They did such a great job of cleanup afterward that, except for the spanking new roof, we couldn't tell they'd been there. They left no trash or loose nails behind. Robert came out to give me a quote for a new roof. He was very knowledgeable. His pricing was right in line with two other quotes I got. Debbie has been very helpful each time we spoke. Based on them I should give this a 5 star review but something happened! The crew they brought chose to use an area of my yard, behind the shed as their "porta potty"! When I spoke to Debbie about this, she was so apologetic and said she would address this immediately with the foreman, Jimmy. It took an hour after my call, when he was ready to give me the invoice that he even adressed this with me and apologized! 13 nails were left on the ground after they left, not what I was assured- Magnets would be used to pick up any nails left behind! We got 3 bids for replacing some shingles, and this place noticed some other places on our roof that needed attention. The quote was on par with the others, maybe a tad bit cheaper. They quickly repaired and cleaned our gutters for a very reasonable cost. PLUS they suggested that we tell our neighbor too look into an issue on their roof whien they were on our roof. They advised against cleaning the streaks on teh roof too because it would damage our shingles more than helps the issue...can't get more honest than that. They did not stand by their contract nor did they provide quality work has they proclaim on their company website and Facebook page. Housetop replaced my roof in 2006, unknown to me the workers from Housetop did not properly flash the chimney and did not cut the flashing back into the mortar as agreed in their contract which resulted in long term water intrusion. I had two experts inspect the roof only to find out the extent of the defective work performed. When the defective work performed. When the owner Mr. Williams arrived for the inspection on January 15, 2016, he first showed up over an hour late and when asked about why he was so late he was very argumentative. Mr. Williams refused to go on top of the roof to inspect it, he in addition would not provide his Certificate of Insurance when asked and would not place his liability insurance company on notice of this issue. When pertaining to my family and I, he did not stand by his word or work. Only until I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (visit site for more details) did Mr. Williams hire an attorney and that is when I received a response. A new roof is supposed to last 20-25 years and only after 9 years I had to repay $785.00 to fix faulty defective work to the chimney performed by Housetop.
