Bill had maintained excellent communication with me as the day progressed, as my appointment time approached. He called and texted to keep me in the loop as he anticipated he was going to be running late. It turned out he was right on time.
Communication goes a long way in this industry. I first came across this company on Groupon, and prior to purchasing the deal, I called and the company which advised they would honor Groupon pricing. In the end I paid $199 for 4 man hours. To me, $50/hour was the most I was willing to pay. But was 4 hours enough? Other companies quoted more....
I was trying to get my home ready to rent out. It's 4 bed/2.5 baths. Again, communication is important. When Bill arrived, we did a walkthrough of the home of what I wanted cleaned. He was very direct. What I originally wanted cleaned was going to fall short of the 4 man hours. He advised I can either purchase more time, or he can focus on the trouble areas of the home, to get it to the standard of clean for renting. On a budget, I opted for the latter.
In the end I got 3 toilets scrubbed (hard water stain ring completely buffed out!), the Master bath scrubbed (which needed it badly as hubs and I used this tub to clean up paint brushes we used for interior paint), master shower glass door scrubbed (hard water again was thick on the glass), kitchen stove, microwave and oven cleaned.
Here's where I feel a tad off about my 5 star review. I know it may sound like a lot, but part of me feels just a little bit more could have been tackled. Bill and his partner began work at 230 (2 o'clock appointment, with a walkthrough and discussion of areas to be cleaned). The work was done when we arrived at home after an errand at 415. Bill walked me through to show me the work and I paid him at 430. Basically, I feel work should have continued up to 430. I know, only 15 minutes, but that is actually 30 minutes with a two man crew. Something else could have been knocked out, i.e. the door frame of the glass slider could have been cleaned, as Bill mentioned would have been if they had the time.
Despite that one complaint, this is a good, hardworking company. Of course, there's a small area of improvement, which ultimately I feel is a learned lesson on my part to make sure I'm completely satisfied prior to paying for the service.
