I will definitely return to the neighborhood location for more beauty!! Glad they're in my neighborhood. I purchased a full set of mink lashes via the Groupon app. This was my first set of lashes and I love them! I was worried they would bug my eyes or feel weird, but I can't feel them at all, but they look wonderful. I can skip mascara and still look like I have long natural lashes. Suzie is really nice and professional and I plan to get a fill when necessary - to be determined when that is. Only bad news is giving up my mascara collection/fetish!!! read more

Erika did my lashes today. I purchased the Group on special - $59.00 for full mink set. Usually this service costs $150.00. The place was nice and clean and they had complimentary coffee/ tea/ water. Bottom line: SERVICE: Erika is very sweet and was a pleasure to talk to. She was also fast and it only took her 1.5 hours. BEDS: I hope they get pillows for under the knees very soon for back support. LASHES: My lashes look great. However, there aren't any lashes added to the outer edge of my eyes. But I know they can't support much weight on the outer lashes though. I would recommend asking for lashes all the way to the edge. It looks more dramatic that way. Overall I will be back! read more

I give House of Lashes 5 stars across the board because I really love their work and its been about 5 days and my lashes are still in tact! Haven't even shed one yet! Leslie is very thorough with her work and it turned out perfect! They weren't too long or too short. She noticed I had some shorter lashes and knew that I gotten them done before, so she used the appropriate size to still make them look natural. My hubby kept looking over at me while I was driving and says "those look like your natural lashes" :) I said that's the point, and he told me they usually don't (I sometimes get them done by someone else and are a little longer). The shop was cute, nothing fancy just straight to the point. Simple, and clean. I mean what more do you need, your eyes are closed for about an hour and half anyway so you don't need to "see" anything anyway! Leslie has such great customer service, she conversed with me the whole time which made the time fly! Kiana is my go-to girl! She is really friendly and makes you feel really comfortable. I've been going to her for over a year and she never seizes to disappoint. She's really good at knowing what style and length looks with your style of eyes. You can feel that she is experienced- I can do a fill (every 3 weeks) and she gets it full in an hour. Sorry to have to write this review! BUT This salon is incredibly unprofessional, after scheduling my first appointment online I received a call confirming my appointment. Minutes after I received a text from the receptionist (Marilynn) asking if I could send a photo of my lashes so they could decide if they would be able to do a fill or not. (It's been 2 week since my last fill) My current lash stylist is INCREDIBLY experienced and has been doing lashes for over 15 years in Seattle she was unable to get me in during the holidays so I thought I'd take a chance on a place nearby my work. Having taken a lash certification myself I know that she does great work. I received a message back saying they couldn't work on my lashes but would do a full set- that surprised me when I asked why I was told that my lashes were clumped. Totally false. There's one little spot where two lashes are a little close together (probably from me crying before the glue was totally dry) but that's it. I was not going to get a full set from a place with mediocre reviews where the lash artist couldn't even be bothered to give me a call and leave me a voicemail explaining her reasoning. I called to ask to have my appointment cancelled- no one answered. I texted and the appointment was cancelled. I own a neighboring business and House of Lashes made a huge mistake by turning away what could have been consistent reoccurring business + referrals form my own clientele. I recommend taking your business to a more professional establishment with a concept of what customer service is if you are looking for lash extensions. read more

Whenever I schedule an appt with Kiana online I get a call about every other time saying Kiana has been double booked and I've been bumped. I need to see someone new or be scheduled way past when I need a fill. I don't object seeing others but the two times I have their skills don't meet my expectations They don't fill in my lashes with as many lashes as Kiana does and they seem to not know how to fill in the blanks where my lashes no longer exist. That was never a problem for Kiana and the one time I saw Suzie. I feel jilted whenever I'm rescheduled because Kiana is "double booked" because I'm never given priority and I feel like I've been pretty loyal and a good tipper etc. I should be able to book an appt online and have that appointment honored. The hair that broke the camels back today was the fact that I booked a 45 minute appt with Suzie (Kiana wasn't available) and that 45 minute appointment timeslot wasn't honored. You guys were trying to pawn me off on someone new and as far as I had experienced last time when you bumped me - green. So, we are breaking up. I want to feel like I matter. read more

I had a similar experience to Maria O. Though I don't know the name of the girl who did my lashes she started off by telling me that my eyelids go over my lash line and that most likely when I get the lashes on they'll be uncomfortable. That's a fair observation and I told her I've had them on before and that I'll be fine. She didn't believe that and said I had been fairly warned and not to complain to her afterwards, but not in a joking manner. I then said well I've already bought this groupon, what can be done at this point and she looked at me like I was SOL. Awesome. I proceeded to get my lashes done by her while being scrutinized for even being there. She made me feel like I didn't deserve to get them on and made me feel like she was wasting her time on me. The only reason I stayed was because this Groupon was already bought and paid for. I was trying to be as friendly as I could with her because after all she is working on my face! I should have written this review the day it happened to give better examples. I'm honestly very disappointed to have to give such a poor review, given that for the last 6 months that I have been going to House of Lashes, The lash artist Kiana has given me excellent service and gorgeous lashes, however I have since been compelled to take my business elsewhere after showing up for my appointment only to be told that they couldn't do my lashes due to a myriad of irrelevant reasons not once, but twice. The first time happened after I got my first set done by Kiana. I came in for my 2 week touch up and was scheduled to see Suzie. Given that I have a physical job and lead an active lifestyle, more lashes had fallen off in that period than they assumed, and I was told that despite scheduling within their time frame, that they could not do my lashes. They also accused me of using mascara on them, when one of the main reasons why I get lash extensions is because I have sensitive eyes and mascara irritates them. The next time this happened (the final time I wasted an hour of my day going to House of Lashes), I came in for my appointment to get a fill by Tiki who had filled my lashes the previous time, 2 1/2 weeks prior. I made a 75 minute appointment given that it had been longer than two weeks, yet upon arrival I explained that nearly all the lashes had fallen off on one eye. Instead of taking responsibility for her sub par "fill" a couple weeks prior that was wholly to blame for my lack of lashes upon return, Tiki started telling me about how a lot of people don't wear lash extensions during the summer. Not only was that strange and off-putting to hear from someone who is working as a lash artist, but her customer service the time before when I saw her as well as this most recent time was miserable. After 10 minutes of making up excuses for why my lashes were in the state they were in, she too accused me of using mascara and eventually came to the conclusion that she couldn't do my lashes because I blink too much...which is utterly preposterous, as I wear contacts and glasses and while my eyes do blink until they're taped down for the lash application, Tiki didn't even bother to attempt my fill. From the apathy expressed by employees who are supposed to be providing this service to the outright disrespect and accusations from the supposed lash artists, this establishment is not worth anyone's time or money. I urge anyone who reads this review not to waste their time. Kiana is the only good lash artist at this shop but even so, supporting this establishment as a whole is a disappointing mistake. read more

These people are completely unprofessional, I encourage you to read other 1 star reviews and the owners nasty responses. There are plenty of other lash places that do a great job. My wife recently made an appointment for tuesday (the only day we have a babysitter for our 1 year old twins). Somehow there was a misunderstanding and they booked her for monday. When they called to confirm, she explained the misunderstanding and tried to re-book. She was told that she was going to be charged for the appointment if she didn't come in on the original time, which was more than likely their mistake. She tried to reason with them and was told this was just their policy. Before should call me, they had charged her card for the appointment. I called and asked to talk to a manager or owner, hoping that I could have a reasonable conversation. The front desk girl was extremely rude and told me that the owner had my info and would call me at her convenience. When I called back a bit later I was blown off in the same rude tone. What could have been resolved easily and them having a regular customer, turned into us calling the transaction in as fraud and getting the transaction reversed, reporting them to the better business bureau, writing this one star review, and my wife will be doing the opposite of sending them future business. I love my lashes!!! I had purchased two Groupon's for lashes one from House of Lashes and one from lets just say somewhere else.... I went to the one in Kirkland because it was closer, but after a week they had all fallen off and looked horrible. I was thinking lashes were just going to be too expensive to maintain. I still has the other Groupon for House of Lashes and decided to take a shot. Leslie does an amazing job! The lashes still look great after two weeks. I would never get my lashes done anywhere else. I will definitely not be returning. I went to house of lashes based on a friends recommendation. I have gotten lashes done several times at Swink and Dina S good Salon and have NEVER had any issues at all! I went to HOL on Friday for a full set of lashes. While my technician was putting my lashes on my eyes were burning. I didn't think much of it because I knew they do burn a bit while getting them done. Once my lashes were done, I got up and could barely open my left eye because it was stinging SO bad. My eyes were bloodshot and burning. The technician said it was normal and would wear off a bit later. I said ok and left. As the day progresses, my eye was hurting more and more. It became progressively more painful and red. The next day I woke up and could barely blink it hurt so bad. I thought I maybe had pink eye and considered going to urgent care to get it looked at. I decided to give it till Monday. It finally got better on Monday but for 48 hours I was in a lot of pain. I couldn't touch my lower lid or my eyelids. My eye hurt and looked like I had pink eye, I thought I actually had an infection. Whatever the issue, I know I am not allergic, I have had lashes several times before at different places. I know people react different to different glues but I was horrified and in so much pain. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else! read more

I left a review on House of Lashes previously, but I'd like to add a new one because I just switched over to their new super VOLUME LASHES! They are ABSOLUTELY amazing! Incredible volume as if you were wearing falsies, but super lightweight and last a long time. I loved the regular mink lashes, but these are definitely a notch up. The lashes are thick, lustrous, and long-lasting. What I appreciated about my first visit was the attention to detail. I was started off with shorter, more natural lashes and eventually stepped up to the fullest, longest available for the most dramatic effect. Aftercare instructions are always thorough and you can always call or email with questions. Leslie is one of the best in the business when it comes to lash extensions. I have gotten lash extensions for years from another place that almost made me lashless. I had thought that there was nothing left to do to have beautiful lashes. But then I got a groupon to a place in Bellevue where the owner of House of Lashes saw clients for a while before opening up her place in Wedgwood. She gave me back my lashes and I have NEVER broken a lash length since! I may lose a few from tears or something in my eye, but never from workmanship or application errors or my own faulty lashes being unable to hold them on. Also, they are not heavy and they don't feel clumpy or tight near the lids. I hardly know they are there. I haven't had to buy mascara since last summer! Everyone compliments my eyes...I mean my lashes....EVERYONE! I feel pretty again thanks to House of Lashes and Suzie! read more

I've been going to Leslie for almost 2 years, and absolutely, totally LOVE her! I have volume lash extensions, which are very light, full and beautiful. Leslie is more like a magician than an aethstician- She gives me lashes that look amazing, a step above natural, but completely gorgeous. The lashes look luxurious and last a long time because she puts them on in layers- a la Kim Kardashian style. I am always getting compliments on my eyes (not my "eyelashes"). The salon is very relaxing, the beds are super comfortable- the time just floats by. Last, but not least, the salon has great hours, there's free parking everywhere, and is centrally located. I've been getting my lashes done since 2011. I have never, ever experienced such poor customer service - until now. I've been going to HOL for about a year now since I moved to the local area and have been getting my lashes done by Leslie, the owner, who does quality work. However, due to scheduling issues, Leslie was not available and I was scheduled with Kiana for my regular "volume lash 60 min fill" on a Friday. After the first day of my fill with Kiana, I noticed a great amount of lashes have fallen off- which is not typical. I gave it another day or two thinking maybe it was just a bad day- but that was not the case. By Monday, my lashes had 80% shed & I was not pleased. I contacted the salon and spoke to Casey who scheduled me for another appointment but said she would consult with Leslie to see if I would be given a discount; 4 days later I got a call from Casey who informed me that Leslie will not be offering any sort of discount since I called 3 days after the fact (I would like to point out, that I called on the 3rd day from my fill- and not after 3 days as I was told). I am extremely disappointed in the customer service HOL failed to provide. Reading the other numerous reviews, it appears that I am not the only one has shared the same, unfortunate experience in customer service. This is my first yelp review ever- and felt it was necessary to leave a review to those who are interested in doing business with HOL, as they do not treat their customers with any sort of loyalty. You may experience getting good lashes depending on the stylist you see, but I am a firm believer that customer service should be priority. Having to pay $70 + tip for a poor job of lashes is absurd and to know they will not take accountability for their lack of quality work is ridiculous. I highly recommend that you think twice, even three times of being a customer here- you are better taking your business elsewhere, where you will receive BOTH high quality lashes and excellent customer satisfaction. read more

Went here with a Groupon deal, the facility was clean and the end result was good...but wow the service was horrible. Suzie spent the first 20 min of the appt telling me how terrible my lashes were and she said it so condescendinlgy, i was starting to feel like i did something wrong! She asked how i wanted my lashes to look then proceeded to tell me how she couldn't do that because of my lashes, this process repeated at least 3 times, ok then why ask? I tried to make small talk with her and she ignored my questions. I asked if my lashes could be similar to hers and she barked at me to not look at her because we were 2 different people...duh. Her conversation was punctuated with lots of exasperated sighs. Lovely. Not sure if she was in a bad mood or mad I was using a groupon. I almost got up and walked out due to her attitude. After years of going here, I have finally moved on. The volume lashes they use are pre-made. If you are getting volume lashes here you are waisting your money and not getting the real thing. This place is very unprofessional, no matter how long or loyal you are to them, they are just in it for the money. After switching salons I now know what lash extensions should look like. She is always up to date with all the new materials. She is well aware that I love the "super glam" long, thick, and curly look for my eyelashes. 2 stars because the quality of work isn't bad, even though it's not great either. my eyelashes start falling out pretty quickly, unlike ones done at other places. The biggest reason for a low review is customer service. They haven't been rude, but haven't been hospitable either. They don't even greet you, ask how you're doing, how your lashes have been since last fill. No conversation initiated on their behalf. It's an awkward silence that I am not used to going into a salon. I got a Groupon which is a great way to test customer service quality of a business. Needless to say, if you're treated as if you're on food stamps and handouts because you purchased a Groupon- the business if not worth it, they have poor values and you are wasting your time. My most recent experience with House of Lashes has been extremely unprofessional and nothing short of a disappointment. I called last Tuesday to reschedule my appointment from Thursday to Sunday due to my work schedule. However, when I arrived on Sunday for my appointment, the store appeared to be closed. Confused, I called and left a voicemail to figure out what had happened and didn't receive a response until I had to call them again about a week later, during which I was charged to $50 no-show fee. Apparently, there was a misunderstanding and the receptionist misheard when I said I wanted a Sunday appointment and instead booked me for Saturday. She told me she would talk to the manager and give me a call regarding the situation. I didn't hear back from them and had to call them back AGAIN. I had to re-explain the situation to the front desk girl, whose name I believe is Karen. Karen said that she spoke to the manager and there wasn't anything that they could do. When I tried to escalate the situation and asked to speak to the manager directly, Karen was extremely rude and said that the manager was currently busy and unavailable to talk to me. I asked her if I could come in person during a day where the manager wasn't as busy or if I could get her phone number to speak to her personally, but Karen was being uncooperative and said that we would be "running around in circles" or something to that extent. As someone who works in the customer service industry, I have never experienced or seen anyone being treated this poorly as a paying customer. What could have easily been resolved ended up being an extremely frustrating experience, and I discourage anyone from supporting this place with your business. read more

I had a volume set done on a referral, and they looked good. Lasted about 2.5 weeks, with a free painful ones towards the inside of my eyes that I had to remove. When I asked the girl about why they hurt, she fully ignored the question and just proceeded to do my fill. My fill unfortunately was horrible. About 1/4 of my lashes fell out in 3 days, and I had to add in my own ardell lash clumps for 3 weeks until I could get them fixed by someone else:( it was painful the entire 3 weeks. Incredibly disappointing as they high end prices for this service ($60 fill). I hoped for better since my friend is always so happy with hers. read more

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed about the interface between House of Lashes and Groupon. It turns out that - although this was not stated in the Groupon ad - there are only certain days of the week when the Groupon can be redeemed. Since those conflict with my schedule, I have not been able to make an appointment to use my Groupon. I tried to suggest an alternate use for the paid value for services that were available on other days, and House of Lashes was completely unwilling to work with me on that score. Buyer beware. Not sure if there is anything I can do via Groupon on this, but I will be investigating; exclusions should be clearly stated on the Groupon when purchased. read more

I have gone to many different lash salons before and none have compared to the skill and service provided at House of Lashes. Kiana is AMAZING, she is super knowledgable on lash cycles and would explain every step she did. She was extremely accomodating to whatever look I requested. I am a frequent customer, coming in every two weeks and booking months in advance to secure Kiana and I don't mind at all. It's a no brainer that great lash artists would be booked in advance so it is my due diligence to plan ahead. I have referred many of my friends here and they all love it! I get my lashes done here about once a month and I'll never go anywhere else! I usually see Suzee but I have had last minute fills done by just about everyone, and they have all done an amazing job. They always seem to stay nice looking for such a long time, especially considering that I am not very careful in caring for my lashes sometimes. At a previous salon my lashes were turning and many falling out within a week or two. At house of lashes my extensions are still looking beautiful(and still getting compliments) four weeks later the day I go in for my fill. Highly recommended this place! read more

I found Leslie through a groupon deal for eyelash extensions at Bellevue Luxury Nails back in August. I had been trekking over to the eastside every 3-4 weeks for fills when she told me she was opening a place in Wedgewood. Now it's less than 10min away! I went in for a fill and loved that it's so clean and spacious. Plus there's no nail salon smell here! She also has awesome taste in music and we always have fun conversations. My lashes are always the perfect length, curl, and shape and I'm always more than happy with how they turn out. I highly recommend Leslie and House of Lashes! read more
