I was helped when looking for eyebrow products and the cashier was really nice cheered up my day.

I walked into the store to buy my wife's anniversary gift, but from the moment I entered, I honestly didn't feel welcome. I'm not sure if it was because I'm a man or because I wasn't dressed up, but I couldn't help noticing that the employees were greeting and helping the women who came into the store while I was left on my own. I already knew what I was looking for, so I spent about five minutes looking around and waiting for someone to offer assistance. When no one approached me, I had to find an employee myself and ask for help. She contacted someone on her radio, but even after waiting more than another 10 minutes, no one came to assist me. At that point, I went to the register and waited in line. I explained to the cashier that I had been waiting for more than 10 minutes and that someone had supposedly been called to help me find my wife's gift, but no one ever came. I even told the employee that I may not have been dressed well, but that shouldn't determine whether I receive basic customer service. I have never felt discriminated against like this before, and the experience was extremely disappointing. Maybe it was because I'm a man, maybe it was the way I was dressed, or maybe there was another reason. Whatever the reason, I believe every customer deserves to be treated with the same respect and attention. I came into the store simply wanting to purchase an anniversary gift for my wife, and unfortunately, I left feeling ignored and unwelcome. read more

Had an appointment for a root touch up with Maria and my experience was great! I asked for no bleach and explained that I dyed my hair in another country while I was on vacation, so I didn't know what colors the other salon used for me originally but Maria really took her time and precision to formulate a perfect color match and I couldn't be any more happier! She is super friendly and explains each process very well, giving that extra comfort of telling you what she is going to do to your hair. I would definitely recommend her. read more

It's an alright Ulta. Standard shop size, some workers wandering around. Felt a bit chaotic with so many customers traversing here and there, but I guess that means it's popping enough that they're getting business before closing on a Saturday night. With that in mind, it felt a bit like a mess in the store. The huge Squishmallows atomizer Cam perfume that I've been wanting to try was bone dry. Lots of mushed and wiped make up here and there. I'm sure they're gonna clean it up after closing and before opening, but those were the battle scars at the end of the day. Another Ulta location canceled my appointment 15 mins before I had to go in and I was frantically looking for another location to do my make up, as I had maternity pictures scheduled. Maria was extremely kind , friendly and she asked a lot of questions to clarify the look I as looking for. I appreciate how helpful she was with some tips and tricks to ensure the appointment went smoothly. I have came to this Ulta before a couple of times when I'm near the Anaheim plaza. Today, I got the Tarte shape tape concealer since it was on sale for only $22.40 since their original price was $32. I only paid $17 since I had my Ulta gift card & the 20% off coupon received in the mail which was a good steal. The service was fast & employee is very nice and friendly even helping me get the makeup item I need. The store is well organized, very clean, and spacious. There is plenty of parking. She was incredibly kind, patient, and professional. Instead of making me feel uncomfortable, she treated me with so much compassion and focused on helping me find the right products and techniques to cover the discoloration. She took the time to explain color correcting, helped me choose the right shades, and showed me how to apply everything so it would look natural. Her knowledge and gentle approach made a situation that felt embarrassing much easier, and I left feeling so much more confident. Customer service like that truly stands out. I used to love going to Paulina for my brows but I learned after a couple months of not going that she is working for the company but not doing brows anymore. Sad day! However I tried to make an appointment to get my brows done and apparently the lady does hair too and she was in the middle of a full color and had to cancel my appointment. I rescheduled and got a phone call day of that she isn't available after 2:30 (my appointment was at 5:20) and she was going to cancel if I didn't come in earlier on in the day. Why have open appointment times and cancel on clients if you really aren't available? Went in today to get my brows done and was very unhappy with the results. I get them done a couple times a year because I'm always afraid of the results being like today's. I had asked for a light clean up because I like my brows on the thicker side. The brow artist Savanah had agreed and said I already had a nice shape and made it seem like no issue at all. Towards the end I realized she kept plucking and plucking and noticed it wasn't just a light clean up. They are EXTREMELY THIN. I had expressed that to her and her response was that she did them this way since thinner brows are trending right now. What does that have to do with what I WANTED and what we spoke about BEFORE the service? I'm extremely disappointed and the recovery of growing my brows back will be a long time. I really appreciate good customer service and a friendly demeanor. I really wish I got the name of the manager; she's blonde and wears glasses. She went above and beyond to help me. This was the worst experience of my life. I am a regular at this location and all of the employees know me. This is the first time I have seen this person. This individual, EROS, was absolutely so rude to me from the second I said hello and asked how they were doing. I hardly said two words to him. He got upset because I asked to switch out a $28 eyebrow pencil for a $16 one and I asked him if I had points and then he told me to press the cancel button. I didn't know if it was the yellow or red button so when I asked him which button it was, he just yelled at me, " I said press cancel!" Thank God there was a store full of people watching this entire ordeal and employees watching as well. I asked to speak to his manager and he ignored me so the girl at the other register called her up for me. There was a line of customers forming for him to help them and instead of helping the next guest while I was waiting for the manager Mary, he stood there, laughing at me and flipping me off, can you believe it? After he invited a guest to the register, he said " you can ignore her. She's just crazy." Pure unprofessionalism and bullying all because I switched out an eyebrow pencil. After I spoke to the manager about him, he flipped me off again and said "F YOU" and then he got in my face calling me names and threatening to kill me. He played victim the second I pulled out my phone to record. Please watch this video so I don't have to say anymore... no one deserves this treatment for shopping at Ulta. I have always come here for help however I did like the attitude I was received with. I saw a worker and she ask someone before me if she needed help. That person did not need any help. Afterwards I went right up to her and ask for help she look at me and said no i actually forgot to go on my break I can't help you but I'll send someone else. I went back to my section and looked over my shoulder and she continued to work and help someone else with their make up. She let her sit down and she helped her found the perfect foundation. I had a feeling this lady was lying to me and was disappointed that she wasn't truthful and lied to get out of helping me. I used to work in retail and I understand circumstances, but this is not OK.
