Moonlight Meadery is no exception to this at all and the mead we had with them was excellent. The mead Steve and I had was the Kurt's Apple Pie. As the name implies it was apple oriented and despite that it didn't taste much like a cider. It was mead all the way which made it all the more fabulous. Strong and boozy this mead was great to sit down, unwind and really get into it's flavor features with.

He explained the company in full detail and walked us through the fermentation process. We decided on the guided mead tasting per his recommendation. We liked the dry. But the cranberry, DAMN YALL. Obviously had to buy a bottle to bring home. No complaints on the apple cyser or the lavender lemonade either. Apple cyser tastes like adult apple juice and lavender lemonade is absolutely crisp in the best way, the mint aftertaste is just an added bonus. I'm interviewing this weekend and this just added an extra bonus for moving to Maine. Fingers crossed the interview goes well just so I can come back here.

They had a fantastic selection of meads, live music with a talented duo playing '90s rock hits, and even a nice selection of branded merchandise available for purchase. We also highly recommend the Razz "What She Said" draft and the Mango Unchained sour draft, both were refreshing, flavorful, and incredibly tasty. You might think 5 min...there was only 3 tables with customers. Once seated it was another 10 minutes before our drink order was taken. Drinks , appetizers came out in a timely manner. As fro the main courses a different story. Both my wife and son ordered steak fritz with chimmichuri on top. We waited for over 25 minutes too get an over cooked dry slab of meat. It looked like the steaks were set under heat lamps waiting for the waitress to get the food and deliver. My son could see into the kitchen where the 2 waitresses were discussing something very important with the chef and not getting food out the door. 25 min to get our meals. To top it off there was NO chimmichuri to be found on the beef or on the side. Unfortunately the waitress never checked back so we couldn't have her go to the kitchen and get some. Extremely disappointed!! We actually had to go find our waitress to get our check. I really think 1.5 stars but you can't. Maybe next time we try the bar but reading some of the reviews maybe not. We had a seat at the tasting bar and had a wonderful time choosing and tasting wine and spirits. I love how u can mix and match and try wine spirits beer and canned mixers. $16 pp including a wine glass. We added a cheese cracker plate for $8. Cheese was yummy! Loved it. Attentive and knowledgeable staff. The pours were once ounce and they did feel on the smaller side, and would have preferred a tasting w a bit more but that's just me! Highly recommend, will do the wine tour next time. We had reservations at J's Restaurant which was excellent. Afterwards we sat at a table to listen to the live jazz music.
