Do not go to this location…read more I had one of the sketchiest customer service experiences I've ever had here. To keep it short, my wife and I arrived and purchased two rides. My card was charged, but I was then told they couldn't see the payment on their end and refused to let us ride unless I paid again. The first charge had already processed, and I even showed them my bank statement, but they wouldn't accept it. Since it was my wife's birthday and we didn't want to ruin the evening, I paid a second time so we could ride. Later that night, I lost my wallet. Thankfully it was found, but when I got it back, the $200 cash that had been inside was missing. I know it was there because I originally tried to pay with cash and was told they only accepted cards. When I brought these issues to Phillip, the manager, he was dismissive, rude, and took no accountability for the situation. As for the duplicate charge, they denied any responsibility and refused to refund it, despite the charge clearly appearing on my bank account. I ultimately had to dispute the charge through my bank, and after more than a month, the dispute was resolved in my favor. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend staying away from this business.

The spotter was on point and I was able to go as fast as the car would allow. I certainly missed my calling. HINT: The #2 black and gold car was hauling a$$ all day. Get that one if you can. Absolutely one of the best experiences I have had…read more I went up to the track with my dad and a group from his company. We joined the other 27 future race car drivers in our driver-training meeting in the media center at Texas Motor Speedway to get our instructions and safety lessons. We were met by Kirby (aka Big Block), who taught us the ins and outs of what we were about to experience, and how best to safely speed around the course. When we went outside, we were suited up, given a helmet, and we made our way to pit wall where we were paired up with an experienced driver who was going to take us around the track at 165 mph for a few laps. The ride-along was a blast. You really get to experience the stress that is put on your body going into a banked turn in a stock car. How the pros do that going 30-mph faster for 400 miles is absolutely beyond me. It was then our turn. Big Block had taught us that as long as we follow the line of our pace car, and keep a 3-car length following distance, then they will go faster, and therefore we can follow going faster. Unfortunately for my first couple laps we got caught behind someone who wasn't quite comfortable with the 600-horsepower they were controlling. But after we passed them (safely of course), we really opened up. Each lap I got faster and faster, and topped out over 135mph! It was incredibly fun, and the staff there really makes the day enjoyable. Everyone who I met not only loves their job, but makes you love the whole experience. You really get an appreciation for what the NASCAR guys do week in and week out. I really recommend anyone to have this experience.

This was one of the most disappointing customer experiences we've had, not because of a rule--but…read morebecause of how it was handled. Our six-year-old son loves racing. He's been racing regularly since early November at another Andretti location and has already been officially verified as meeting the height requirement for the junior track. We came to this location excited, with family in town, expecting the same consistency. Instead, he was denied access based on a manager's visual guess from behind the counter. No one measured him. No policy was clearly explained. No customer records were checked. And the manager refused to even come out to engage directly. If height requirements are about safety (which we fully respect), then they should be enforced objectively and consistently. Guessing from a distance is not safety--it's laziness and poor leadership. What made this worse was the complete lack of empathy. Watching a child who loves racing go from excited to confused and disappointed--without explanation or care--was heartbreaking and entirely avoidable. The Andretti name stands for precision and professionalism. What we experienced here was the opposite: disengaged management, inconsistent policy enforcement, and a total breakdown in customer experience. We didn't ask for special treatment. We expected competence, consistency, and basic respect--especially when dealing with kids. This experience ruined our visit and seriously damaged our trust in this location. Until Andretti addresses these leadership and operational issues, we won't be returning--and we'll think twice before recommending it to other families.

Yes, my loving wife got me the Rusty Wallace Racing Experience for a Christmas gift. We were…read moresupposed to do it here in Corpus Christi TX, but it got cancelled. For the inconvenience, they gave me 5 bonus laps for a total of 15 to do it in Kyle TX. at the Central Texas Speedway. I had scheduled it for Sat, but it got rained out, so they let me re-schedule it on Sunday, not a problem. Finally the day came. My scheduled time was for 12 noon. Because of all the rain, they had to dry the track. The fun was supposed to start at around 8am, but didn't start til around 11:30am. We got there around 10:30am and had to wait till around 4:00pm when it was my groups turn. We didn't mind the waiting, it was a beautiful day. I also did the ride along. Having a real driver take you around the track like it should be done was COOL!! He ran it to win I thought. Then it was my turn at the wheel. There was 4 of us on the track at the same time. 2 people only purchased 10 laps, and I had 15 and the 4th had 20 laps. Plus the ride along cars came out on to the track also. What made this a NEAT experience was, we had an ear pad type speaker in the helmet. So, a spotter was constantly telling every driver how they were doing, or if they needed to move down and let the other car pass. The only time I had to move down was when the ride along cars were coming thru. I lapped the field, THAT WAS WAY COOL!!!, not that we were racing, but it made it fun!!! Larry and his crew did the best they could do because of the weather. His crew was very polite and answered any question you asked. Larry's safety class was great for the first time racer too. He goes over the basics well, and he also makes sure you know what you need to know. All-in-ALL I would rate the Rusty Wallace Racing Experience a 10 out of 10!! I bought the video too.
