Eyebrows really impact looks. When I was young (I'm 53 now), I wanted thinner brows, so I plucked, waxed, and did electrolysis as needed. In my early years, they looked great! As a redhead with incredibly light lashes, it has been a struggle to find someone who can dye the entirety of my lashes, down to the root, and get them dark enough that no blonde peaks through. After moving to Cincinnati from Boston a few months ago, I have tried several different salons, and this is by far the best in the area. Mitchie did such an incredible job on my lashes and made everything super comfortable from the time I walked in the door until I walked out. She is personable and very good at what she does. I signed up for a microblading class in July and put a deposit and they refuse to return the $500 deposit to you even if you don't take the course. It is like $2000 something and she sends homework prior. I don't recommend. I'm struggling financially and can't afford the course and she stated there was a wait list and people wanted to take the course but she couldn't call one of the people from the wait list she said. She said she still was going to keep the deposit. I thought I signed up for a different program too and had messages with someone named Mona Lisa on email saying I could use the $500 deposit towards a one day class. I thought it was the same place and Shannon insinuated I was stupid for confusing the two. I heard her voice inflections and I asked her to return the $500 one more time. Shannon who owns it hung up on me when I was explaining my situation and frustrations still and I am going to combat it with my bank bc it is a mistake which place charged me. She told me banks don't do that. I'm going to combat the charge still and she told me I should be embarrassed to tell people about this and I think this is the type of thing that should be shared. Housley is a super cute esthetics service provider. I love self-care and think it's important. I love to get facials and try to go once a month or once every other month (depending on time). What I love about Housley is there open concept and cute, welcoming environment. Their layout is super cute and makes you feel like you're somewhere in a bigger city like LA or ATL. Each service they offer has its own room. My esthetician relocated here from another Cincy location, and I really like her so I followed. This location is clean and offers a variety of services. I specifically go for facials. My facial was amazing! The room I was serviced in was also great and spacious! I was able to relax and enjoy my service. I got a hydro facial with a jelly mask. The hydro facial, hydrates, cleanses, repairs, the skin and cells. I also did the jelly mask. I will say it was super weird at first. It goes on very thick but then dries to a thin layer. It's suppose to cover your entire face (including eyes and mouth), however, I couldn't do that. Lol! I'm claustrophobic and would have freaked out. I low key freaked when she started putting it on. I also got the LED light. Overall, I really enjoyed my facial and experience! I will certainly come back. read more
