Wanted to wait a bit to better assess before submitting a review a though six months clearly isn't long enough in the big picture, for this sort of application but thus far, my experience with both product and service has been simply fantastic! I was in the process of completing our new home build and had epoxy garage flooring on my list of things to include. Nearing the end of construction, everything was coming together quickly; house was near done, movers were scheduled for 6/16, landscaping ongoing, painters finishing up, cabinet hardware yet to be installed etc.... Given the schedule, I knew that I needed to have my garage floor done on 6/15 -OR- after move-in, which meant, probably not ever... I almost decided to just live without rather than exploring what could be done. Could it be coated on Monday and walked on on move-in day-Tuesday being the primary concern. Answer: YES! Don and a helper showed up as scheduled/9:30am process took most of the day, very detailed, more time spent on prep than actual application (a good thing), job was completed by 5p. I was able to walk-on same evening, looked great, an overall marvelous outcome! Now, though just six months gone by, I am so glad that I "squeezed" this last second detail in, as it's one of many, favorite aspects of our new home build. Excellent Communication! Beautiful Work! Friendly Staff! Patty was very knowledgeable. I was happy to hear her go into detail over the phone because it made me realize she was not new at this. I chose this company because they use a superior product (urethane) opposed to the less expensive but duller looking epoxy which I regretted getting in my last house. I didn't realize that epoxy turns yellow so when my last floor turned yellow after 6 months I promised myself I would never use epoxy again. And I'm glad I didn't! I had this floor by Houston Garage Floors installed in 2018 and it still looks good! I wanted to wait a year before I wrote a review just in case it yellowed like the epoxy floor did but it hasn't. After doing my research I settled with this company. The website was very thorough with details and explained a lot. After calling the company and speaking with Patty (owner's mother) for 15-20 mins over the different options I pulled the trigger. A couple of days later Patty was out at my 3-car garage taking a look. Showed me some samples and explained everything very well. There I signed a paper contract and provided 2/3 of the full payment which is required to get things rolling (the remainder is due after services completed). Don (the owner) showed up at my house as scheduled and provided excellent communication of his ETA via texts. Upon arriving he covered part of my driveway with a plastic tarp and parked his van on that. He was very careful to make sure no epoxy or product ended up where it shouldn't. He was at my residence for around 4 hours a day for two days. As I am accustomed to random workers showing up to do the job, Don did everything start to finish. I'm not sure if this is always his practice but I was very pleased to see the person who knows what he is doing taking extra care to do the job right. I opted for the "Option 3" package which is a full broadcast of chips on the floor. This is why it took two days. I am extremely picky with how jobs are done and Don exceeded every expectation. PROs: - Excellent communication - Amazing job! - Courteous owner & mother team - Punctual time - Final product CONs: - There really isn't a bad thing about it all, but if I had to pick something. It would be the cost. Getting Option 3 on a 3-car garage isn't cheap BUT! It was worth every penny as I couldn't have asked for a better job. The final product was perfect with only a couple of mishaps I found - which weren't caused by Don whatsoever. A couple of moths made it into the garage and stuck to the clear coat, which happened the night the clear coat was curing. They were easily removed with EXTREME care and a razor blade. I would do my homework before I hired a company. My family had previously used another company a couple of times but they were busy, so I used this company. The work was not the same. The crew they speak of consist of the owner and a helper that does the flooring, plus the mother that obviously handles phone calls and takes out contracts to be signed. The mother came to my home with the contract for me to sign AND collect one half of the money a couple of days before the work was done. After signing the contract I requested a copy of it a couple of times, but the mother stated that I could take a picture of it with my cell phone. Any questions you have, they keep referring back to their contract that you don't have a copy of. After the work was completed I called them a couple of times asking why they did not paint up the sides of the walls like the other company did and they said I did not buy that package and that this is stated on their website. They offered no alternatives. Their job looks like an unfinished project if you compare the two companies! All I can say is . . . BE SURE TO GET A COPY OF THE CONTRACT IN WRITING BEFORE ANY WORK IS DONE. My floor has spots on it that obviously were not sealed. Now I wonder why I didn't see any reviews for 3 years! read more

if you want an awesome looking garage floor, look no further than calling houston garage floors. i did extensive research on epoxy floor service providers in houston before choosing them and i'm glad i did. first of all, they use a diamond grinder to prep your concrete floor, this takes 3-4 hours, but it is much cleaner and more environmentally friendly than acid washing. secondly, they use TWO coats of epoxy to ensure the best seal and finish. on top of that, they will do another coat of clearcoat to give the floor an additional layer of protection as well as make it look super shiny and easier to clean. the crew that came was professional and meticulous. i highly recommend this company and am very happy with their work. read more

I recently contacted Don at Houston Garage Floors after seeing the work they did at my brothers house. I have an older home with a very beat up garage floor, but this was not an issue. Don and his crew were very responsive to my questions and the whole process involves minimal effort from the customer side, you do not even need to be home. We did have an issue with the first application not drying correctly but as soon as I notified Don, he came out the next day to re-grind the floor and apply another coat of epoxy (this was during the Christmas break too).
