I went to Angi's List and found Gustavo and hired him for my install. Not all installations are easy or straight forward. Gustavo assessed the situation, went to Home Depot to purchase a more secure bracket for the microwave and performed a successful install. He followed up a week later and came back and leveled the unit and installed additional borders around the unit which made my wife very happy. We then hired Gustavo to install a retractable dog gate in my garage that went smoothly. A week later I called him and he installed two garage light ceiling panels. The directions were not very straight forward but Gustavo is very good at thinking out of the box and came up with a reasonable plan B. He is personable, communicated constantly before, during, and after the jobs and is hard working and very good at what he does. My wife and I are 100% satisfied and I would definitely recommend him for any handyman jobs around our home.

We were tearing out our large tub shower and making it a walk in. We interviewed about 10 companies and Da Vinci has the most comprehensive bid and some of the best pricing we found. Ron was easy to reach all along the way. His construction crew was efficient and knowledgeable. Pedro over saw the demo and install and has years of experience. He did everything to code. Pablo worked his tail off demo'ing and rebuilding our new walk in design. Jorge did the most AMAZING Tile job. It was perfection. All lines and measurements and spacing was to a tee. The Hot mop company was excellent also! The finish flooring crew came in and worked quickly and installed everything to spec. We had some plumbing issues once the demo was done and needed to do some changes to that. The Plummer who came out from the company was quite pricey so we were able to contract our own separately at a much lower rate. We used Nick from Sterling pluming. Honest and reliable and upfront with all of his pricing! The shower glass door was included in the bid. Very nice since most others had that as a separate line item. The shower door is beautiful but had a small leak in seal at bottom. The company was suppose to call us back to come and better seal it but never called us. My husband easily bought his own caulking and repaired it himself. We bought our tiles at MSI in Orange. One of the best and largest and gives all kinds of free samples. Highly recommend them. I also highly recommend picking your shower plumbing and supplies from Ferguson Plumbing . Their showroom in Irvine was GORGEOUS! And they were so knowledgeable. They take walk ins but make an apt if going on a weekend. Our shower is gorgeous and turned out to be our dream retreat. Thanks Ron!

He was pleasant to talk to on the phone, and he even confirmed our appointment with a text, saying that I was on the calendar. On the day of our appointment, I called him earlier on to confirm our meeting, and he didn't answer. I sent him a text, and he didn't respond. Four minutes AFTER we were supposed to meet, he texts me, saying that his job was having problems, that he was running about an hour late, and that he could call me when finished to see if I was still available. I told him that I wanted him to call, and he agreed to do so. The work I need done is on a rental property. It's not my own home. As a consequence, I found myself sitting in an empty unit on a Friday night. Now, I guess if I was at my house I could take a nap, watch tv, do some chores, etc. However, this was not the case. I was sitting in an empty house by myself, with no furniture to even sit on. For an hour. On a Friday night. Actually, it was more than an hour. I waited 2.5 hours for Tom to call me, and he never did. The next day, I sent him a text in the morning asking if he was still interested in the job and if he could meet me at another time, or if his failure to call meant that he was not interested in the job. He couldn't even be bothered to respond. Thanks a lot, Tom. I hope you treat your other customers better.

Sweet kid, but holy CRAP he's horrible with time…read more He's always got an excuse for being hours and hours late or not showing up at all. Heaven forbid he should leave to go get something... You have time to go catch a movie! He's not coming back any time soon. I had several projects for him to complete. To be fair, he did very well at switching out two exterior lights. HOWEVER, Do NOT let him drill holes ANYWHERE!!!!! I wanted a recessed light. He couldn't install it; instead, he got a similar flush mount. It's been six days and countless hours of work... I don't have recessed lights. Instead, I have no fewer than 4 holes in my 2nd story hardwood floors (above the kitchen). His drill even went into a storage bin that I had in a closet (piercing the contents over and over). I have 5 gaping holes in my ceiling and am having to hire an electrician AND ANOTHER HANDYMAN to fix Tom's "work." Very sad. I kept giving him chance after chance, and all I got for it was hours and hours of wasted time waiting, a ruined floor, ruined ceiling, ruined computer monitor, ruined storage bin, and swiss cheesed keepsakes. #Sigh
