They performed a decontamination wash, clay bar, two step paint correction and then applied two coats of GTechniq ceramic coating to all external surfaces, glass and wheels. I found Howie's Auto Detailing on Yelp, then checked out his Web site. I was impressed that the site listed all the procedures in the detailing process. We then spoke on the phone for a bit and we were good to go. The next morning Howie drove to my house, surveyed my car and told me even more about the service he would provide. I then handed this stranger the keys to my 6 year old BMW X5 and off he drove, leaving his car in my driveway. Late that afternoon he returned with my car looking showroom new, inside and out. Recently I was out of the country for a few weeks. Apparently we had torrential rains while I was gone and I arrived home to approximately 4 inches of water on the floor of my Jeep (apparently this is a common problem with Wranglers). I wasn't sure what to do, but I had heard great things about Howie's Auto Detailing, so I called and Howie said to bring it right down. My experience with Howie and his business was A+ throughout the whole procedure. He gave me an estimate and told me how long it was going to take and that was exactly what happened. No upcharges later on, no additional time needed. He also dealt with the insurance company appraiser and was very helpful throughout the whole process. As far as the work itself goes, what he did was nothing short of miraculous! Because I had been gone so long and the Jeep was sitting outside, mildew had started appearing on the carpeting and I was sure it was going to have to be replaced. Instead, he cleaned and dried the carpets as well as the entire inside of the car as moisture was affecting everything. When I picked up the Jeep I was absolutely stunned! It was cleaner than it had been when I brought it home from the dealer's!! Howie, I can't thank you enough! My sick dog urinated in the back seat. The smell was so bad especially when the sun heated up the car I wanted to sell it. I can't tell you how nauseating it smelled. It was 2 months of hell. I tried to get the smell out myself by buying urine enzyme products but that didn't work. I took it to the dealership to get detailed and deodorized but that only masked the smell for a couple days. Other detailers suggested I buy new back seats. All I can say is Wow! I brought my 2008 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon in for a long overdue cleaning. I usually do a spring clean out at a spray yourself car wash, but I decided this year I didn't have the time and couldn't really get the car as clean as I wanted it. I had also just purchased all new mats for the car and didn't want to just throw them in on top of the years of filth. I met with Howie and he gave me a price. It was higher than I was hoping for, but he assured me I'd get my money's worth. When i picked up my car I felt like I was driving it off the showroom floor.
