As im here munching on hummus n flatbread chips i feel compelled to let the world (and the owner) know how invaluable and amazing these employees are. 1. At the register, an elderly woman returned stating she was unable to locate the lids for her take away cup. The cashier, eagerly n willingly walked her back over to show her physically. This little 20 second helpful act goes such a long way. 2. The very second an employee dropped off a customer's salad, he shouted "i said no onions!" with a disgusted look. Not disgusted at the onions itself but disgusted at "how dare they not get it right like i told them". Employee apologized n quickly hurried back to fix it. Even when dealing with such an unruly customer, the male employee remained calm and driven to make him happy. I applaud such characteristic. 3. I witnessed an employee refill the fresh lemonade (i think its fresh) and even whilst carrying such a heavy object, he kept his eyes up and gave me a warm smile when our eyes met. Even while performing such "behind the scene" duties, this employee kept an "on stage" outlook. I believe when ur staff is happy, it will truly shine within ur business. Entitlement is like the plague n will be the death of a society but this is far from a patron's demand for personal service. Not a high scale restaurant like Del Frisco's, Vic & Anthony, and etc. However, they treat their customers like we're royalties and the restaurant still looks like an amazing place to have a date night. We came here on Valentine's Day and was told they had a set menu. I hesitated a bit because I didn't want to spend too much money. When I saw that you can get a 3 course meal plus a complimentary appetizer for $27 per person...I caved in. Hummus/sun dried tomatoes dip and chips 10/10: My boyfriend is particular with hummus but gave this dip a two thumbs up! The sun dried tomatoes dip was a unique twist to the normal salsa. The chips were long, rectangular, and extremely crispy. I think it might be baked because it was not greasy at all! Duck pizza 8/10: It came with garlic white sauce, spinach, caramelized onions, and mozzarella. My first time eating pizza with duck on it and I am hooked. The duck might taste kind of plain and a little dry but I think it was cooked that way intentionally. The pizza dough is more like a flat bread texture and is super crispy! The duck is probably healthier than those greasy pepperoni ...just saying :) 1/4 Roasted chicken entree (7/10): Seasoned with lemon garlic herb and came with asparagus, roasted potatoes, and cherry tomatoes. If you're looking for something healthy then definitely order this one. You can choose either dark or white meat. I chose white meat and used some hot sauce to keep my tongue on the edge. NY strip entree (9/10): Whoa talk about getting your money worth. This dish came with mashed potatoes, asparagus, and cherry tomatoes. The meat is huge!!! You will definitely be full! Loved the mashed potatoes too! Nutella pizza (6/10): Please share this dessert with someone because the portion is huge! Garnished on top of a thin slice of crispy dough are bananas, strawberries, mint, powdered sugar, and chocolate chips. The first two slices were scrumptious but I got tired of eating the dessert by the third slice. Great size for the price though! I want to thank the manager that was working that day for allowing us to seat ourselves at another table that didn't have a pole by one of the chairs. The waitress wanted to seat us somewhere else but the manager noticed the commotion and resolved professionally. I was even more impressed when a different manager came by to give us the bill with a single red rose and some chocolates!!!! Just had my first meal here and it was absolutely excellent. We went all-out. Food/ingredient quality is top-shelf. Fruit was ripe and sweet. The bone-in chicken special (only $7.50!) was perfectly cooked and came with 1/4 chicken, corn on the cobb, and fresh fruit. Next, the guacamame dip appetizer was fresh and tasty. That led to the build-your-own salad, which at $7.50, comes with unlimited salad toppings and, with the two great dressings we tried, I thought this place left Salata and the like in the dust. HS Green has left a memorable impression after trying out their salads and smoothies! I had the Thai grilled shrimp salad which was delicious. They did not skimp out on the veggies nor shrimp so that's partly why I remembered enjoying the salad so much. I think I love them for their smoothies though. I had the protein (consists of peanut butter) and green sunburst ones. They were both super good! I was ordering a drink everyday for a week which showed how addicting they were. Whenever I didn't feel like paying $12 for a meal at Local Foods but still wanted to eat something along the healthier variety, I go here! I usually get the Thai grilled shrimp wrap and have recently tried the soy ginger grilled chicken. Both were delicious and a good alternative to the greasy burgers and fries. However, I have taken off 2 stars for the horrendous service I had received during my most recent encounter there, which is saying something since I was just there to pick up a meal. They have a HUGE sign that has "pick up" right by the door, so you would assume to pick up there right? I mean it's in the name...but I suppose they changed policy and now you have to pick up on the other side. Fine, okay whatever. What I didn't appreciate were the workers that easily passed me by without so much as an acknowledgement as I was obviously standing there to pick up my order. I get that business gets busy during the lunch hour, but when you're just standing there chitchatting up a storm, I think I can draw the line. Aaand then after that brushoff, I get home to a poorly made wrap. It seemed that the person who made it had a personal vendetta against me or something because it legit looked like someone just half-assed it and called it a day. There was also barely any shrimp; took about 3 bites and that was it. Everything else was just the noodles and watercress. How disappointing. We came here for lunch with super high hopes because reviews were great. We ordered the spicy southwest chicken wrap and the truffle infused mushroom chicken pizza. The pizza was not what I expected. It had an excessive milky taste and smell to it (I know cheese is made of milk but it tasted and smelled like I was eating powdered milk rather than cheese). I did not get goat cheese on my pizza like it was listed on the actual menu item. I only got mozzarella. The chicken and mushrooms were good so I just ate that off of the pizza. The pizza was soggy in the middle which was off putting. The wrap fell apart with the touch of the hand. There was no way to eat it with our hands so we ended having to use a fork. The ingredients in the wrap were pretty good but just very poorly kept together. Staff was very friendly and we got our food pretty fast even with the pizza order. I saw that everyone was getting their salads so if I was ever in the area again, I'd maybe try it again but I was pretty disappointed on my first visit. read more

The most rude employee I have ever met. It was raining outside and I ran inside and I forgot my mask. I was telling my co-worker I would be right back and the employee came up to me and yelled at me for not having a mask. I was assuring her that I was going back to the car to get one and before I could even leave to get it she was screaming at me. I was not refusing the mask at all. This place has an incredible happy hour special. Glasses of wine and beer for less than $5 is a huge draw. They also have a nice list of appetizers on the happy hour menu as well. My favorites include: the truffle oil cheese pizza, buffalo chicken strips, humus, and guacamame. The hummus tastes like it's prepare in-house, its coarse and garlic with fresh herbs blended in. It come with warm pita bread an a large serving of the humus itself. We actually went the bread it came with, so when we asked the server for more bread, he brought over another portion without hesitation! I absolutely drooled over the truffle pizza. The crust is very thin, also homemade, and they use very good quality cheese. It had a great flavor and smell to it, as opposed to some places where they say they use truffle oil, however it has no actual truffle taste. The chicken tenders were nice and crispy with white meat. I also liked that the buffalo sauce was on the side and could be dipped as you pleased. We did also have dinner when we were here. My husband had a hamburger that he felt was very generic, but my salmon was top notch. It was well cooked and served with creamy mashed potatoes and sauteed spinach. I ate the entire dish. For dessert he had a nutella pizza. It looked very pretty, but for some reason was topped with chopped basil, as opposed to mint... The whipped cream it came with was unsweetened, which I enjoyed but he did not. I had the brownie topped with ice cream. The brownie was sadly a let down, not fudgey, and tasted bland. I'm not sure that we would return for dinner, but we will definitely be back for their happy hour specials and appetizers. read more

This place has potential but I experienced a couple of missteps that are probably deal-killers for me. The format is a chipotle-style line where you pick a salad/pizza/etc. and tell them what to put on it. I selected a "Crispy Duck" pizza -- one of the signature items, and proceeded down to the cashier. Here is where I experienced Deal Killer ("DK") #1. The register is one of the screen-based one where they fill in your order, then flip the screen over for you to select a tip and sign the screen. The options presented (in order) were: 30%/25%/20%/18%/Custom. Really? Keep in mind this is a fast-casual, semi-self-serve restaurant. The ONLY service I received was that they brought the pizza to the table and walked away. The staff was friendly enough, but this is a bit much and I don't appreciated being manipulated and made to feel like a cheapskate because I don't want to tip a ridiculous amount for practically zero service. As for the pizza itself, the crust was quite good, the flavor balance was a little on the sweet side (they must have put some extra sugar in the caramelized onions). The duck was a bit of a disappointment. It lacked any definitive flavor, and if it were crispy right after it was cooked, that was a while back. All that could be tolerated if it weren't for the spinach. A pile of somewhat old spinach was unceremoniously dumped on the pizza with no regard for evenness of distribution. And (DK #2), many stems remained on the spinach leaves, making for difficult eating and my having to pick the offending ones out. All in all, I felt a bit cheated for a $15 small pizza ($19 including tax and the --- 18% tip). Yep, their scheme worked. They got an extra 3% because I was too ashamed to select a lower custom tip. Hope it was worth it. They will have to up their game now that MOD Pizza has opened in the same strip center and can deliver a tastier pizza for at least a 25% lower cost. read more

Would give this a 3.5 if possible. Good quick spot for lunch, you'll get your food pretty quick. They have a rewards program too. Food isn't omg spectacular, but def a good spot to grab a quick lunch with someone. Not too expensive, most of the options are around $10. Very nice and clean exterior, if I had to meet a client and didn't want to spend too much, I would come here. Vegetarian review: I'm definitely bookmarking this place to revisit in 2017! I love that you can substitute anything on the menu for tofu and that the environment is open and refreshing. I ordered the guacame (guacamole & endame) side and loved it! I haven't ever seen the two combined, but it surprisingly tasty! The endgame adds a bit of a crunch to the the guacamole. Used to be one of our favorite neighborhood spots, with good service at your table. Then they changed their business model to a poorly run food line. It's kind of like going through the Subway line where you wait while they make ONE SANDWICH AT A TIME! You have to order your food as you walk in, then they make your food one person at a time (some options require the back kitchen to prepare them) then you walk to the register and you have to tell them your order ALL OVER AGAIN so they can ring it up. Then they're handing you food items and drink cups, trying to fumble with paying while they're handing you more food. Then you sit and wait for the rest of your order to come out of the kitchen. No one gets their food at the same time. The dining experience is awful. Service is terrible bc they are understaffed. Dirty tables sit uncleaned bc they usually only have 1 person working the floor. Cashier is doing double duty ringing up customers and bringing food out to tables from the kitchen. Sometimes your food sits under the heat lamps if the cashier is busy ringing up another customer. I watched as my salad got placed under the heat lamp and sat there until someone had time to bring it out. Sadly, management/owner has let this restaurant go to sh*t read more

The shopping strip it's located in needs a bit of a rejuvenation, and H.S. definitely helps! Fresh ingredients incorporated into their healthy and tasty menu make me a regular patron. You can choose one of their suggested salads or pizzas, or custom make your own. I personally LOVE the salmon ginger salad and crispy duck & watercress salad. The meat isn't dry and they don't skimp on the ingredients. Their mushroom leek soup is chock full of mushrooms! They also have a beer & wine bar in the middle of it all--coolio! The staff is super friendly and greet you with a smiling face. They keep the place extremely clean, and it's such a spacious environment. Seriously, come here--H.S.
