Jeremiah's communication heading into the move was excellent and Mike and his team arrived right in the window they said they would. As soon as I gave them the rundown of the place, they wasted ZERO time and got straight to work - all the way until the last item was carried into the new place. Heading into this move, I was worried about taking apart our bed frames and putting them back together. Mission Movers took care of it at no extra cost. But the biggest thing for me is how friendly and HONEST the team was. One of my dining chairs was already cracked before the move and they approached me and apologized for thinking they did it. That small gesture went a long way for me and I know they were going to find a solution even if it was their fault. They also could've charged me for a full 4 hours but charged me to the exact minute they worked at 3.75 hours. Not to mention it was also a really hot day and they powered through it without a single complaint. My wife and I have said several times that we don't know how we would've done it without Mission Movers. I know exactly who I'm hiring for any of my future moves. 10/10 experience! They provided more movers for the hourly cost than the other two companies and were available. Darlene was kind and amazing, and thorough in asking questions about furniture, packing, pets, and exercise equipment. Things I didn't even consider! Day of the move (Saturday after Thanksgiving) Ryan, Santos, Mario and Amir showed up on time, carefully wrapped all of our furniture with either blankets or plastic wrap. The asked questions about where things should go, and questions about how to assemble or disassemble things. This is our third move, and we are not as young as we were with our last move. We had to make two trips, but it was still within budget. Next move, I'll call them again, and pay for packing (which we thought we could do on our own in our 50s!) I figure things happen and take time so I didn't call until 2:30 pm or so to check on where the technician was. I was told that my job had "not been added to the schedule" but they would see when a tech could be there. I was then told 3:45-4:00pm. No one arrived. I called at 4:15 pm and was told they were 25 minutes away. I called at 5:01 and the voicemail said the office was CLOSED and here it is 5:15 and no one EVER ARRIVED. I realize compared to other jobs this company has, my job was small and not worth a lot of money. However, the measure of a great business is to treat small customers as well as your big customers. If you don't show up when scheduled, fail to add a job to your schedule, and keep lying to your customer about the arrival time of your tech who NEVER shows up at all...why would I trust this company with my larger corporate work? How you treat people matters, whether the job is big or small. This was unacceptable today and I did not appreciate that I had to keep calling YOUR business to find out what was going on, what happened to the tech, etc. Why aren't YOUR people communicating with customers? Why didn't anyone apologize? Why didn't anyone call before close of business to say, "Hey, we're not coming!" I was extremely unhappy because no one cared that I had taken time off work to meet the tech and no one cared enough to even CALL me and let me know what was going on. You guys dropped the ball big time here and were incredibly thoughtless and rude. Update: They just arrived at 5:36 pm. The techs themselves were GREAT and were able to do the work and complete the job. However, I wanted someone to know about the lack of transparency and communication today as it was very upsetting to me. The quality of work and the people you hired to do the actual technical job were terrific, knowledgeable and qualified. I realized it was not THEIR fault today, but I think it's important for people to know about the communication problems. I own three Microscope LED units for my Global Dental microscopes. Unfortunately, these units are…read morepoorly supported--no replacement parts are available from the manufacturer, and once the 3-year warranty expires, a failure means paying $2,800 plus tax and shipping for a new one. Ouch. Over the last few years, I've had to replace multiple units, as they all seemed to fail after about four years. I tried two electronic repair services (including one connected to an electronics supplier in Costa Mesa) but had no luck. Recently, when my wife told me yet another light was failing--and since she relies on them working perfectly--I started searching again for a reliable repair shop. Newport TV VCR Repair was honestly my last thought, since I assumed they wouldn't know how to handle specialized medical lighting. But when the last light went down and we were about to order costly replacements, I decided to give them a try. I had already tested a re-manufactured unit from eBay, but it was nowhere near the right brightness. Newport TV VCR Repair was nearby, and I was in a rush, so I called Bill. When I brought the three lights in, Bill admitted he'd rather not take on the job, but said if I wanted, he could do a full diagnostic for a fee. I agreed. A few days later, right on schedule, he called back. He believed he could repair them but would need to order parts. If the repairs worked, I'd pay him; if not, I'd just be out the diagnostic fee. Sure enough, Bill repaired two units successfully (currently working on the last which got more damaged by the other repair shops). He even walked me through the work--replacing chips (and programming them), a surface-mount capacitor, blown board trace and even correcting an incorrectly installed MOSFET. The lights now work flawlessly. Bill is incredible. This is far beyond simple AV repair--his skill, honesty, and thoroughness are rare to find. If you need electronics repair, take your equipment here. I'm very glad I did. If you are a Global Dental Microscope LED owner who needs to get a repair and found this by a Google search, I would recommend calling him...So good.
