He looked at it and said it would cost couple of hundred dollars for a sapphire or something similar; I said ok, however I explained that I was thinking about a particular gemstone. He said he would get back to me and and wrote my name and number on the tiny flip page calendar on the desk. Not the best way to treat a potential customer - but needless to say, no one ever got back to me. As I was leaving three women who were not a person of color, walked in and the short older woman emerged from the back and eagerly went to help them. Way to discriminate- just don't bother! So Klaus created a new design for me that used the materials from both of the original rings and incorporated them into one very fabulous wedding band. The pix I took do not do it justice because the stones are set in this ring purposely to look random. When I described what I wanted to Klaus, he immediately got it and said, "like the stars in the sky" which is exactly what my new ring looks like. Whenever I look at it the perspective is always new and changing but yet it is perfectly balanced always. Also, my ring is extremely comfortable to wear AND it was done in a very reasonable amount of time. Truly, I would not go anywhere else for fine jewelry.
