Of course this is December, and of course it's supposed to freeze the following week. I immediately started looking for a heating and air company that had good ratings and one of the first to pop up was Larry's Heating and Cooling. I called first thing in the morning and they were able to get someone scheduled to come out the same afternoon. The technician, David, called when he was on his way. He arrived on time, was extremely personable and professional. He is clearly very knowledgeable and experienced in his field. He diagnosed the problem in less than 10 minutes and took the time to show me what the issue was and how it needed to be repaired. Because he needed to come back with a part to get things fixed and the weather was going to cooperate, we scheduled for a week later when we returned from our trip. The day he said he'd be back, he showed up as scheduled and in a couple hours he fixed our unit. Temps dropped below freezing the next day, but our heat worked perfectly so we didn't care. David did a great job! Great team, very competitive pricing; highly recommended. It's who we will call in the future if needed in the future for certain!

They installed a new coil in my indoor unit in Aug 2022 for $2k+, wasn't cooling and had lost gas…read morein April 2024. They did a service call and said my coil was leaking, sent an estimate for full unit replacement only about a week later after I chased them and asked for a warranty repair - they said no warranty after 12 months. Got a second opinion, the SKILLED and HONEST other technician from a different company went to the attic, 15 minutes later said the coil wasn't leaking, but there was a plastic cap that wasn't tight and had oil residue on it - they replaced and tightened the cap, refilled the gas and everything is fixed for a fraction of the price of a new unit. This is my experience with Larry's heating & air, why I will never use them again or recommend them to anyone else. I gave them an opportunity to explain to me what happened and why the problem was misdiagnosed, but haven't heard back from them.

Patty, Pats wife, answered the phone and Pat and Mike come out that day to help us get going again. Long story short, we needed a new unit. Once the old unit was out of the attic, there were holes and oil from the leak. Pat is a straight shooter. He will fix it if he can and if he can't, he'll be honest and tell you that. They just installed a new York unit for us today which is much quieter and most importantly, keeping us cool. I would not hesitate to call them again for any heating and air needs. I have a service contract with Dalton Heating and Air, and for the last several years, I have had…read moreone issue or the other after they come out and do maintenance. Once, an aged wire disintegrated, it was not caught during a maintenance visit - I had to pay them to fix. Last year, within about 1 month of their maintenance service visit, the capacitor went out - - -( it was not caught during the service.) I had to pay them 195 dollars to come out and replace it. ( I checked the capacitors are $14.00 online.) I had a maintenance visit on 10/29/2025 - TODAY I woke up to no heat - so I reached out to another company because at this point I DO NOT TRUST Dalton Heating and Air - Come to find out that the Schrader valve has leaked out 8 pounds of refrigerant . . . $$$$$$$ to replace it! When I reached out to James W, (I have had several conversations with him, and he has ALWAYS been short and rude), he advised that it could have been caused by a technician putting gauges on and off the unit. Then he repeatedly asked me WHO I had working on my unit. . . . . For the service I have received from Dalton Heating and Air vs the constant paying more for this and this and this. (Because it has not been caught during maintenance THAT I PAY FOR) In my opinion They ARE NOT worth cost.

We contacted him and he gave us a few suggestions to try but also said had no idea what to do and he said he was sick and couldn't come out for us to contact the company who made the hot water heater. So we have been left to deal with the problem he should have dealt with. After paying almost $2200.00 for installation, I feel he should have been a little more concerned with the fact that a family has no hot water. If you're going to be in business you should take care of your customers especially when the problem arises in less than a week of installation.
