Their advertising is deceptive and could be called dishonest. I saw an advertisement on Craigslist for a "special" 2-for-1 TV installation. There were other TV install guys advertising $50 to mount a TV. I had one for sure I wanted done but was considering doing another one. HT ProTech's ad had no prices listed so I contacted them. I first asked for a quote to mount one 43" TV and was told it would be $95, which was high. I then mentioned the ad and that I have a second TV to mount, and asked would the second unit be free, as advertised? That's when the bait and switch happened. They claimed that $95 quoted was a discounted price from the regular price of $120, thus I would have to pay $25 additional for the second mounting. So much for 2-for-1. For all I know they might do the best work but I don't like the dishonesty. I called one of their competitors, who came and did one television for $50 and they arrived as promised and the gentleman did a very satisfactory job. I decided against mounting the second TV. The only extra was he gave me the option for $20 to put a strip on the wall to hide the cords from dangling down loosely. I hadn't considered that but it sounded well worth having done and I consented. The best part about it was he mentioned it over the phone when he called to say he was on his way, rather than laying it on me after he arrived. read more

I've used these guys for many years and I don't know if the business is under new management or ownership changed hands, but they wend from "good & dependable" to rude & unprofessional! I contacted them to try to arrange to have them come and do an install in my office (wasn't even concerned with price or shopping them around, as I was happy with their service in the past). After not picking up my call, the person handling the calls sent me a text saying that they're not available and to please text them. No problem with that obviously, so I texted them. 7 hours later, still no reply, so I tried calling again. They sent me to voicemail and never even bothered getting back to me. Note the TV is not centered over our fireplace, when I contacted them I was told it's not centered over the fireplace because I did not ask the installation technician to mount the TV centered over the fireplace. Would you let a company like this come in your house and install your TV like that? I certainly know that I would never let them inside my house again. If your not to sure how to program your new tv, surround sound, cable, video game system I recommend this company. I had my tv wall mounted. They offer different wall mounts on there website you can order. I would suggest get a good surge protector And a HDMI cable. They come to your house. The install took about 2 hours. I was going to go with Best Buy were I bought my tv glad I cancelled the installation with them. They wanted to charge a little more. Thanks alot guys. read more

It was a terrible experience. I wouldn't recommend this service. First off, they didn't honor the advertised price. ($180.00 swivel mount with in wall wiring, 2 for 1 special)and I was providing one of the wall mounts. I also didn't need the in wall wires. They told me because it was a 48" sony it would be $60.00 extra, totaling $250.00 if I paid cash. They assured me everything would be set up connected and the cables covered. The installers arrived two and a half hours late after a call that they'd arrive in 30-45 minutes. They didn't have the hdmi cable to connect my tv. They didn't have any covers to cover the wires and they did not connect ANY of the wires, not even the power cords. They were out of wire covers so they suggested I go buy some covers at the Home Depot, but it was supposed to be included. Do yourself a favor and go with a different company. read more

Michelle and her helper did a great job installing & programming my 48" Sony (with a tilt mount) over my mantle. After discussing what I needed with Andrew, a tech was scheduled for the next day. Michelle texted me when they were stuck in traffic (very common problem in LA) and were running later than our scheduled appointment, which was fine - I like that she let me know they were in-transit. I thought they were reasonably priced & professional. They cleaned up everything before they left. I highly recommend them. The only thing I would add: Make sure you have everything you need (i.e. enough cables for all devices: HDMI, power extension cord etc.) to prevent unexpected add-ons to the bill. read more

I have to say that HT ProTech is a great company! They did a great job installing my new 55" flat panel on my wall as well as installing my surround sound system. They hid all the wires & cables cleanly & neatly inside the walls & it looks absolutely fabulous! The 2 workers (Michelle and Edward) were really polite, professional and hardworking. They called me ahead of time to let me know they were on their way and although they arrived an hour later than what was scheduled they went straight to work & worked nonstop for about 5 hours installing everything. They also cleaned up after themselves and were quick to adjust anything that I requested upon hook up if my new system. Lastly, after doing alot of research on the various companies that do installation, they had by far the lowest price too! MIchelle and Andrew came today and fixed a sloppy previous job. They took down the old mounts and re-installed them. Both TV's look PERFECT. I don't write reviews very often but I feel that this company deserves a review. I decided to have some TVs put up on the walls so I looked on craigslist and found HT ProTech. It was Sunday night around 830 or so in the evening and I sent a message via text not really expecting to get a reply until the following day because it was Sunday night. I immediately got a response from someone who is extremely knowledgeable and courteous. He asked me for a few details and was able to give me an estimate at that time. He scheduled me for the following morning. The two gentlemen were right on time and were very pleasant as well as professional and knowledgeable about what they were doing. They did an amazing job!
