I was more excited about the idea of eating here, more so than actually eating here after our dinner. With that being said it was ok and if you are in the area check it out to see if you have a better experience than just ok. It feel short of service, and flavor for me but the appeal and inside was nice. I had the Bourbon Pork Tenderloin with chive mashed potatoes and carrots. My partner had the chef's special which was Pan Seared Diver-Sea Scallops served over fresh corn, smoked Applewood bacon, asparagus, and risotto with lobster cream sauce. Service was slow but there was a party or something going on upstairs so that may have had something to do with it. The menu was limited and I may have had a better experience if I was drinking. Sausalito on Ninth is located in the IMG Center and their website is www.sausalitocle.com.

Visited Sausalito on Ninth with a coworker for the first time years. Upon arrival, we were the first ones in the restaurant. We were given menus and our drink requests were taken. Looking over the menu, I decided to request a lobster roll with fries. A while later, our food was delivered. My lobster roll was balanced and very tasty. I'd definitely request it again. The fries were hot and delicious. Great lunch, but a little pricey. Our server was fast and friendly.

Mediocre food at best. Service was good though. Very reliable and efficient. Ambiance was effectively good for outside seating during lunch.

    Pregame before the Browns game!

This place was super fun for a pregame before the Browns game. They had a dj which is actually the reason we stopped because he was so hype and bringing people in. The bartenders were nice, the chicken tenders and fries were good, and the rest of the menu looked good. They had a shot girl walking around giving away shots and see through bags. The only downside is the bathrooms were individual so there was a line the whole time we were there. Make it a point to stop here if you need a pregame spot.

Well, I'm sitting here at the outside bar where I was directed. I was told there is no happy hour setting, so I've been sitting here for about 10 minutes. No one took my drink order. I asked a lady that's outside to take my order and she claimed she "didn't have any wine outside." So I get frustrated and go inside and say "hey, is anyone going to take my drink order like you said they would if I sat outside? The lady outside said she didn't have any?" An Indian gentleman apologized and had someone get me a glass BUT NO ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Has asked me if I wanted anything else, food, drink NOTHING!!!!! However she takes other people's order. No mines I will NEVER come back here ever again. The service SUCKS!

Went to Sausalito yesterday with my coworker! It is conveniently located on ninth street, near many companies downtown. If you are not working in the area, there are parking options nearby. The environment is very casual and the inside is just beautiful. It has very high ceilings and a fun woodwork display separating the lower and upper dining areas. There is also a small bar. I went for lunch and was seated almost immediately. They even held my umbrella for me! I ordered the Pick Two with tomato bisque and the southwest rice bowl. Both were delicious. The complimentary bread you receive upon sitting, tastes wonderful dipped in the bisque! I am still dreaming about the bread! Many of the other meal proportions seemed very generous - but I was a bit disappointed in the size of mine. Nonetheless, still delicious!

Calamari was squishy but came with an abundance of sauce. rab cakes were mushy. Duck was cooked well, though candied yams were extraordinarily sweet. Service was a bit on the slower side but cordial.

My boyfriend and I came in for dinner last night and I was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful the space is!  The floor to ceiling windows look right onto a busy intersection (I look forward to people watching on their patio this summer!) and the modern metal staircase is balanced beautifully by all the raw wood accents. The hostess was pleasant and sat us right away.  Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations on the drink menu.  I ordered the Latin Medicine which was so delicious!  It was a little spicy but sweet at the same time.  John ordered a Booze & Juice, which our server said was the house specialty, and he was not disappointed.  Order it with mezcal if you like things a little smokey! Next, appetizers.  We shared the meat and cheese board.  Folks.  It's $12.  ANYWHERE else in downtown Cleveland you would easily pay $25+ for the portion size of this appetizer.  On top of that, we ordered the  edamame hummus and it was delicious - a perfect compliment to the meat and cheese. Drinks round two: The Odoroko for me - according to our server, it's their take on a Nigroni, according to me, it's delicious.  John stuck with the Booze & Juice (he's hooked, still talking about it this morning!) Our entrees came out, and just like the appetizers, I was shocked to see how large the portions are for the price.  John ordered a bone in pork chop (menu price $18) and it looked like it came from a dinosaur it was so big!  The highlight was definitely the butternut hash that was served with it - sweet and salty and I could have bathed in the bbq sauce that was drizzled on top.  I selected the Branzino off the weekly specials - a whole fryed fish, grilled bok choy and a spicy thai sauce...FOR $15!!! And the best part? I would have paid $40 for that dish anywhere and have been more than satisfied.  I hope to see it on their permanent menu the next time I'm back! We opted out of dessert because we were so full, but stuck around the bar for one more drink.  The bartender made us something that wasn't on the menu, she called it The Ambush (because "it'll sneak up on you!").  It was heavenly.  Something like a mint julep for the modern day, it had fresh mint and lemon and apparently a healthy amount of Elijah Craig.  I want those and a patio in my life.  Immediately. Overall, we had an exceptional experience at Sausalito on Ninth.  Can't wait to dine again soon!

Our first time at Sausalito on Ninth was this past Saturday, November 16, 2019 around 5:00. What an enjoyable experience!! Our bartender (can't remember her name, but was pregnant with her hair up in a large bun) was the most kind & helpful~Totally AWESOME! Food was made from scratch and came out perfect. Beverages were extremely accommodating with a variety of alcohol/liquor options. We were impressed with the Bourbons! BEST French Fries around! Can't wait to go back!!!!!! Keep up the great job!!

It was busy without seeming crowded. The space was spacious, well decorated, unique and made good use of space. The bathrooms downstairs were artsy and in good taste! Menu was kind of limited but I have a feeling they try new things all the time so it was exciting to pick from. Too bad they ran out of some things when we went. I ordered the fried chicken dish which was fried to perfection, well seasoned and paired interestingly with pickled veggies. The portion was tiny but on par with something I would expect in a place like this. I also ordered 2 oysters for $9 which were the tiniest oysters I've ever seen. Sure, they were good but I would not get them again. My girlfriend ordered a canned non-alcoholic drink for $6 (way too expensive for a soda!) and the brussell sprouts. They were good but there was only 4 of them! Our server gave off a "I'm too cool for this gig" and dismissed my order when I asked for the chicken. He recommended the lamb which uh, was almost 3x as expensive as the chicken and not something I wanted as a light late dinner after a show... My friend's SIL worked here so she was warm, welcoming and gave us a great seat. So yeah, it's not the best restaurant in Cleveland or anything but there is something to the hype and if I do get the chance, the brunch looks amazing!

We arrived to be greeted by an exemplary young man serving as the valet. He was exceedingly pleasant and personable. I appreciated his marvelous attitude toward his job and our service. Shortly thereafter, a pleasant gentleman by the name of Ihab introduced himself as our server for the evening. He immediately filled our water, identified the various menus at the table, and took our drink orders. A while later our beverages arrived, he answered several questions and explained the evenings specials. I ordered the Grilled Avocado followed by Broiled Oysters "Rocco". My wife ordered the Potato Gnocchi with crab & lobster. We followed our meal with excellent coffee and a good Pot de Creme. In conclusion... the noise problem that so plagued us the first visit seemed to have been addressed. It was now more reasonable. I was able to visit in a recent trip to the city and would recommend it to those going for a visit as well. Located in the House of Blues, you'll have to enter through the 4th strewn door and head straight to the back. Most "speakeasies" I have visited in the US are pretty obvious (like someone sitting in a chair, directing you to a set of stairs behind them to enter the "speakeasy"), but with the entrance to this one tucked away behind a place with live music and food, it had more of an authentic feel. The friend with me that night even questioned if we were in the right place as I strolled to the back of the restaurant and walked up to the girl seated at a podium. "Excuse me, but is this the way to the foundation room?" I asked her. She affirmed, and we were soon on our way up an elevator. When we got to the second floor, we were promptly greeted by a host, Julius, who showed us around. The decor is sumptuous, a blend of Moroccan, Indian, and Jacobean flair. After checking out a room with relics from an Indian temple and looking at the rooftop (with an Instagram-worthy floral wall), we decided to grab a cozy spot near the bar and ordered a drink. As we sipped on our Old Fashioneds, Julius came by to check on us, and we watched the place fill up with an array of people in a festive mood. It was a lovely way to end a night in Cleveland, and a place I highly recommend that you check out when you're in the area!

After waiting about 10 minutes with no acknowledgment from anyone, I decided to at least check out the restroom while I waited... and that's when everything went downhill. The floors were extremely sticky--every step literally felt like my shoes were pulling off the ground. It didn't feel clean at all. As I got closer to the restroom area, there was a strong smell of what I can only describe as wet, moldy rags. The bathroom itself was dark, oddly designed, and just gave an overall uncomfortable vibe. What made it worse is that the place wasn't even busy--there was only one table and a couple people at the bar. So the lack of service and cleanliness really stood out. By the time I walked back to the bar, I had already made up my mind. No one had still acknowledged me, and based on the condition of the place, I wasn't willing to take a chance on the food. I grabbed my things and left. Later on, I mentioned it at another restaurant and was told this place is known for poor food quality and lack of authenticity--which honestly aligned with what I experienced just from being inside. I can't speak on the food since I didn't stay, but based on cleanliness, smell, and service alone, I would not recommend this spot. It gave the impression that basic upkeep isn't a priority, and that's not something I'm willing to overlook.
