Daren is extremely knowledgeable, welcoming, and passionate about fragrances. He took his time, never pressured me, and made the entire experience enjoyable. I purchased several fragrances and oils, and the quality is absolutely on point. His custom mixes are excellent, and Reef 33 was fire so I had to pick it up. I decided to go with a behind the counter selection, so one of the guys behind the counter asked what type of scent I wanted. I told him I wanted to send that was beachy, yet luxurious, you pulled out the scent that I described to him and I liked it! The scents that they have behind the counter in gold bottles are oil based, so just a few sprays and they last all day. I was happy with the service I recieved and the perfume that they made. When you arrive you take a test to see what kind of perfume category you fit into as a suggestion They even have you meditate for a few minutes in another section of the place to see what pops into your mind and what you are craving in life You do a LOT! We were here for two hours. You even write a post card to your future self and they mail it to you at a completely Random time. Could be tomorrow, could be a year from now. After doing all the quizzes and etc, they hand you a sheet of paper with all the perfume available but they put check marks next to ones they recommend for YOU. Once you get to the perfume wall you smell a bunch of different ones, if you're overwhelmed they give you coffee beans to smell and you can step outside for fresh air. You circle on the paper which ones you like Then, it's time lol. This was extremely hard, but fun. You get to put the ones you picked on test strips and then see how they dry down and etc. And, you have to smell them all together to see if the notes you picked work together I will say, I was in heaven considering I collect perfume and very rare niche ones. And if you are a lover of DIY cosmetic experiences like the birthday girl who picked this for her birthday, you will love it Also, if you are sensitive to perfume, this place is NONTOXIC. We started with a personality quiz, talked about our intentions and the mood we wanted our fragrances to represent, learned the story behind Elia and its founder, and then went through a personalized meditation before exploring different scents. From there, we connected what we liked back to our profiles and ultimately created our own custom fragrances. One of my favorite parts is that your scent is truly yours. Everyone creates something unique, so when someone compliments your fragrance, you know they aren't going to be wearing the exact same one. They also save your profile, which makes this a place I could see coming back to again and again. You might want something lighter for daytime, something completely different for an evening, or a fragrance that reflects a new mood or intention. It was such a meaningful one-on-one mother-daughter experience, but I could easily see this being amazing for a birthday group, girls' day, special occasion, or even team bonding.
