Can't remember her name, the dermatologist was blonde, but definitely misdiagnosed my rash as "eczema"... lady I have eczema and when I avoid the food and allergens that flares them up they disappear. But this other rash that's in the same area DOES NOT! So don't tell me it's definitely eczema, when over the counter jock itch cream gets rid of it, but then the rash comes back even stronger... Now that the rash is resistant, which I tell her, she says it's not fungal. Like lady, the cream worked, it's fungal.... Proceeds to take a scraped skin sample and checks it under a microscope for legit what, 20 seconds outside the room, comes back tells me it's not fungal just eczema. You're kidding me! Waited months for this just for you to not even give it a proper fungal test, which takes days, not seconds..... gives me steroid cream after and didn't work like all other steroids creams..... it's like doctors just want to make money off prescriptions and not really solve a skin condition.... Had to pay more money to get it properly diagnosed elsewhere.... In the end it was diagnosed as candida fungal rash :( read more

I had been going here for years. The waiting is longer than the appointment. My appointments were scheduled with different nurses. At one point I was given samples; which triggered redness & burning. The samples were expired, I called several times and no response. I sent the samples back with a letter. They scheduled me for an appointment that I never scheduled. Waited for 2 hours in the office. Dr. Goldberg finally came with a quick "How are you?" I think that was supposed to be a greeting. Looked at the notes and looked at my face like it was a piece of meat. I tried to tell him the reason I came but he wasn't even paying attention. I felt like I have done something or have offended him for waiting for 2 hours. I kept trying to engage him to listen to my problem but his answer was "I can't remove all of them" . What a waste of my time and my insurance benefit. The staff was no different . A simple good morning wasn't even returned . I said "Thank you" but nobody even lifted their heads . I didn't checked out because they will never even know a patient walked out. Never again will I return to this cold and rude place. I felt so humiliated by the way they have treated me. read more

I have been going here for many years. I stopped going for a few years because 90% of the time I had the same experience as everyone else in terms of overall customer service, wait times and bedside manner. Why am I now writing a 4 star review? After dealing with a debilitating issue that started 6 months ago and no relief from visiting my primary care doctor, my dentist, a walk in emergency, Lahey Hospital Emergency and another dermatologist, ultrasound, thyroid tests, blood drawn, allergist, you name it, all with no real specific diagnosis to resolve the issue. Dr. Goldberg walked in and immediately honed in on the problem and exactly what was going on. He was the only medical person that actually touched the areas and palpitated to feel the issues that were underlying. He also said he wanted to monitor my progress and see me within one week to adjust treatment if needed. I have tried to make appointments in the past and they are usually 2 months booked out. I was able to schedule an appointment for 1 week as a follow-up. I am 85% better after only 3 days on the medication he prescribed. Before my appointment with Dr. Goldberg, I had two other appointments with another Derm from his office and found the receptionist people are also very nice and attentive. I didn't wait too long in the waiting room and the wait time in the exam room was approx. 20-25 mins. I really think they have invested in fixing their operational issues but it's not perfect. It's about 80% improved IMHO. They have a "triage" option now when you call and you get to talk with someone beyond a receptionist to convey what you need. I knocked off a star because I called one day and got the after hours answer machine message in the middle of the day during regular business hours. Very unprofessional and frustrating. Another time I called and left a message on their voicemail about making a follow-up appointment after an initial consultation and no one called me back. On another occasion I talked with someone who took a message from me assuring me I would get a call back and neglected to relay the doctor was out for the entire week. I did get a call back 3 days later and an immediate appointment with Dr. Goldberg given my situation. Seems like they are still working out operational issues but the medical care in my opinion is top notch. Dr. Goldberg himself is an expert in his field who obviously has decades of experience. Well worth the visit despite some of the administrative/organizational issues. read more

Right from the getgo, the young receptionist seemed to despise me for the simple fact of my being there. Waited for an HOUR past my appointment time and when I had the audacity to ask what was up, she was so rude and dismissive. I was nothing but polite and got spiteful attitude from her at every turn. I asked what my options were since it was taking so long and she initially said I could make an appointment the next day, then retracted this and said it would take "months" if I chose to reschedule. Made no apologies or even the slightest attempt at professionalism or even basic politeness. The doctor I saw was more of the same. Barely looked at me, had no opinion, had nothing to say and not a care other than the pre-programmed whipping out of the prescription pad for a medication with a steroid I'd had a bad reaction to in the past. She had nothing else to offer whatsoever and couldnt wait to rush me out the door to cash in on the next victim. Spent less than ten minutes with me for all the wait and headache. A tragedy of a healthcare facility. I would not wish this kind of poor treatment on my worst enemy. read more

I think this man is genius. Dr. Goldberg got a skin condition under control for me after I had gone through a half dozen doctors that never seemed to figure out what my treatment plan should be. I made an appointment With the receptionist very nice and courteous I was under impression since it was my first visit I would be seeing the doctor instead it was some nurse wolf. I definitely felt like I was just rushed in there and out she took a couple quick look and said you're fine. It was probably five minutes or less I felt like I was frowned upon because I was asking questions probably generic to her but not me. She had a smirk on her face . Almost like I was wasting her time I definitely felt very uncomfortable i would never go back. Had to give it one star because I can't give no stars. Jeffrey Bonnaud PA-C in Dr.Goldberg's office Located Vinin Square Swampscott, Mass Medical Building is awesome, I went there for a Nail infection he did a biopsy, bloodwork, he had a suspicion of what He thought was going on but took steps to be sure, he called me Personally to give me the Results that confirmed his suspicions started me on the Medication for 6 weeks & Return from my vacation to give the office a call for follow up if I had any concerns call the office, as well I had 4 what I thought were calcium deposits 2 under each eye.. I see (and have for many years) a nurse practitioner in Dr. Goldberg's medical office, and have a prescription for Retin A. The last few times I went to fill it, I was contacted by the cosmetic spa he also manages, to be told that they sold a 'similar' formula available for less money than the prescription, and if I was interested. I was not, I like what I am using, and it works. The last time I asked for a refill, the nurse practitioner herself called and assured me that the formulas were so close, that it would better for me to use the one they sold at the spa. I find this to be unethical to have the medical side call and suggest they don't need to fill my prescription if they sell a similar product on their retail side of the business. Again, I like what I have been prescribed, and will find another way to get more honest, and a less sales-y way of caring for my skin. read more

This was my 2nd time coming to this office. I have warts on my hand. I came last year to get them removed. An associate of Dr. Goldberg scraped them off, and burned the open skin. The warts didn't return for about a year. I just again went to this office and Dr. Goldberg himself did the treatment. This time he froze them. 2 weeks since my last treatment, the warts are already back. They were never removed at the root. Just the surface. So I spent a $50 copay on basically getting my open skin frozen with liquid nitrogen. Fun stuff! Probably not going back here. Warts most often do come back, and multiple treatments are needed. But 2 weeks after a painful procedure, I should not already have my warts back. Not a happy customer. read more

My, my, look at all the bad reviews. And please note that everyone on here is griping for a different reason. I went in for a simple skin check, as my doctor wants me to get them annually. I feel that I was tricked into some minor cosmetic procedures that I did not understand were strictly cosmetic. I understood that the spots on my skin needed to be removed. The nurse practitioner "zapped" two spots with a little device and it took a few seconds. Little did I know that the procedure cost $400. When I got the bill, I called and spoke with the nurse practitioner as well as with billing. I thought we were on the same page. I explained that I had no idea that I was having both a medical procedure (skin check) and a cosmetic procedure. I should have been informed that the "zapping" was very likely not going to be covered by insurance and it was not medically necessary. If I'd been told that it was cosmetic, I would not have consented! Now I'm stuck with this bill and no recourse. I will never recommend this place, nor will I ever go back. I hope that anyone reading this review who decided to go somewhere else costs this practice $400 plus. They would have been far better off working with me, and then I could confidently refer friends. I would highly recommend this practice. Dr. Goldberg did a thorough examination and found something during his over all body check that nobody else had seen. He knew I was upset and he kept in constant contact with me for the entire ordeal that followed, literally personally calling me almost every day. He showed empathy and understanding and incredible knowledge. Had this gone undetected, I could have been in serious trouble. I always take the time to engage with him and he is very responsive. I believe some of these negative reviews are from a few years ago and I feel like the office has really tried hard to fix the problems that were very apparent. Although Dr. Goldberg is knowledgeable his bedside manner is severely lacking. He did not talk to me about what was going on and only referred to his colleague. I tried to tell him what I thought the issues were but he seemed uninterested. Not only that, the wait is INSANELY long. I've had three appointments here where I've had to wait for about an hour just to be seen despite what my scheduled appointment time is. Went here after being referred to by my doctor for mole removal on the face. I have attempted this place two times!! The first time I ended up just leaving before my consultation because even to check in, the lady at the desk was too busy having a conversation with someone in front of me to even bother checking me in. Once I was able to check in I sat in the waiting room for a good hour and waited for what seemed like forever just to get examined. I immidiately went to the desk and cancelled my appointment after it got to the point of waiting too long. So a year later, I decided to actually give this place a try again in hopes of actually being seen. I end up surprised the check in wasnt as bad as last time. I go in waiting to be seen by the Doctor and when she walks in asking what im here for she basically scoffed and already gave a look that she wouldnt be able to do it. Very unprofessional. She told me based on my acne that my skin wouldnt heal well and that i should just go see someone else. Basically told me I should just consider either trying to get it done elsewhere or just keep them. These moles have grown far too large , have been causing me pain and have been a hindrance. So I was baffled by what she had to say. She made me feel very uncomfortable and basicially couldnt do her job. Wouldnt recommend this place at all.
