If I could rate this 0/5 stars I would- IF YOU LOVE YOUR PETS DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE!!!! This is absolutely the WORST Vet experience i've ever had!!!!! And I have 8 pets so I have a lot of experience! Im not usually one to leave reviews but I need to on this one. I went there twice & my siblings also both went, and every single experience with them was terrible!!! I spent 2 hours at this Urgent Care for one of my cats and spent $400+ on my visit just for my poor cat to get worse. My cat is feeling and acting even worse than before I brought her in. All of the doctors sounded like they had literally no clue what was going on with her and decided to start working on her before they even knew what was wrong. Every question I had they weren't able to answer directly or thoroughly. I probably could've gotten 100x more useful help and information from Google. They sent my cat home with a $50 plastic cone (that they insisted she needed to have on for 2 weeks) and It broke within the first 24 hours we got home, on top of that they refuse to give me a refund or a new cone. They also shared my personal finance information with another customer without my consent. I even tried to call them and see if they could resolve the issue a couple days later and wow, shocker, NO HELP! They don't care about you or your pets just your $$$! At the end of the visit I left their office crying and they had the audacity to tell me to leave a good review, so here It is! Thank you for the worst experience ever I will not be bringing another one of my 8 pets back here and make sure everyone I know doesn't trust this vet with their beloved pets. I truly hope this place shuts down because they are not helpful or caring whatsoever about you or your pets!!!!!! read more

They are rude very unprofessional and won't return phone calls when you leave MESAGES yes plural. The person at the desk needs to learn about customer service . When we went to pick up my dog Saki Sunday at the designated pick up time, no one was there. My husband had to wait an hour and a half for someone to show up because I happened to know someone that worked there. Other dog owners were PISSED. One went to the fire department to seek help. No employee nor the manager would pick up their phone and this girl had to come on her day off to deal with obviously angry customers due to no fault of her own. When the manager called my husband the next day, he made up excuses and basically felt his time was worth $10 off. My husband being at work during the conversation couldn't voice exactly how he felt so i called back. While playing phone tag, the manager leaves me a voicemail flat out LYING saying he had a "good conversation" with my husband and that he thought the "discount" was "fair". A voicemail i let my husband listen to. We have called back saying that's not AT ALL how he felt, we have yet to receive a call back. My issue isn't the money. Its the fact no one would have been in on a 90 degree day, even inside, the dogs would have required food and fresh water or a cage cleaning. My dog is an Alaskan malamute, she needs fresh cool water all the time. It isn't about just Saki but about any dog that was left in there on Sunday. Had it not been for me by CHANCE knowing an employee, those dogs would have been stuck there for over 24 hours with no one checking in. The fact the manager did not answer his phone when an employee needed him is utter bullshit. He should have been there to open the doors and deal with the heat of angry customers. Saki will NOT be going back there EVER and I urge you to find another place to take your dogs. The manager does NOT care. His excuse was that he has no control over his employees and that "nothing happened to [your] dog" . If you have no control over your employees then YOU should step up and carry the weight of being a MANAGER and NOT make excuses for YOUR shortcomings. No reviews??? I can't believe that...this place is phenomenal. I brought my cat to All Creatures Animal Hospital, and my cat was downright traumatized. The lobby was huge and loud and echo-y, and the place wasn't cat friendly. I mean, what cat wants some strange dog walking up and sniffing at their carrier when they're already freaked out about going to the vet??? The people at the desk didn't seem to give a crap about my cat. They weren't nice, at all. Not a good experience. House Vets was amazing. The place was cozy and warm and friendly...I felt so good about leaving my baby there for a dental cleaning. Everyone was kind and I could tell that they really cared about my cat. I will bring my cats here without hesitation as long as I live in this area, and will tell anyone and everyone about how great they were. :) read more

I'm new to the area and a friend recommended this vet. I thought they were okay, even though they were very expensive and the office smelled foul. I believe that, in general, you get what you pay for. If the care had been good, then I would've paid the price. However, I got the feeling that they were in business only to make money. They charge for every little thing and they charge a lot, too. I've missed my old vet office since I moved, but I felt that a 45 minute drive was too much, given that my dogs are aging and will have more frequent trips to the vet. The last time my dog got sick, however, they told me they'd have to charge for an emergency visit to see her. She had bloody diarrhea and they told me to wait 4 days to bring her in. Or pay a lot extra. My dog is 12 years old and I've never been charged emergency fee when she's sick. There's nothing convenient about a vet down the street who won't take care of my sick dog, so I called her old vet. They said she definitely needs to be seen and saw her early the next morning. While the 45 minute drive may not be convenient, I've switched all her records back to her original vet. I do NOT recommend House Vets at all. Also, the office smells like cat piss. I was kind of shocked because I've never been in such a smelly vet office since I was a little girl and we took the pets to discount vet clinics. Every time I went in, even just to pick up medication, the office smelled. I worry about how clean the office actually is. read more

I don't understand why this place has bad reviews!!! I experienced the best boarding services!!! I took my dog in for boarding and initially I was terrified because he is not very friendly at first! They worked with him and by the second day I received so many pictures and videos of him playing with the others dogs and staff just fine! It gave me so much peace of mind to get a daily update on Cooper!!! Being away from the country and seeing him having a blast at daycare/boarding was truly the best!!! I have been taking my dog to do maintenance grooming , like when I need help, with my dog, maverick he is finicky, he only likes going to this place, he loves the main doctor there in charge, The doctor in charge she is so so kind to my animals so that is why I would pay more! Here's the deal. Many people have good or decent experiences - some people have horrible experiences - and typically, those are the people who leave reviews. Here's my story: My dogs have been house vets patients for 12+ years. All of them. My entire family uses house vets (upon my recommendation) and have used house vets for 10+ years. Dr Kat is a good veterinarian. About 2 years ago, things started to change. New faces, new protocol and the expansion (they opened a location in over the Rhine). I wasn't as pleased because the service was much less personal than it had been in the past - oh well, that's capitalism. About a year ago, I took my dog, Allie in due to some blood in her stool. Allie is around 14 years old - since she was a puppy, she would often get very very sick - not eating, major digestive issues, etc. luckily, through $1000's of dollars in visits to internists, house vets and medicine, we were able to determine she suffers from Addison's disease as well as a pancreatic deficiency which prevents her from producing digestive enzymes, causing her not to eat. I know my dog well - and care for her well - and have seen what happens when things go downhill. Because of these issues, for the past 12 years she has been on Pancrezyme - a powder which when ingested, aides in digestion. This is a prescription - and again, she has been on this for 12+ years and takes it every single time she eats. I called house vets on Wednesday and asked if they would refill her prescription through chewy ($20 cheaper for the same medicine). They said yes. Medicine was never shipped. Called house vets today and was told that they needed to do an annual exam on Allie. Well, if you're unfamiliar with Addison's disease - it's basically a catastrophic set of symptoms that are very easily triggered by stressful events (like vet visits). I explained this to house vets and reiterated the necessity for the pancrezyme. I got a call from a person named Kamal - who immediately began to lecture me about not having my 14 year old dog in for her annual. I again explained the situation - but Kamal was insistent - saying that it's "illegal" for the vet to write a refill for a digestive enzyme without having her in for her annual first. Illegal? I think not. This was quickly debunked by an internet search to the Ohio board of veterinarians. Not illegal at all. I can't say I was super nice to Kamal - in fact, I was pretty irritated and I'm sure that came through. However (and to wrap things up) Kamal was unprofessional and rude - especially to someone who has used their services for Over 12 years. Kamal ended the conversation by saying "get a new vet" and hung up on me. You can tell how much they truly care for the animals, based on this statement. So, while you may have a good experience at house vets once or twice - it will go sideways, and hopefully you're not in a pinch when it does. read more

I was new to the area and went here on a Groupon purchase for boarding. The people were friendly, and I liked that there was a vet on staff there. So I'd probably be back if in a bind, but my only criticism was lack of communication. I was told I'd receive pics of my dog playing (never got a single one), and I requested that she receive a bath & nails clipped the day of pick-up (no one could tell me if she got one or not when I picked her up). And p.s. my groupon for boarding was for 3 nights & I only used 2, and I wasn't allowed to use the un-used night on a second visit. Idk. I may shop around for a few more places. read more

My dog had a tumor removed by the doctor. She did not send home any medication for pain or any antibiotics when I picked him up after the surgery. I called and asked if I could have some pain medicaiton because my pet seemed like he was in pain. I was told they were out of the medication, or maybe that they didn't carry it any more. They said I could order it online, but it woudln't get if for 5 days. That makes no sense. I ended up going to another vet who did an examination. They could not believe I didn't get anything for pain or an antibiotic and filled both for me right away. read more

The vets and staff at HVFHP are amazing! They truly care about our kittens and work with us to provide them the best possible care. The kittens are greeted as warmly as we are when we walk in the door and I really appreciate the follow up call to check on the kittens when they've been ill. I am also extremely appreciative of the Vaccination For Life program which has saved us way more than we paid!! My dog had an excellent vet in Blue Ash, but I started bringing her here because of my husband and I moved to Anderson. I still like Dr. Kat and some of her staffs, but I will not going back to this clinic again as I experienced the quality of their practice has gone down the hill since a few good staffs left including the lead technician in 2013. They used to contact us always a few days after each visit to check how is the patient doing and if we have any other questions/concerns, but they no longer do so. There's still one receptionist I trust, but if we are calling when she is not in, no one answers the call in a timely manner and getting an answer from Dr. Kat became a challenge. First I thought it would be a temporary issue due to the staff turnover, but I do not recognize any improvement even after a year. When my dog had a series of urine infections that the antibiotics were not working, Dr. Kat instructed us to bring her fresh urine sample for further examination at a lab. My husband left it with a staff at the front desk. He was told that they will call us when the result becomes available, but no word for a week. When we called asking for the status what we found out was that they need us to provide a new sample as the staff forgot to send it out to lab and went bad. I understand that no one is perfect. We all forget. What bothers me most is the lack of good communication & honesty. I do not feel like trusting them for my dog any more. I will bring her back to her previous vet even it takes a bit drive. read more

The Drs and staff at House Vets are absolutely amazing. It took me many years and more than a few veterinary offices to finally find one that I felt always did their best for my animals. I have an eleven year old dog that weighs less than 3 lbs and they always take the time needed to determine the best course of action for her. They were extremely compassionate when we had to have both our cats euthanized within 6 months of each other, and the charges were reasonable. When we returned several months later with a new cat that was a rescue and had a broken tooth, they quoted a $700 estimate to remove one tooth, plus wanted additional fee to clean his teeth. As he was only two years old I thought that overkill. That was the last time we went there, and another vet did the extraction for $150. read more

One of the worst vets I have EVER come in contact with. They do not care about your pets and the front desk and is EXTREMELY rude. This business does not even deserve a star after the experience I have had with them. I have brought my two dogs to House Vets for House Pets and been a faithful customer for almost 9 years and could not be more disappointed with their service. After my dog was kenneled at House Vets for House Pets during one of my vacations, she came home with her ear the size of a ballon because a blood vessel had popped, however everyone in the office failed to acknowledge it. To this day her poor ear looks like a crumbled leaf. Another instance House Vets for House Pets had given my dog a bath and the shampoo they used made her skin had such a terrible reaction that her neck swelled up so bad that her collar was choking her. Yet, after this being their mistake we had to pay for antibiotics and the medication to make my dog better. On another occasion my dogs were in fit club and when we had brought them home one of the dogs was bleeding on her stomach, as well as other parts of her body, and had scratches all over. The vet said another dog attacked her and completely blew the situation off like it was not a big deal. My dogs were just recently taken to get baths. My dog had came home with a chunk of her hair missing on her bottom and puss coming out of a scab because her skin had such a terrible reaction to the soap they used during her bath. Not only was the reaction of the soap near her bottom, but it was all over her body, including her ears filled of puss scabs. The person giving her a bath does not speak English and the office could not even tell us what soap was used on my dog during her bath. They said there 'might' have been perfume sprayed on her. Question: why is there perfume being sprayed on a dog after a bath? So once again we are paying for medication and antibiotics for THEIR mistake. Currently, my dog is at home not wanting to leave her cage or even stand up. It breaks my heart to see her in so much pain because of such careless people. This vet offers fit club, but it is expensive and a waste of money. From my understanding they only let the dogs out twice a day and crate them the rest. Fit club is supposed to be time the dogs are able to run freely and play, but I have walked in on several occasions and seen my dog is in a cage. Not only that, the small outdoor area they have for the dogs is full of feces. I am very disappointed because I can cage my dog at home. The reason I take them to fit club is so they get to run around more, in which is one of the the many services I have paid for and failed to receive. After confronting my concerns with House Vets for House Pets they said to me if I do not like their service that I have other options. This vet is very expensive to walk in the front door and feel disrespected and to feel my money and pets are not valued. They do not deserve my service nor yours. I feel it is important to share my experience with you because we all love our animals and want the best care for them. I guarantee you are not going to receive that at this vet. I have been a faithful customer of House Vets for House Pets for nearly nine years and have slowly watched this business's quality deteriorate at my own expense and my furry friends. These people will charge you ALOT for every tiny thing they do. It seems like every time I go for a check up they "find" something else wrong and charge for it. Ended up paying $500 for them to tell me my dog was dehydrated. Another check up they claimed they heard a murmur in my dogs heart and charged another $300 i of course had no other choice but to pay it, took my dog to a different vet and they said he was perfectly fine and they didn't hear anything. Their Fit Club dog run around area is tiny. It's a small patio covered with cheap-looking artificial grass on top. I looked at a lot of places for day care and boarding and this was the smallest outdoor area of all the places. When I visited there were poops all over the place. Nobody had bothered to pick them up. I boarded my dogs there anyway. My two younger dogs were cowering for several days afterwards. I;ll never know what went on but I do know these dogs weren't happy. read more

However, a month ago I to my cat to board and he came home with kennel cough even after they vaccinated him for it and still wanted to charge me to treat him. Today I took my dog for grooming and the groomer cut my dog in four places and never apologized and still charged me. They were rude and did not even offer to treat the cuts which were bleeding , one of the cuts quite badly. This place has really gone down hill and I will not be going back. read more

I have had the most craziest night in my life. My dog was up all night long not being able to breath she literally could not breath she kept gasping for air so at that point we were like well let try and keep her calm until the vet opens at 7. We make her an appointment for 7 to see the vet which is dog cats she an amazing women... Well we get up to the vet my dog litterally could not breath I thought she was going to die.at that point I thought were at a dann vet and there is no doctor untill 10. Well on the website it needs to say that... It said on there if there were an issue that they would call us. But they never did the receptionist was not helping at all. It was like devastating cause here I'm am sitting at the vet with my dog that I thought was gping to die and there's nothing they can do... Like I didnt think she would make it out of the vet. I mean she was very very sick... I was very disappointed with the vet . like I'm very upset I feel like my dog was the last thing they even cared about. . if Dr cats knew that dog was that sick she probably would have came in... That is a true vet... Never had any issues with her just her team is very rude and I feel like there worrried more about the money than the animals....I will probably have to give her crew a 1 star but we love you Dr cats read more

I have taken my dog for 8 years to HVHP. Over this past year the service and level of care has changed. I use fit club, grooming, preventive care and ill care services. This is the only vet I have taken my 8 year old dog to. 2 years ago I adopted a second dog. My dogs received bathes. My 8 yr old neck started swelling the next day. We take her back to find out they bathed her with the wrong shampoo. This is our fault. We paid for care and medication. Next month went back for bathes and the 2 yr old flee collar was not properly put back on and she chewed it up on the way home. She was ill for the next 3 days. And neither dogs nails were done. Was told I need to give details. The information is in the records but grooming does not look at records. Third time is a charm. My 2 yr received a bathe and 2 days later is has a rash and scabs all over from head to tail. I was told they may have used perfume on her but they had no details. Cost me $118. Most expensive bathes in Anderson township! read more
