it takes too long. To end on a positive note: the place is neat and always great to have people revitalize an old building in our town.

I must say, with the utmost sincerity and considerable pleasure, that my recent visit to Jimms…read moreSteakhouse and Pub proved to be an exceedingly delightful affair from beginning to end. It is not every day that one has the good fortune to encounter a proper establishment in which the atmosphere, the company, and the meal all combine so agreeably, but Jimms most certainly provided such an occasion. Upon entering, I was immediately pleased by the character of the establishment. There is something wonderfully comforting about a steakhouse and pub that possesses a sense of occasion without becoming tiresome or pretentious. One may settle oneself comfortably, converse at leisure, and look forward to a proper meal with the agreeable certainty that one has made a very sound decision indeed. Now, to the principal matter at hand: the food. I had the distinct pleasure of ordering the prime rib, and I can say without the slightest hesitation that I thoroughly, wholeheartedly, and almost embarrassingly enjoyed it. It was an absolute triumph. The sort of dish that arrives at the table and immediately commands one's attention, rendering all conversation temporarily secondary. The prime rib was wonderfully prepared, exceedingly satisfying, and possessed that magnificent quality which makes one pause between bites simply to appreciate what one has been fortunate enough to receive. Every bite was an absolute pleasure. The meat was tender, beautifully cooked, rich in flavour, and possessed precisely the hearty savoury character one hopes to encounter when ordering a proper piece of beef. It was indulgent without becoming excessive, substantial without being tiresome, and sufficiently splendid that I found myself wishing the portion might somehow defy the ordinary laws of appetite. Had the laws of polite society permitted me to continue eating indefinitely, I suspect I should have made a valiant attempt. The other gentleman in our party selected the New York strip steak, and I am delighted to report that his experience was equally successful. He thoroughly enjoyed his steak and spoke very highly of it throughout the meal. From what I observed, it was an exceedingly handsome specimen of beef, prepared with considerable care and possessing precisely the robust character one expects from a fine New York strip. There is something particularly gratifying about dining with companions when everyone at the table receives precisely what they had hoped for. No disappointed faces, no regrettable selections, and no solemn contemplation of the menu wondering where it all went wrong. Rather, we found ourselves enjoying our respective steaks immensely and exchanging the occasional approving remark between bites, which, in my estimation, is a rather reliable indication that the kitchen has done its duty admirably. Indeed, the meal was sufficiently good that one rather loses track of time. The conversation continues, the plates gradually empty, and before one knows it, one is sitting there contemplating whether ordering another course would constitute gluttony or merely demonstrate excellent judgement. I shall leave that philosophical question to wiser men, but I will say that Jimms certainly inspired the temptation. The entire experience had the pleasant quality of an evening one might very much wish to prolong, preferably with another glass of something agreeable and perhaps another helping, should one's dignity permit such extravagance. There are establishments where one eats because one is hungry, and there are establishments where one eats because the food itself becomes part of the evening. Jimms belongs firmly in the latter category. I should also commend the overall atmosphere. Jimms Steakhouse and Pub has that wonderfully comfortable quality which makes a meal feel like an occasion rather than merely an exercise in acquiring nourishment. It is the sort of place where one can settle in, enjoy one's company, take one's time over a proper meal, and allow the evening to unfold without feeling hurried. That quality is increasingly rare and, in my opinion, deserves considerable appreciation. Our meal was hearty, satisfying, memorable, and thoroughly enjoyable. The prime rib alone would have been sufficient reason for me to leave a favourable review, but the excellent New York strip enjoyed by my companion, coupled with the pleasant surroundings and the general success of the evening, made the occasion all the more worthwhile. I departed feeling exceedingly content, which is surely one of the highest compliments a restaurant can receive. There is a particular satisfaction in leaving a dining establishment with the firm conviction that the money spent, the time taken, and the appetite expended have all been put to excellent use. Such was precisely the case here. Would I return? Without question. Would I recommend Jimms? Most certainly.

Always a great experience at Jimms! They have such a nice dining atmosphere. Service was amazing!…read moreWe tried the salad bar for the first time and it was wonderful.
