The level if incompetence was so bad, hard to fully express in just one paragraph. Wanted to do X-rays without ever speaking to a doctor or asking my kid what was hurting or why. After a full 90 second exam, her diagnosis was "I have no idea why your arm is hurting, I'm very confused". And that was after a 1 hour 15 minute wait. I just got up and left with absolute disgust and disbelief that was my experience. Unfortunate we loved Dr Paterson but can't even imagine visiting this office again. Stay far away !!!!

Before going into my robotic total knee replacement, I had heard plenty of stories about how grueling and difficult knee recovery can be. While I know everyone's experience is different, my recovery has been remarkably smooth. Whether I was just incredibly fortunate or benefited from choosing the right surgeon and technique, my results exceeded my expectations. The Surgery Experience The procedure was performed as an outpatient surgery at a brand-new surgical center. From start to finish, the entire process was quick, seamless, and easy. The nursing and support staff were outstanding--friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful in keeping me comfortable and informed. Dr. Rana's surgical precision was evident right away: the incision was extremely neat, and as it continues to heal, there is almost no visible scar left. Recovery & Outcome My post-surgery pain was minimal and lasted for only a very limited window. I had great range of motion straight out of surgery, was ditching the cane and walking on my own within a week and have been hitting recovery milestones well ahead of standard timelines ever since. Recommendation During my rehabilitation, I mentioned Dr. Rana to my physical therapy team, and they told me that they always see great outcomes and rapid progress from his patients. In hindsight, although I of course did my own research, I probably should have consulted a PT before choosing my surgeon! If you are considering a robotic knee replacement, especially via the subvastus approach, I cannot recommend Dr. Rana highly enough. He and his team gave me my mobility back faster and easier than I ever thought possible.

I walked into SCOI for an appt with my wife and you could tell instantly, the waiting room was way to big and there were way too many people in it. So not only were they running WAY behind but they have prepared for running way behind because (my guess is) they are ALWAYS running way behind. I mean the irony alone!! Here are all these people with bad backs and other issues and you are making them sit in an uncomfortable waiting area for hours? Exaggeration, you say? I went to ask about when we might get seen after it was 33 minutes past our appt time. (Of course, we got there twenty minutes early because we don't operate like SCOI... we are mindful of our time and obligations... so we've been there close to an hour.) We were told that we "were next" but they could not tell me if that meant 5 minutes or 45 minutes but it didn't matter because we were relatively sure it would be the same situation the next time we came to this office and this was not a situation we wanted to be involved with regularly... so we left. (We would have told them we were leaving but they didn't have the decency to keep us informed when they were running 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes late... let them do the guessing this time.) Fast forward almost an hour and we get a phone call while driving home... "Are you in the clinic? We are looking for you." You are looking for us NOW? About an hour-and-a-half past our appt??? Could you have looked for us about 15 minutes after our appt time to say, "Sorry but the dr is running late"? Don't get me wrong... the girls were all nice. It's probably hard to remain even semi-nice in that kind of chaos. About 5 to 7 years ago I thought I noticed a shift in this kind of practice of keeping patients waiting forever. With cell phones, automatic reminders, online scheduling, Yelp reviews... I thought I was seeing that my wait times had become very reasonable. Ya know? Word will get out and people won't stand for it so you better get your shite together... SCOI didn't get the memo. They literally do not care about this review... or your time. I'm giving two stars... because the girls at front were pretty cool and, who knows, the doctors may be great.

He pays such close attention to your situation and really explains what's going on, in a way you can fully understand so that you can do things that help the healing process. After taking hundreds of pills I started to see him for trigger point injections which solved the problem I was medicating. That helps me for MONTHS!! No pills!! I can move and I have less headaches too because my back is no longer seizing up on me. I do have to return a few times a year and each time I learn more about myofascial disorder, and find more and more ways I can manage it. We've discussed massage therapies, chiropractic, acupuncture, acupressure, and a continuously growing home program for stretching and range of motion. If you must see an orthopedist, he's an excellent choice. He will arm you with information so you can help yourself. Pretty cool in my book. And yes. Sometimes he's late. He's a surgeon. Sometimes others are more critically hurt than you are and need his attention more urgently. I've had appointments with him after he'd been up all night long putting people back together again. Today I had a TERRIBLE experience with his office staff though. I explained when I checked in that my car just broke down so a friend had dropped me off and would be waiting for me. I asked if Dr. Bachner appoints were on time or if he was running behind. I was told that he was on time. 55 minutes after my scheduled appointment, I asked her if she could see as to when I would be seen by Dr. Bachner. She said that she would see how much longer I would need to wait. Another 10 minutes goes by so, and still no answer. I went to the front desk to re-schedule my appointment. Another office staff (sorry I didn't get their names), said that Dr. Bachner is a "speciality doctor" and appointments are usually 1 to 1/2 hours AFTER your scheduled appointment time. I told her that I asked in the beginning of my appointment the expected wait time was. She replied RUDELY that they do know what happens in the back part of the office with Dr. Bachner's and his patients. Then why was I told when I checked in he was running appointment on time? She didn't have an answer for that. Since when is the patient's time not valuable? I left work early today just to make my appointment ON TIME. I asked if they could have Dr. Bachner call me. The rude office staff said he doesn't do that. This is such terrible customer service when the office staff, feel it's okay to wait 1 to 1 1/2 hours to see Dr. Bachner after your scheduled appointment time. I posting this for Dr. Bachner to see in hopes that he'll do something to change the wait time and make him aware of the lack of professionalism with his front office staff.

As an identity theft victim I know that I can ask an office to identify me but they don't NEED an actual copy of my ID. Tim the trainer? Owner? Shows up tells me to go somewhere else without even listening to a sentence from me. And when I ask to talk to him he tells me he already has another client waiting ---- wasn't this MY time slot? Rude , inefficient and guessing they don't follow CA laws when it comes to ID either . What a colossal waste of my time - Shame on them
