After visiting we learned that the owner started this coffeehouse/bakery/art gallery as a place her son (with special needs) could work after high school. Moxi hires individuals with special needs to work as baristas and bakers. What an awesome concept! As someone who used to work with individuals with special needs, finding employment after high school was over was one of the biggest obstacles - this is the kind of business we need to see more of! They have delicious looking treats and lots of seating upstairs and down. Fun rockers adorn the front porch that invites you to come an stay awhile. Laren opened the door and greeted us and the barista was very informative and answered all of our questions.

I included a photo just as it was served to me for your consideration. The Mexican joint less than a 1/2 mile away serves up fantastic 1/2lb. breakfast burritos for just a couple bucks more. I gave them two stars for ambiance and hope that they get things worked out. I didn't try the coffee or tea so my review is limited to just that one bite.

There was really little ambience, and old dingy couches make up some of the seating in the back. My "Mexican mocha" wasn't at all what I expected, it was made from a super sweet powdered mix that wasn't dissolved completely in my drink. I sat and took two sips from it and it was straight up sugary milk... not a single ounce of matcha was put into this drink. It was almost $7 for this drink by the way. I'm not sure why they would hand this to me or why they call this matcha but that was a joke... I finished my cronut and then went to her for a refund on the drink.
