The results at the end of the project were exactly what we had envisioned - it's super clean, smooth, and exceptionally well done. What really made them stand out from all of the other quotes we received for this project was the very detailed quote, the quality of work we could see in their previous jobs (yelp reviews), and most of all the quick responses/communication. They didn't just remove my old concrete and pour new, they actually helped move and adjust parts of my sprinkler system in multiple locations so that not only would it not get damaged, but would be accessible when I need to repair/move it in the future. That level of care and attention to detail isn't something you will find with every company, and I really valued it. They worked efficiently, always arrived on schedule, and communicated clearly throughout the entire process, so I was informed at every step of the way of what was happening, and what to expect. They removed old, water-stained paver bricks from…read moreour front entry atrium and replaced them with new pavers, seamlessly tying into existing brickwork for a superb look. Another project we had was to remedy an efflorescence-stained faux rock wall resulting from an ill-designed waterfall feature put in by the previous owner of the house in the front entry atrium. Otelio, the Veliz Masonry owner, contacted the manufacturer of the faux rock wall and discovered a staining method that could be used to bring back the original colors and luster of the damaged wall (see photos). They did an absolutely wonderful job of restoring the wall to its original beauty and we couldn't be happier with the results, which exceeded our highest expectations. Finally we had Veliz remove about 120 lineal feet of loose or damaged brick capstone off of retaining walls in our back yard and replace them with a high end Sonorastone flat wall cap (see photo). Again, Otelio and crew did a masterful job of installation to greatly enhance the beauty of our backyard. Otelio, his sons Manny and Diego, and his brother Gerry, were the crew who did all of the work. They performed in a highly professional manner and paid attention to every detail to ensure a super high quality job. Prior the starting the work they meticulously prepped the work area to protect against damage and were very conscientious about cleanup as the work progressed. They kept to the work schedule, showing up on time each day and putting in a full day's work with excellent communication throughout the duration of the project. It's refreshing (and rare) to find such a great contractor that is so attuned to the customer's needs. Veliz Masonry is the real deal and are honest, courteous, hard-working and very talented in their trade, providing a superior product at a fair price. He sent workers to my home on a Tuesday without any prior notice, and they told me they would return on Saturday once I had the sealant ready. Saturday came and went, and no one showed up or contacted me. He ignored my calls and messages afterward. To make matters worse, they didn't bring enough cement for the job and started using my own bricks to fill the space without asking or discussing it with me. This showed a lack of preparation and professionalism. Based on my experience, I would not trust what he says. He will leave you high and dry with unfinished work and zero communication. I now have to hire someone else to fix and complete the job.

Eduardo was quick to respond and knowledgeable when he came to give the estimate. The pricing was incredibly fair. It was a 2 week project that included removing the invasive Brazilian Pepper tree growing out of the original retaining wall, removal of the wooden fence and old retaining blocks, a new retainer wall, a property wall, a retaining planter, leveling off a slope and replanting my dying lime tree. Luckily we didn't have any landscaping done and they got rid of all the weeds and tilled the soil also. I cannot recommend E.L. Landscaping enough. In early 2023 I used Palu Concrete Construction to resurface the sidewalk and driveway ramp and I…read moreREGRET using this company because of the AMATEURISH work they do. 1) After the new cement was poured on the sidewalk and driveway ramp and it was still wet, they did not use yellow caution tape or anything as barricade to keep people from walking on it while it dried because he did not have any. I had to use my own rope for the barricade. 2) In the last several months, I noticed that the cement is chipping/breaking off in different areas of the driveway ramp (even though my family park our cars in the street and rarely use the driveway ramp) and there is one hole in the sidewalk! When I called to ask David, the owner, why this is happening, he said that he did not know but he used good cement and did a great job. I then asked him to come to my house for an inspection but he said that the warranty is only for 12 months and he refused. He never provided me with a written receipt because he was out of them at the time. For verification, I spoke with another contractor, who informed me that the hole and the chipping are likely due to not thoroughly mixing the cement, which can lead to lumping/clumping in the cement mix. See attached pictures. 3) David did a horrible job of reinstalling the red bricks on one border. They are noticeably crooked and uneven compared to the rest of the original bricks, which were installed about 30 years ago. See attached pictures. For comparison, I inspected my neighbor's sidewalk and driveway ramp, which was done by another contractor about 4-5 years ago and I did not notice any chipping, cracking or holes and the overall workmanship looked very professional compared to the work done by this amateurish company.
