Absolutely terrible experience. Our salesman was Jesse and he sold us a dryer and let us know that it would be on backorder and get to us before Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving comes and goes and still nothing from them so we finally called to speak with Jesse. He had no news for us and then when he finally got an update on when we would get our dryer he told us that we were not guaranteed to actually get our dryer a month later. this would be three months going on with no dryer. He was very rude and I felt very taken advantage of. We found the same dryer that same night in stock and bought it within 20 minutes for a cheaper price. It was absolutely terrible customer service and would not go here or recommend Howard's. How do you sell somebody a dryer without guaranteeing that they get the dryer? How do you sell somebody something without actually ensuring that they get that? read more

This is a 0 rating but unfortunately, we have to leave one star. I truly wish yelp would fix this part of their app for businesses like this particular HOWARD's TV and appliance in Riverside. We have been shopping and researching refrigerators for quite some time so we knew what we wanted to look at. Upon entering the store, we were not even greeted there were three men in there working, one gentleman sitting by the front door at a desk helping customers, and the other one was walking around, helping another customer with refrigerators and the third just sitting at a desk! At this point, we must've been in the store for roughly 15 ish minutes and still was not asked if we needed any help or told somebody would be with us shortly. It was as if this one customer that was being helped was the only one that mattered. as if we were invisible. At this point, my husband asked the guy sitting at the desk for help. He came over and kindly said he would have to get the other gentleman that was helping the other lady. What a joke this place is. Zero customer service skills. The sales person with the knowledge of refrigerators could have said something to us, rather than just act like the other customer was the only one that mattered in the entire store. I called to see if they carried the brand I wanted and Dennis was very nice. When I arrived Jesse greeted me. He didn't listen to what I wanted and was very pushy. When I told him I needed to call and discuss a different brand with my husband he not only hovered, but continually interrupted my conversation. Speed Queen isn't a 1960's drug band. But if it were, I bet their music was groovy. This day in age, Speed Queen is a brand I hear about over and over again. Fifteen years ago when we were in the market for a washer and dryer it was Speed Queen we were encouraged to buy. Five years ago when the washer in our back house was on its last leg, the repair tech suggested Speed Queen. Two months ago my Maytag washer started showing signs of failure another repair tech spoke highly of SQ. And when the coin operated washer at one of our Riverside properties died, the repairman there also recommended SQ. Now that I think about it, the washer and dryer combo I grew up with was, you guessed it: Speed Queen. As a child I remember putting those machines to the test, we were always doing laundry and I don't ever recall them needing repair. Before I was a homeowner I did laundry at a local laundromat and it too was equipped with Speed Queen. I see a pattern. Built so you can do laundry for 25 years, it says so in their marketing materials. We replaced the Riverside washer with Speed Queen. We're tossing around replacing our South Bay homes with Speed Queen. I'm wishing I could find a Speed King to grant my wishes because these machines are priced just shy of a King's ransom... Pizza King won't suffice. I'm no laundry princess but I'm guessing the Queen is going to make her appearance here very soon. I'll eat cake just before laundry day. No crowns in the cycle please. I ordered an LG dryer online from this place for my grandmother and on the next day I get a call from manager Armando Padilla saying that the dryer I ordered is out of stock and that he would replace it with a higher priced Samsung model, but would match the price. We agreed and the delivery date was set. Then the next day he calls again, and says that the price for the Samsung did not include the hose, the electricals, and all the accessories so I'd have to pay an additional $100. Honestly have hate dealing with this company after them causing issues with installation. Took two weeks to get a hose replaced and they had to do it twice over because they brought me a broken hose when they came to replace it. On top of that, there's a hole in my wall for my pipes, the cover was installed improperly so it just sits there dangling. Find a better company to do business with, one that ensures they do it right and don't send people who will half a** the job not once, not twice, but three times! read more

Our friendly Local Midway Home Solutions store was sold to Howard's with the promise that all warranties would be covered or refunded, as our Midway contract stated, by Howard's. Now that I've contacted Howard's to refund my unused warranty purchased from Midway, they refuse to honor the refund. Worst customer service ever. Bought a Bosch refrigerator on 9/27 and it was delivered on 9/29. We used the 18 months 0% financing deal. The buying process was quick and easy, as was the delivery. This review is for Taylor's Appliances, now owned by Howards. I say this because if you call Howards, they will not direct you to the Riverside store, but to Corona. Nevertheless, if you were a fan of Taylor's (as I was, since 1989), take heart. The staff of Taylor's is still there. Dennis was able to access the dimensions of the freezer I had bought (and that died in the heat wave in a hot closet) and to guide me to the best replacement, including specific dimensions. I was able to find the best choice for me thanks to Dennis. He said it would be delivered the next day. Here's where the kudos to Howards comes in. The freezer I ordered was in Pico Rivera. They sent me a text that evening, advising of a window of 1-4 pm the next day. At 1:05, I received an automated call that they would arrive in 10 minutes. They did, and they completed a difficult installation in 10 minutes. So, win-win: the staff at Taylor's -- the delivery of Howards. read more
