We've been to OC Perfumes one other time. We had a good experience the first time. This time was a little different. There was a sign on the door to call when you want to come in. UMMM okay. We get in and it reeks of cigarettes. BUMMER. I'm already a little let down. My husband was looking for a travel sized cologne that he could take with him on his upcoming flight. Unfortunately she did not have the cologne he wanted in stock but the owner did offer to order it for him online and have it shipped to the store or we could order it ourselves. She let us know about a monthly subscription we could get where they can send you perfume every month - male or female. The owner was kind and offered to help us find something similar to what he wears now. We were able to find one that was similar and she cut us a nice deal. I asked about the yelp check-in offer (free samples) and she said she would give us some if I wrote a review. So I had to write a review on the fly (I deleted it as I wanted to write a real one) and I had to show her that I had given her five stars. Then I had to read her the review...I was a little bummed about that. Other than that, my husband is getting used to the new cologne and he will have something to take on his trip. The prices are pretty reasonable here too in comparison to other places we've checked out. read more

I think the person who helped me was Layla and she was awesome! My intentions were to get a new couples' cologne/perfume, but I wasn't quiet sure what to get. It was a little overwhelming trying to figure out what I wanted. Fortunately for me Layla was there to help and she is quiet the subject matter expert! This girl knows her stuff and she was able to recommend fragrances she thought I'd like based on my profile. I really appreciate her enthusiasm and excitement towards perfume.
