I believe I have had take out from Houlihan's before but I've never actually been the restaurant until now. When I first walked in, the vibes felt very homey. My mom wanted to sit out on the patio which was very nice since it was a sunny day. They also have umbrellas at some of the tables for those who want to avoid the sun. My mom and I both ordered their all day fix which includes 3 courses for $25.99. First I got a caesar salad, which was pretty good although a bit smaller than I hoped for. I ordered shrimp scampi for the second course which was so delicious. The artichokes were a surprisingly great touch to the dish. For dessert, I ordered creme brulee. As a creme brulee addict, I thought it was delicious. It was also very big so it could've been shared but I ate it all myself. The service was overall good. Our server was very friendly and attentive. She brought each course to us in a timely manner which was also very appreciated. read more

All I can say is ewww! I ordered the lettuce wraps. The chuck of lettuce came out full of dirt & mushy mold. When I finally found the waitress. She said gross, but no apology, no offer to bring a menu if I wanted something else. It gets worse... The manger came out with more old lettuce (it was washed at least) & simply said I hope this is better. I said I didn't want it. Again no apology, no asking if I want something else just I will take it off the bill. When I mentioned it would be great if some one offered a menu so I could order something else, he said he will make it a teaching moment for the waitress. What? So $60 later (drinks & food for the 2 with me), I am eating dinner at Mitchell's Ice Cream. Update: The restaurant replied on yelp asking me to email. 3-4 star. The bartender was slammed with no help for over hour and a half. Finally the manager got her head out of her ass and helped at least clear dishes and glasses. As busy as the bartender was she did her best with No help. Definitely understaff and no management help to keep time a float. Appetizer got smaller and more pricer. We had booked a place for a luncheon after a family member's memorial service. They cancelled on us 3 days before the event. Karen S., the Houlihan's event planner, stepped up when we called and was incredibly understanding and helpful. When we arrived on Saturday, more people showed up than we had anticipated. The staff of Luz, Janeen, and Kaidence didn't miss a beat. They figured out how to handle our overflow of people, kept the chafing dishes filled, and made sure everyone's glasses remained full. Pretty busy for a mid afternoon late lunch around 145. We got the birthday coupon for 15 off so we came for all you can eat soup and salad. The restriction didn't disqualify that item but the server said they wouldn't take it. After reading the fine print, the manager aloud it, so that was fair. We tried the French onion soup the chicken tortilla soup and the creamy tomato bisque plus the three bean salad in the garden salad. All five were stupendous no complaints from me, my wife said French onion was a bit salty. The tomato soup had little cheese fritters that when you cut them open, they oozed liquid cheese... That was a great moment in my week! The three bean salad was amazing as usual, the crustinis were crunchy, did I mention the tomato soup was awesome. Dining room & restroom were clean & nice still. I stopped for lunch today and everything was perfect! Mary took good care of me and was friendly and efficient. Very good service! I'd like to give a shout out to the cook today also. I had a cheeseburger and I ordered it medium and it actually was! It was delicious ! I had asparagus with that and it was grilled and yummy. Topped off the whole thing with a wonderful crème brûlée. Houlihans for the win!!! I know, who knew after all these years Houlihans would only get better. Family fun, great appetizers, and long life island drinks, the menu is great too. Speaking of, the menu is pretty vast, and they even offer a prefix with an appetizer, entree and a dessert. The tuna nachos are really good, fresh and they have pretty good heat. The tortilla soup was fresh and had a lot of chicken. Our entrees were great, the scallops were cooked perfectly, my mother loved the meatloaf, the portions were huge and the chocolate lava cake was delicious. read more

Houlihan's was unfortunately disappointing. I feel like they have a lot of potential because the restaurant itself is very nice and has a great ambiance. Let down number one was having a reservation but still being seated in the bar area. Let down number two was a big in our lettuce wrap appetizer. I get it, it's produce and bugs can happen, but the lettuce leaves were stacked right on top of each other so it seems that it was not washed, very unappetizing. The staff was nice and did apologize and obviously we were not charged for the lettuce wraps, but even the other food was just basic. Maybe it would have been better if the bug wasn't in the very first thing we were about to eat. The white bean appetizer was good, the rest of the food was really basic and okay at best. We tried a burger and chicken with mashed potatoes and a veggie, really nothing special. Giving them a 3 because the servers were nice and there is potential. read more

How is this place still open? Went just for the patio today. Last time we went had the chicken piccata. Too much lemon and salt. I make it better at home! Today I had the "stuffed shrimp with crab meat " it was more like pieces of shrimp with a tsp of crab something on them and was accompanied by overcooked risotto drowned in another lemon sauce with way too much salt! The food was delicious! The waitress was horrible. What really makes me mad is because of our party size, gratuity was added to our check so this waitress made well over $100 in tips for awful service. None of that money goes to the cook who actually did his job. She was unfriendly, forgot drinks, forgot orders, rolled her eyes at my nephew when he asked for a refill, and completely disappeared when we needed our checks. We were there for 2 1/2 hours! We had paid our check and my dad was still standing there waiting for his. I tried to explain these things to manager on duty but she just stood there and did nothing. I was a waitress and both my daughters are waitresses. The amount of work they would have to do to get a tip this large is unbelievable. Just because food is more expensive that does not give you the right to not do your job knowing you will still get a big tip. Houlihan's calls themselves upscale dining. Well a waitress with multi- colored hair and old jeans on does not scream upscale to me. We were not at a bar on wing night! Kudos to the chef! You deserve the hefty tip from our table not the woman who took it home with her. read more

Tried this place in January, which didn't work out so I purposefully drove there on Black Friday just to see. Houlihan's was very popular in the Cleveland area Probably 30-40years ago and was located in the place called Parmatown which is called something else now. it was very well attended, very well awarded and very well rated by anyone who went there. we were VERY sad when it closed, but I was shocked and amazed when I found it last January to see the same logo - the same menu. It was like coming home. I was seated right away. I decided on the codfish tacos and ordered it. It was instantly served Presented well and I loved the heck out of this very messy dish.
