Went in to buy some Big Green Egg accessories when they were liquidating them out of inventory. Sarkis was super kind and helpful, even brought me a cart so I could load up my haul and bring it to the register. He patiently entered each piece by SKU and had to manually apply the discount for each line item (of 34 items!). He didn't complain, all while directing other customers to his associates and fielding a ringing phone. Service was exceptional, everyone there was super kind and helpful. It's not close to where I live, but I certainly wouldn't hesitate to shop here again. I'd endorse giving Howard's a chance if your are appliance shopping! read more

Unbelievably poor service from the store to delivery and beyond. I have purchased several appliances from Howard's, and this experience was awful. Sarkis was less than helpful when I shopped for a specific size refrigerator. When I went back to purchase a few days later he refused to help me and gave me to another person. Charged me for delivery and door reversal even though it clearly states on the webpage free delivery. See attached photo. When delivered door was incorrect and dented, no shelves for freezer were provided. Now I'm waiting for the shelves, and am not getting any resolution. So disappointed. read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE! We recently bought a refrigerator from S. Zamora. The model we originally wanted was unavailable and wouldn't arrive for 30 days. My brother explained that my elderly parents couldn't wait that long, so the salesman showed them another fridge in a similar price range (around $1,500). They agreed to purchase the model Mr. Zamora recommended. From the very beginning, things went wrong. The salesman told my parents to plug in the refrigerator for two days so it could "set itself up" before using it. They followed his instructions. Two days later, my elderly mother called for assistance because the freezer wasn't closing properly. On top of that, the freezer doors were chipped upon delivery. Other issues quickly appeared as well, the refrigerator's butter compartment flap gets stuck, and the top shelf inside is broken. When my mother called the store again to ask for help, she was told her message would be passed along to Mr. Zamora. However, no one ever returned her call. After waiting for days with no response, my parents went to the store in person. They were told that because it had been seven days since delivery, nothing could be done even though they had been waiting on a promised call from Mr. Zamora that never came. He has refused to help or offer a replacement. This situation feels like elderly abuse. My parents are still without a working refrigerator, and no one at this store is taking responsibility. They've done everything possible to resolve this issue, but have been ignored at every step. This business not only sells faulty products, but also takes advantage of vulnerable people in the community. What they are doing is completely wrong. DO NOT SHOP HERE! read more

I give this place one star because of the gentleman that offered to help in just a second. So.. when I walked in I saw this place was a packed house. I'm joking! Empty as can be. A salesman named Edward asked if he could help me and I asked if they had what I needed and he said no and walked himself all the way to the back of the store and into a back room. As he walked I said I'm not done asking for help, is that all you're going to help me with? Geez!?!? Well so much for good customer service. It's no wonder the store is empty. I recently contacted Howard's Appliance in Alhambra about a Whirlpool double oven I found online and was fortunate to work with Grigor Khzanyan and later Sarkis Agajanian, the store manager. Both were excellent, but Sarkis truly went above and beyond in every possible way. Over the course of a week, Sarkis was incredibly responsive -- even during hours most people would consider personal time -- and consistently patient, kind, and proactive. He took extra steps to help my wife and me that went well beyond what anyone could reasonably expect. It's rare to find that level of commitment and care these days, and it genuinely made a lasting impression on us. Even though this store is a bit out of our usual area, we will absolutely return to Howard's Alhambra when we move forward with our full kitchen remodel in the next 18 months. We plan to upgrade to higher-end appliances, and there's no question we'll be working directly with Sarkis again. Our refrigerator of almost 19 years sadly needed replacing. We previously purchased all of our major appliances at the Sears near Costco before it closed. So, it was between Howard's and Home Depot. We stopped in right before closing yesterday, not realizing the time, and immediately were welcomed by Al Boris (Sales Manager). He took one for the team because most don't buy if they're walking in right before closing. We instantly clicked and the search for our new refrigerator began. I appreciated his knowledge, how he listened to our questions, and made recommendations based on our needs. He is the reason why we chose Howard's and why Home Depot, although less in cost fell short. Another deciding factor was having our new refrigerator and stove IN STOCK and ready for delivery. Today we left with two Tempur-Pedic ProHi pillows, a GE Profile refrigerator, a GE Profile slide in range, and a hood. There was no upselling here... we had needs that we didn't know going in. Nineteen years is a long lived refrigerator and stove. We'll never stray from GE Profile and are so looking forward to our delivery. Bought a Frigidaire gallery at Howard's in Alhambra CA on 4/2/24. Around thanksgiving the ice maker broke and I had a guy from Michaels come by to fix it. Was not able to fix it and I was told that I would get a replacement since it was within the one year warranty. It's now the beginning of January and I still don't have a replacement. Five years ago I bought a Bosch dishwasher, an LG refrigerator and a Samsung oven from Howards. All of them broke down and have been replaced. The install persons they sent out were incompetent and unprofessional. The dishwasher wasn't attached to the counter top and the dishwasher drained through the overflow into the sink. The service persons refused to install the water line to the icemaker. The showroom staff behaved as though I was bothering them and were rude as well. What a remarkable woman, she was able to assist us in getting the refrigerator and TV as soon as possible. Even Tamara N. contacted us to check on us on the day the refrigerator and television were delivered. She follows up and completes the task. She provides amazing customer service and can make a negative situation positive. Without her assistance, my family would probably still be shopping for a refrigerator and television. On 12/10/2024 I purchased a Maytag Washer MVW6239HW for delivery on 12/13/2024 per contract by Sarkis Agajanian who promised delivery without my need to call him to be sure delivery was going to be made by Howard's team and that I must be home to receive the washer.and they would contact me by telephone prior to deliver. However I waited all day for delivery of my washer but it was never delivered per contract on 12/13/2024 even though I was assured by Sarkis no need to call him. We were delivered a lemon machine. We found out after one day of use. If we had purchased this machine at another big-box retailer, we would have had hours of on-hold music, and little to no answers to how to solve the problem. Buying your appliances at Howards's, you get a sales team that you can call, and who can act on your behalf to solve problems. What a difference this makes when you have problems with your machine one day into owning it. The excellent customer service began the first day I walked into the store. Sarkis, the salesperson who sold me the machine, gave me a quote, allowed me time to shop around to find a better deal, and matched the price. At Howard's, the extended warranty we got was attached to the machine (and transferable) and not attached to the buyer. This is a massive benefit if you need to sell your appliance during the warranty period. We also got an amazing deal on financing it over 18 months at zero interest. Way better than any competitor that I found. There was a bit of a problem in getting it delivered at my location (the delivery truck couldn't fit onto my street), but Sarkis (the salesperson) got that solved quickly, with delivery scheduled at the next available spot. When we discovered that we got a lemon machine one day after it was installed, I contacted the Sarkis (salesperson) who jumped into action to ensure that a technician was out to inspect as fast as possible, and when it was discovered that the new lemon machine needed to be repaired, he set up an exchange for the machine next day. There was very little haggling or crying needed to get him to take action to make this right. What my take away from this experience is that it is just as important to get a good company, with good salespeople who will solve your problems (if any), as it is to get a good deal. At Howard's Appliance, you get all the benefits. I would not shop anywhere else! You can be assured that if you buy from here, and there are any problems, you will be taken care of by their superior sales team... Even with a few hiccups, I still have nothing but great things to say about this company. The sales team makes the company the best place to shop. Trust me, do not shop anywhere else, if you do, you'll not get the customer service that you will get at Howard's. Sarkis made this company look amazing. Received sound advice/guidance from Zescky and Sarkis, and I greatly appreciated them making sure I was aware of all eligible rebates and special offers. Be sure you check your warrenty to make sure it is actually a 5 year and does not run concurrent with the manufacuter warrenty. I purchased in 2019 a 5 year extended warrenty and now the unit is malfunctioning and I need to pay out of pocket for something that should be covered. Very Very poor service. read more

I recently visited the Alhambra Howard's Location to view laundry sets as advertised on ads. I had a pleasant experience with the help from Edward (Assistant Store Manager). It was really great experience and the last time I went to buy appliances was from Sears. I would recommend coming by Howard's and asking Edward for help on finding your next appliance. Walked away perfectly satisfied after visiting Howard's on two occasions. For our first visit, we were able to purchase an over the range microwave oven to replace a broken one. Pretty sure we got the best price since the salesman happily agreed to match the lowest price online for the same exact model. For our second visit, we checked out washing machines since we were having problems with our current one. It turned out to be a clog issue rather than a mechanical issue so there was no need to purchase a brand new one. During both trips, we appreciate the relaxed, no-pressure atmosphere. The salesmen entertained and answered all of our questions without feeling salesmen pressure to buy from Howard's. Also, we really appreciate the online price match! Don't forget to ask them to match the best price online. Why just 4 stars? Although I prefer the smaller size of the store when compared to much bigger retailers, the smaller size also limits the amount of merchandise that Howard's can put in their showroom. When buying an appliance, I cannot just look online and make the purchase. I have to see the actual item up close before I can open my wallet. read more

Hopeful - I had attempted a large appliance purchase from Best Buy, and the machine was faulty, had to go through a ton of customer service agents, repeating the issues over and over to finally get to a point where instead of an exchange, I decided to return for a refund and try luck with another business. I called Howard's and to my surprise, a person answered the phone right away and gave me very clear info and honest recommendations about the products I asked about, even explaining the inventory and timing expectations and how to optimize. There was no upselling or taking up my time, just simple and friendly. That interaction gave me the confidence to give them a shot with this order. The next day I received detailed and prompt scheduling correspondence with someone, it just felt way more personal than the whole Best Buy chat/call nightmare. Delivery technician was courteous and removed shipping materials and took with him when he left. Refrigerator looks nice in the space and matches existing appliances perfectly. I stopped by the other day to look at their inventory to compare models and prices for a refrigerator and laundry machines. While I was browsing, two salesmen checked up on me every now and then to see if I needed help. They do have a great selection and a good price range. Turns out I couldn't purchase that day because I needed to confirm measurement and if I had a few required items that were needed in order to have laundry machines installed. The salesman that I spoke with wasn't the best in terms of sales tactic and attitude. He kept asking what nationality I am. Perhaps he wanted to see if we speak the same language but I insisted that I can only speak English with him. What gave me a small heart attack was that he was going to charge me for every little thing. For example, if I have stairs, he was going to charge me $200 additionally because two men during delivery won't be enough. He was going to ask for four men during delivery. I asked the salesman "for 18 steps going straight up to my apartment?!" He verbally gave me a quote of over $300 for accessories that's "required" for laundry machines. I was overwhelmed with all the additional prices he was giving me. At this point, I decided to go to another place. Although I did not have the best experience during quotation with the salesman, it's still a great place to check out for appliances. My mom wanted to purchase a refrigerator so we went to this location for her last one was purchased here. We went right around opening so there were no other customers inside. It looked like the staff was having some meeting. As we walked by the counter, I told them that we were looking to purchase a refrigerator, and one of them said to take a look and he'll be right with us. We went over to the area and checked out what they had. We waited for a bit and the employee came over. First of all, if you want a customer's business, I would think they would be more important than a staff meeting. The guy that came over didn't even seem to want to help us. We left without purchasing. I did call their outlet in Pico Rivera and that guy was more helpful. We will be going there to make our purchase. read more
