Was scheduled to race with my dad last August they canceled and never rescheduled. They said pick another place only one place is close to me but we can't go on its date a year later because I started a new job. They said only way to get money back is to sell them to someone. I've been a race fan all my life, and love going to the local dirt tracks. Took the sprint car class yesterday in Terre Haute. I walked up to the trailer, and everything from that point forward was AWESOME. Class was well done, Bob our instructor did a excellent job, I felt very confident getting into that car, and was well prepared for what I was about to do. I had a great time on that track doing laps, and getting better with every lap. Pit people, spotters everyone was excellent. What a fun, cool experience. If you've ever wondered what it's like to drive a dirt track race car these are the people to contact. Everyone there made sure my ride was awesome. No doubt in my mind I'm coming back and doing this again, and telling all my friends to come with. Again great time, super fun, thank you very much. I drove the UMP Modified at Devils Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, TX. I had an absolute blast! I was a little nervous reading some of the negative reviews before hand, but once I got there, all the staff and instructors/spotters were very courteous and professional. The car and track were in excellent shape. Listen to your instructor and spotters! Pay attention and you won't wreck and have a bad time. Also, it may help to schedule your experience early on in the weekend, as the cars are in the best shape before everyone starts beating on them. read more

Living in Indiana, it's almost criminal if you don't love racing! We have been to every type of racing as spectators for over 40 years! When I found a chance for my husband and twin boys to participate as drivers on the Action Track in Terre Haute, I was so excited! I purchased the dirt track experience as Christmas gifts for them last December. The wait was well worth it! The experience exceeded all of their expectations. The Wallace team was professional, courteous, and educational. The instructor did a fantastic job describing how the car would handle and what to do in particular situations should they arise. These folks went over the top in making sure safety was #1. I can't say enough about the bond created between a Dad and his boys! read more

ZERO COVID PROTOCOLS! STAY AWAY! Review of Kenny Wallace Dirt Racing Experience Pending review Lernerville PA... this was an absolute abomination of COVID protocols. They shoved a bunch of us in a tiny room for instruction, shoulder to shoulder, and only 4 of the 13 people were wearing a mask. Their instructor was not wearing a mask and went as far as to say he 'doesn't believe in it' They claimed helmets would be sanitized after each use... so when I got my helmet, I assumed that was the case. I was appalled when I was done and told to just put it back in the helmet pile... and the next group came in and re-used the helmets my group had just taken off. No cleaning at all! Literally made me sick in disgust knowing that I had used a helmet that dozens of people had used earlier in the weekend. The guy who belted me into the car... no mask, and his face was literally right in my face and he leaned into the car to do belts. The check-in girl... no mask... and she's face to face with 100's of people a day to check them in and put on a wristband. The entire event had signs "masks must be worn at all times", yet literally 80% of the people were not wearing one... majority of the attendees were country folk as you might expect. Last but not least, they didn't have any HANS devices. The worst thing you can do is put a heavy helmet on, harnessed into a car... and not have a HANS. If you hit a concrete wall, that's instant whiplash... or worse. Someone in our group did go nose first into a wall, luckily was okay. Also, don't believe the scheduled time they give you. I arrived 30 minutes early as instructed... and then sat around for 1.5 hours. My whole thing started an hour late, and then there was another hour of sitting around after instruction. To a certain point, it's not their fault if cars get wrecked or break.... but also, bring extra cars to account for that. Bottom line is don't plan anything for right after... it's unlikely you'll get out of there on time. read more

This was an awful experience. My husband and his son were scheduled for 10AM and didn't get to race until 1PM because there was only 2 mod cars and one kept breaking down. Oh my gosh....they were the biggest pieces of junk cars! The black 25 had the right front wheel bouncing so hard I thought my husband was going to wreck because he was pushing it more than other drivers. Seriously those cars are slower than my husbands 2015 stock Chevy truck. I guess it was still fun watching them 'sort of' race, but the spotter slowed my husband down to tell him to come in cuz his tire was flat. Um try worse than flat....dangerous & unsafe. I 100% believe Kenny or Rusty Wallace would be embarrassed if they went out there and their name was on any of these cars or trailers. I hope they can get the 'True Experience' one day, cuz this was a joke! read more

Worst experience ever, for the second year in a row. After multiple times of them rescheduling me, I get there for my 5 o'clock class at 430. They are running late. I waited 4 hours to get to race and when it's my turn, I'm told that they don't have enough tires for me to race. Worst waste of money, a huge unorganized mess. If you wanna drive 20 mph on dirt after waiting for 4 hours, this is the thing for you. What a joke. read more

Ok here is the full story and why I will not recommend or use them again. Purchased experience as a Christmas present for my son via Groupon in Dec. He booked the experience at track on Sunday 23 June his birthday was 21 June. I drove in from Ohio to celebrate birthday and watch him race as well. He had been looking forward to this for 6 months as well as me. Online he picked a time and type of vehicle based on what was available via Kenny Wallace experience site. Time 2 PM driving big block modified 15 laps. Arrived at 1:30 as instructed signed in and I pre purchased a 53.00 photo plaque. Told to wait behind trailer for person to get group approx 11-12 not sure for safety brief. Brief finally took place around 2:25. Most of briefing was trying to sell more packages not using Groupon. Not cool if you haven't even experienced what you already paid for. After briefing son went to waiting area to get dressed in gear. Now 2:55 not enough gear nobody helping get fitted. I complained at 3:30 as he still didn't have gear to race and the were sending 3:00 folks over was a free for all. Some waiting for gloves or boots or helmets etc. Nothing was being cleaned just passed from driver to driver. Some were wanting to use own gear just so they could drive not allowed. Was told by girl at check-in there was a death last year and equipment requirements changed reason for problems. I stated this was last year. At 4:17 son finally gets in car. Drives one lap very slow comes around lap 2 even slower and pulls off track. He is helped out of car and then left standing alone. I call him over stated they called him back because shocks or struts were bad. Nobody could tell him when he could get into another car. This is now 4:30 we left his house at 12:00 they have not tents or shade nor water for racers unless purchased for 2.00. He is exhausted and pissed. There are still at least 3 other racers from 2:00 that haven't raced yet. If they knew of problems why allow walk ups. $$$$. Went to get refund the couldn't. I did get refund for photos. First Facebook post resulted in comment with phone number to call refunded my insurance payment to them I had to contact Groupon for the refund. Over 200.00 paid and 6 months waiting. Refund doesn't come close to making it right. Very very disappointed. Even if he did get the 15 laps in still a disappointing experience. I purchased a Dale Earnhart experience in Kansas City for my wife a few years ago and this ran like clockwork. read more

I will do it again! That is the main thing ya need to know. Were the cars the best money can buy. Nope. Were there issues with cars, Yep. What you have to take into consideration is that these are people that are trying to get you and experience for a great price in a very expensive sport. You gotta have patience and if you do. You will have the time of your life and get treated with southern hospitality and respect. They over schedule so enjoy the atomosphere and the ride. Cause not one guy/girl I saw get out of a car that didn't have a huge smile on there face. Only 4 stars cause of wait and maintence on cars. Had a blast. My wife got me the 20 lap Sprint car & I added on a 10 lap Late Model and I really didn't want to leave.I could have stayed there all day if I could. I kind of felt bad for the workers cause it was chilly, raining and only got up to about 52-53 degrees but they were happy helping us out getting in and out of the vehicles. The spotter guy was super nice and came down to talk to me as I hit a giant puddle on the track and spun out. We both had a chuckle. The funny thing is - is when you are driving it feels like you are going 100-150 miles an hour but when my wife later showed me the video - I was like - that can't be me.....I thought I just set the track record..lol....Goes to show how much talent those World or Outlaws drivers really are. My dad was scheduled to race a modified car at 2pm. He didn't get into his car, which was not modified because they didn't have one working and many issues with cars breaking down, until 4:30 pm. We sat in the stands waiting for 2.5 hours waiting, and my dad waited for 3.5 hours since he had to go early for training. During this training, the person in charge was basically attempting to make more money by "highly recommending" driving with a professional first before you drive. There were no options the entire 2.5 hours we watched where two people were in a car...yet they still had people signing up for this option with an extra cost attached to it. Once they signed up and got to the other side of the track to drive, they were told they couldn't drive with a professional and that they could get a refund or some extra spins around the track. My dad said it seemed as though they were just trying to make some extra money in a sneaky way... probably hoping people wouldn't bother with a refund. Also, they had to turn away a whole crew of people because of terrible time management and rescheduled them for next year. This was a very long afternoon of sitting around and waiting. Save your time and don't sign up for this experience. read more

Kenny Wallace Driving Experience The Experience Sprint Car Sign in was easy, but pushing the insurance for an additional cost (was not disclosed during online sign-up) left me really questioning the honesty of KWDE. Classroom "training" was nothing short of disappointing and offered no driving knowledge whatsoever. Extremely high on the scale of NO ADDED VALUE whatsoever. Classroom "trainer" pushed the insurance thing too, but can see why new drivers would wreck stuff with the "quality" training. Original car, Car #4, looked like an old run down Sprint Car and poorly maintained. Sprint Car #4 had the nose wing mounts lopped off and bad body panels and wing. Opted to drive a different Sprint Car (#53, I believe). Sprint Car #53 looked somewhat better, but still looked like a run down poorly maintained ride. Car #53 wouldn't even start. The first time out, and 5 laps via push truck later, had to pit it. Guy looked at the engine. Pushed it back out and still the same result. Ended up driving the worse of the two, but at least it started. I elected to have the "experience" (bad experience more like it) on GoPro. After reviewing the footage the method for mounting the GoPro was ridiculous. It was mounted to the hood and the video was nothing but choppy; is it too much to ask to buy an actual roll bar mount for a whopping $20 so you can actually get good footage. I was happy to be done with my laps and headed down the road. The normal price a person would pay is Sprint Car $499.00, it's not even worth that - atleast I only paid $150 (special offer) which was still too much. Would never come back or recommend this "experience" for anyone wanting to learn about and drive Sprint Cars. read more

So disappointed in this whole deal. Not worth half of what they charge. Got the 15 lap sprint car driving experience for Christmas. So we get to this track, which was fine. They did a generic run down of the rules for driving. So, if you think you get to run flat out and drift the turns like the real drivers, NOPE. You are supposed to let off the throttle at the beginning of the turn until the exit. I got no in car instruction, because my foot wasn't on the throttle properly, which wasted 2 or 3 laps of me looking stupid and out of control. And since dirt tracks are really short you would think each car would get on the track alone, but no. I had 2 other cars, with more experienced drivers in them. So the rule is, if a car gets behind you the slower car has to let off the gas and pull to the bottom out of the way. So most of my laps were spent doing that, since the other drivers obviously weren't letting off thru the turns like we were told to do. So I never really got the chance to get used to the car and go faster, so I could get the most out of what my husband paid for. This lists on the website for around $700.. NO WAY. Then if you want a picture of you with the car, a digital 5cent pic, that's an extra $50. So just don't waste your time or money on this. read more

My girlfriend got me this for Valentine's day, it was a lot of fun I did the l-mod for ten laps at the marysville raceway in California, the only negative aspect, I went to the first class in the day and we had rain a few days before and there wasn't too much track work done to help the mud so the track was pretty slippery, also only being able to use half the track but I understand it is probably for safety. As someone with quite a bit of racing experience, I was worried that the driving school would be underwhelming. My fears were unwarranted. The cars were not top of the line, but still safe and reasonably quick for the everyday person or even someone with racing experience. I purchased the buy one get two free 15 lap sprint car racing experience so I felt it was a very good value at $200 per person. Where they get you is all of the extras... $45 for insurance (for a $500 deductable), $40 for a GoPro video, and $50 if you want a plaque with a picture of the car and you with the car. Of course you can say no, but it is hard to say no when this may be a once in a lifetime experience. Overall I was very satisfied and enjoyed the experience. I think they could improve by offering a discount on more laps when you finish your scheduled drive. I would have been willing to drop another $100 to drive a different car for 10 or 15 laps after all of the adrenaline was going. read more

This was a Father's Day gift from my 2 sons who also raced at the track. The whole experience was very disappointing. We arrived at the track at 12:30 for a 1 PM start. First there was a very high pressure pitch to buy insurance before we started. Almost wouldn't take no for an answer but we finally prevailed. Then we were told to report for the safety class at 1:15 PM but that class didn't start until 2 PM. We didn't get to drive until almost 4:30 PM. There were still people from the 11:00 AM session waiting to drive. Once I finally got in the car one of the crew came over to buckle me in. While I was sitting in the car I couldn't find the brake so I asked the person that buckled me in where it was. He looked in the car and said "I don't know, this car is different from the others, when the other guy comes over he'll show you". Then he ran through a radio check and the next thing I know the tow truck began to push start my car. Off I went without knowing where the brake was. I made it 15 laps around the track without brakes and barely made it out of the exit without being able to slow down. Pulling back into the "pits" I had to just kill the ignition to stop the vehicle. By the way this was a Sprint car, number 71. Once I got out I realized the brake was actually behind my left foot (would have been good to know that before hand). I also realized that they never hooked up my Hans device. They did not have enough fire suits or gloves. The whole process seemed very unorganized. There were a lot of people complaining. If we thought there was a chance of getting our money back we would have left but we stuck it out. Bottom line, I would never do this again. Two years ago we drove NASCAR at Pocono. They were very organized and professional. I would definitely do that again. read more

My husband races sprint cars himself and thought this would be a great experience for me so, got me 10 laps in a sprint car for Christmas. When we arrived at 9:30am (as we were told over the phone) all of the cars were still on the trailer. Almost every car had a flat tire. My husband and father-in-law were looking over the cars and found broken parts on the cars and found a broken piece on a motor. I was scheduled for the 10am class however, did not race until 11:30am. The guy in charge, Larry, said that I was on the schedule for 12pm and even after showing him our confirmation e-mail, he still did nothing. The entire process was EXTREMELY unorganized and the man in charge was constantly yelling at his employees in front of everyone. As I was climbing into the car, he was on the phone with someone from another track who wrecked and was telling them they were responsible to pay for the damages. This is not exactly the conversation I wanted to hear as I was being strapped into a race car. When I went out, they told me to go and when I pushed the petal down the car did not speed up at all. I pulled in after going around the track a few times and they swapped the car I was in. My father in law brought the broken motor plate to their attention and they said they didn't even know it was broken. This tells me that they do NO maintenance on their cars (which is scary). We received a message from one of the track employees (we know them since my husband has raced there in the past) stating that after we left one of the late models broke down, an oil filter was cut and when they replaced it they didn't put any oil in it and the engine blew a rod through the oil pan, a modified blew a tire and another one had a weld break on the shock tower. Hearing these things and seeing how awful these cars were put together did not make me feel very safe when I was in the car. And yet, they say they are all about "safety." I would never recommend this business to anyone. read more

I traveled from Raleigh, NC to Dallas,Tx to do a ride-along in a dirt track car with this company. My son also went because we used to live in Dallas and went to this track many times. I am almost 74 years old and realized my time was limited as to being able to do this type of activity. We flew down and stayed in a hotel and arrived at the track an hour early. After only 4 or 5 people had gotten their 5 laps. the engine began to leak oil and water and they cancelled the rest. There was no backup car that was equipped for a passenger. Because of the lack of a backup, I feel we should be reimbursed for our airfare and hotel, which is only $899.61. Bill in the office has refused to refund anything but the cost of the ride along, which costs them nothing since they didn't provide what we paid for. I cannot recommend this to anyone else for fear they also will be disappointed in the experience with this company. I have done ride alongs with the Richard Petty Experience and the Buck Baker Driving Schools and they were top notch, but this one is not. read more
