Had a large corporate dinner at Sausalito's this evening. Scene was closed for just our party of 90+ people. Plenty of space between the outside patio, downstairs seating near the bar, and the upstairs loft as well. Staff was friendly and professional. Food was pre-cooked (pasta) but made to order with noodles, chicken or meatballs, garnishes and fruit/veggies, and 3 choices of sauce. It was very good. No parking as it's downtown but I walked from our hotel just a couple blocks away. Only real issue was that it didn't seem they were prepared for the instant rush of 90+ folks. Took some people more than an hour to get food since each dish had to be heated in the pan. Fri is were slightly faster but only just a bit. Overall though, I'd eat here again in a more normal situation. read more

The food is amazing. My mom and I had the chicken potstickers and fries. They were so crispy and so delicious but not even a bit of grease on them perfectly done! The service was very good as well waitress very attentive and super sweet. The restaurant looked very clean upon entering and quiet, even though it was about a quarter of the Wayfield everyone was very quiet and the music was at a reasonable volume, so you're not screaming over each other to try to talk. I was more excited about the idea of eating here, more so than actually eating here after our dinner. With that being said it was ok and if you are in the area check it out to see if you have a better experience than just ok. It feel short of service, and flavor for me but the appeal and inside was nice. I had the Bourbon Pork Tenderloin with chive mashed potatoes and carrots. My partner had the chef's special which was Pan Seared Diver-Sea Scallops served over fresh corn, smoked Applewood bacon, asparagus, and risotto with lobster cream sauce. Service was slow but there was a party or something going on upstairs so that may have had something to do with it. The menu was limited and I may have had a better experience if I was drinking. Visited Sausalito on Ninth with a coworker for the first time years. Upon arrival, we were the first ones in the restaurant. We were given menus and our drink requests were taken. Looking over the menu, I decided to request a lobster roll with fries. A while later, our food was delivered. My lobster roll was balanced and very tasty. I'd definitely request it again. This place was super fun for a pregame before the Browns game. They had a dj which is actually the reason we stopped because he was so hype and bringing people in. The bartenders were nice, the chicken tenders and fries were good, and the rest of the menu looked good. They had a shot girl walking around giving away shots and see through bags. The only downside is the bathrooms were individual so there was a line the whole time we were there. Make it a point to stop here if you need a pregame spot. read more

Well, I'm sitting here at the outside bar where I was directed. I was told there is no happy hour setting, so I've been sitting here for about 10 minutes. No one took my drink order. I asked a lady that's outside to take my order and she claimed she "didn't have any wine outside." Went to Sausalito yesterday with my coworker! It is conveniently located on ninth street, near many companies downtown. If you are not working in the area, there are parking options nearby. The environment is very casual and the inside is just beautiful. It has very high ceilings and a fun woodwork display separating the lower and upper dining areas. There is also a small bar. I went for lunch and was seated almost immediately. They even held my umbrella for me! I ordered the Pick Two with tomato bisque and the southwest rice bowl. Both were delicious. The complimentary bread you receive upon sitting, tastes wonderful dipped in the bisque! I am still dreaming about the bread! Many of the other meal proportions seemed very generous - but I was a bit disappointed in the size of mine. Nonetheless, still delicious! read more

Manager lied and said they would be able to serve us in a timely manner when I told him my husband and I had a show to get to at the Playhouse. He never once apologized for the long wait. My boyfriend and I came in for dinner last night and I was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful the space is!  The floor to ceiling windows look right onto a busy intersection (I look forward to people watching on their patio this summer!) and the modern metal staircase is balanced beautifully by all the raw wood accents. The hostess was pleasant and sat us right away.  Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations on the drink menu.  I ordered the Latin Medicine which was so delicious!  It was a little spicy but sweet at the same time.  John ordered a Booze & Juice, which our server said was the house specialty, and he was not disappointed.  Order it with mezcal if you like things a little smokey! Next, appetizers.  We shared the meat and cheese board.  Folks.  It's $12.  ANYWHERE else in downtown Cleveland you would easily pay $25+ for the portion size of this appetizer.  On top of that, we ordered the  edamame hummus and it was delicious - a perfect compliment to the meat and cheese. Drinks round two: The Odoroko for me - according to our server, it's their take on a Nigroni, according to me, it's delicious.  John stuck with the Booze & Juice (he's hooked, still talking about it this morning!) Our entrees came out, and just like the appetizers, I was shocked to see how large the portions are for the price.  John ordered a bone in pork chop (menu price $18) and it looked like it came from a dinosaur it was so big!  The highlight was definitely the butternut hash that was served with it - sweet and salty and I could have bathed in the bbq sauce that was drizzled on top.  I selected the Branzino off the weekly specials - a whole fryed fish, grilled bok choy and a spicy thai sauce...FOR $15!!! And the best part? I would have paid $40 for that dish anywhere and have been more than satisfied.  I hope to see it on their permanent menu the next time I'm back! We opted out of dessert because we were so full, but stuck around the bar for one more drink.  The bartender made us something that wasn't on the menu, she called it The Ambush (because "it'll sneak up on you!").  It was heavenly.  Something like a mint julep for the modern day, it had fresh mint and lemon and apparently a healthy amount of Elijah Craig.  I want those and a patio in my life.  Immediately. Overall, we had an exceptional experience at Sausalito on Ninth.  Can't wait to dine again soon! read more

Our first time at Sausalito on Ninth was this past Saturday, November 16, 2019 around 5:00. What an enjoyable experience!! Our bartender (can't remember her name, but was pregnant with her hair up in a large bun) was the most kind & helpful~Totally AWESOME! Food was made from scratch and came out perfect. Beverages were extremely accommodating with a variety of alcohol/liquor options. We were impressed with the Bourbons! BEST French Fries around! Can't wait to go back!!!!!! On a Browns game day we walked into this place on our way to the stadium. They had $3 beer, a very good selection; Stella...etc. they also had wings, which were only $8! The wings were amazing. Food and service were excellent and the staff was great. We sat at a table where we could see the whole kitchen and everyone in the kitchen was busting their ass and working hard. The other reviews for this restaurant looked fake to me or written by an employee, so I wasn't sure what to expect when I came in. I had a coupon for 10% off the entree, so I decided to just go check it out. I came in around 8pm and it wasn't that busy. The bartender Christina told me that this location just opened, so I think that's why. She was very nice and friendly! There was a guy at the bar who I thought was being a little arrogant, but she handled it very well without getting annoyed. I ordered a margarita and 'Airmail' to drink & enjoyed both. They have a lot of signature cocktails and I was tempted to try all of them. The food is great, I would've gave 5 stars but for the price I think the portions could be bigger. I had the rosemary chicken w/ mushroom cream sauce but I'm picky and asked them to take the mushrooms out, and they did with no problem. I loved how the chicken was cooked, it has a char grilled taste which added great flavor. I also tried a little of the truffle Mac & cheese. Extremely disappointed in this place. My co-workers and I went there for lunch. I got the mediterranean salad. Everything about this salad was awful. The greens tasted like I was eating them unwashed right out of the garden. The olives tasted old, dressing had zero taste and the chicken was definitely a frozen breast out of a bag with fake grill marks on it, it literally made me want to vomit. Not one burger came out the way anyone wanted. Every burger patty looked like a 20 year old hockey puck that was sitting in the Arizona sun. They asked for pepper jack cheese. They legit got a piece of provolone with chili flakes sprinkled on it. The service was great though. But I will not be going back there ever. read more

In a table of 4, prior to lunch rush, I ordered a mista salad with salmon, substitute feta for the bleu cheese. No other changes. It came with blue cheese and smelled terrible. I asked for a new salad. The server never apologized, and the new salad didn't come out until after everyone had eaten more than 30 minutes later. I had to ask to have it to go. They packed it with a partially full dressing container and it was very mediocre, the salmon was in a pool of liquid. Still never got an apology. Total disappointment since it was a business lunch and I had recommended this restaurant. I'll never make that mistake again. read more

The place was decorated very nicely and I liked how open it was. I ordered a Tom Collins and my boyfriend had a Moscow mule. Neither one tasted like they were mixed very well and just tasted like overly sweet drink mix. We then ordered some food, I got the chicken tacos and he got the philly flatbread. The chicken was very dry and just tasted like it had been reheated and the guacamole was starting to turn brown. I didn't try his flatbread but the toppings on his seemed dry as well. Went there for a birthday party with a pretty large group (16 people). Waitress was not able to handle that size of a group. It took forever to get drinks and the food was average at best... definitely does not look as appetizing in person as compared to the original photos posted on yelp. Also, one person did not get their food. When it came to checks that's was a mess. Though they have the space, I would not recommend for large groups. Met my boyfriend here for lunch. This is the first time I have eaten at the new location, same great service, same great food, way better atmosphere! I really enjoyed my quick lunch. Charlie was our bartender and he is such a gem. Also pleasant to be around! I ordered a coke because its a work day but bf got a fall seasonal menu apple tequila drink that was epic!! Soooo good! Then I ordered the soup/salad pick 2 combo. The seafood bisque is the BEST seafood bisque I've ever had. Literally BEST and if you follow me on yelp, I love my seafood! Huge chunks of lobster and crab, soooo good and real! I also got the Mediterranean salad. One thing I really like about their lunch is their portion sizes, their half salad is still a huge portion and I could have been full on that alone! And it came with like 7 grilled chicken strips (i gave to bf because I don't eat meat). BF got seafood bisque w/ the smokey chicken sandwich and fries. He said it was all phenomenal. I stole a couple fries, very good fries. And all of this amazing-ness accommodated my hour lunch break which had to include walk time. Bravo! read more

We were staying at the Westin for comic con when we asked the bellhop what was a good restaurant within walking distance. He said go to Sausalito. Good food. We got there and were surprised they had a Saturday night Happy Hour for food and drinks! My wife who is a vegetarian, loved the extensive veggie selections. Our waitress, Alicia was not only informative and friendly, but was an excellent server who took great care of us! She got very busy but still made it a point to check on us frequently. She was great, food was great and the owner was friendly as well. Can't say enough about the blackened fish tacos, and truffle fries!! So good! My wife loved the barbecue tofu with rice and green beans. Drinks were great with affordable happy hour prices. Loved the Lucky Leprechaun! We went to a paint nite here for my mother's birthday and since we would already be there and since they had extensive vegan options we decided to eat there as well. This would prove to be a mistake. We had reservations for 5:30. The waitress took our drink orders and 15 minutes later we got our drinks and gave them our food order. After 45 minutes of waiting half our party was served their entrees mind you we ordered appetizers that had not arrived. 10 minutes later another person in our party was served along with the appetizers. An hour later the last person in our party was served. The food was subpar at best. The food for two of the guests was cold and their was a long bone in the fish for the fish tacos. Although the manager was apologetic and took some money off our check we will never be returning. A disaster from beginning to end. read more
