2 hours ago NEW Whew, where do I begin! First off, the owner grabbed my hand once seeing I was impaired and walked me to our table. She was so personable and welcoming. The customer service from all the staff is second to none! I was in disbelief that this level of customer attention still existed. The decor was beautiful, specially the all white outdoor seating. Now, the food! My goodness, everything came out piping hot! You could see the steam coming off of everything. The chicken, pork chops and catfish were seasoned and fried to perfection. WHOLE wings! The greens, and Mac and cheese were sooo good. But baby, that cornbread dressing and yams made me dance with the first bite, literally, we stood up and danced. The portions were very good also. Came here with my friend and didn't know this little downtown gem existed. I got Wings and a Ray's run punch. 2 actually. Initially I was apprehensive about going anywhere to dine in, but I decided to take a chance. The space was nice and very clean. I was happy how it all looked which helped me be even more comfortable with being out and about during this crisis. Very good food and great service! Came to this restaurant to celebrate my friend Rhonda's birthday last week and had a great time. Notable items were the big juicy butterflied shrimp and the fresh and crispy chicken wings breaded in-house and served with a sauce of your choice. The Cajun butter wings were so craveable, I could eat a whole plate! We even got extra to go :D I had the make a review as this restaurant has recently opened in the location previously occupied by Mardi Gras and it did not have a Yelp page yet! So now you know Yelpers! Stop in at Renee's! Cajun Butter. The staff is very attentive and friendly, they really made us feel welcome and relaxed! I will definitely come back for their wings and seafood so another review to come soon. Cajun Butter. For a place to be advertised as good foods didn't meet my expectations. I was there on the 21st of August 2021 on my way back to New York State. It was a Sunday, and I had a taste for Jamaican food but no Jamaican restaurants were opened. Renee's Place popped up on my phone, and we decided to take a ride to try out the food according to the catchy food images. My thoughts, I was overcharged for the little amount of food. I should've taken a picture of my happy meal. I ordered red snapper, collard greens w/no pork, and garlic mashed potatoes. It was a nursing home-to-go meal at best. The garlic potatoes and collard greens had absolutely no seasoning. I was told turkey meat is used to season collard greens but not a trace of meat was found. Two pieces of supposedly red snapper the size of a hot dog. I pray it wasn't catfish served to me instead of red snapper. Pleasant staff. Nice clean bathrooms. Nice place. Church music playing. Natasha got the nerves to have a podcast set up in her restaurant. She should invite the Restaurant Impossible guy on her podcast to give her cooking points on how to serve her customers' good food. The cost was $28.00 and some change and I gave the waitress $30.00 and said keep the change. A meal that was worth half of what I paid. I try to support black businesses but now I understand why some never stay in business that long. Natasha, take notes from Jus For Jazz owner in Syracuse, NY, and The Lounge Club in Buffalo, NY. Two wonderful places where you get quality food for your hard-earned dollars. I guess Jesus didn't make you an honest restaurant owner who knows how to cook real food. The person that was with me is an actual real cook, and that person refused to eat the collard greens and garlic mashed potatoes. Obsessed was actually trying to get to another event but Renee invited us in and welcomed us to make out selves home and I never want to leave this place. It is home! I'm from out of town and wish I could've found this place sooner the locals and workers are so social and have recommended soo much for us I'm absolutely Inlove with the atmosphere and sense of community. Fast, friendly, service and drinks! I had the smothered pork chops, garlic mashed potatoes and greens. Delicious! Got the fish sandwich to go for the following days dinner. Peach cobbler was great too! Everything delivered in take out containers so you can either leave with your food or sit down and enjoy the DJ and dine in. They offer parking in a lot across the street. There is a little street parking too. The area seems a tad sketch but safe. Enjoy! read more

I came in for a surprise birthday dinner for my 80 year granny and the server never got us drinks even after we got our food me and my wife went to the bar and my brother in law still didn't get his lemonade and they only gave him two pieces of fish with his three piece dinner and then told us it would b one hour for fish . I was trying to decide where I wanted to go on my birthday weekend. My sister & niece recommended this restaurant because they were considering having a party here once. Due to the Covid, the maximum number allowed in your party is 10. In these days & times, we understood & upheld that rule. Reducing our attendees, quite considerably. As we entered, on a Saturday night, we can hear good music playing by the infamous, DJ Ellery. Who, after dinner, got us up & out of our seats, as always. We were immediately greeted by Renee who adhering to Covid meaures, was wearing a mask & confirmed our reservations. She then proceeded to usher my party & I, to the formal dining area located on the side of the restaurant. This area is impeccably decorated & absolutely beautiful. It was quite elegant & we immediately felt welcome. Our server, Kanisha, introduced herself, warmly & commenced to take our orders right away. I had the jumbo shrimp dinner with the macaroni & cheese & G-ma's homemade dressing. Someone else in my party ordered the garlic wings & those too, were delicious! As a cocktail, I ordered the Linda's special margarita. Our server, Kanisha, was also our bartender & she knocked it out of the park! A grand slam! If you like margaritas, you've got to try this one!
