I've had four or five massages here in the past... the first massage was amazing... Still, I've come back because it's so convenient (located one block from my apt). My last massage was sometime in the winter 2025 (currently it is summer 2026) and I have since misplaced the rewards card that I've had for all my past massages... which sucks because once you have done 10 massages, the 11th one is free! So after I did my massage today, I asked for a new card, explaining that I had lost my old card. I did not ask for the stamps I lost, just a new card with a stamp for today's massage. The man at the front desk told me there is no such card. Confused, I repeated my request for a card. He pretended ignorance, but lowered his voice as another client had gotten in line behind me. I suspected that he didn't want to give me credit for my massage and was lying about the rewards card... so I repeated my request for a card for the third time. And after a 2 minute pause where he shuffled around and ignored me, hoping that I would leave, he looked up and asked me how he could help me. I repeated my request for a new card with credit for my massage from today for the fourth time... And after a 30 second pause where he stared at me, he finally reached down and produced a card with a stamp crediting my 60 minute massage. UNBELIEVABLE!!! I called his bluff and found out he was trying to be sneaky and lie about the rewards card. That left a bad taste in my mouth, what an awful man. I don't know why he would lie about it as I've already said I've been there to get massages at least four or five times in the past 8 or 9 months. It's just very deceptive and unscrupulous behavior. If anyone is coming to get a massage here and planning to come back... MAKE SURE YOU ASK FOR THE REWARDS CARD AND GET CREDIT FOR YOUR MASSAGES!!! I have no problem with the services they provide. I have always used Apple Pay when I have gone and it has never been an issue. The first time it declined I assumed it was the card because that's what she made it seem like, so, no problem. I used a different card, there was an error again. I tried a third card and at this point it was clear it was an issue with the machine. They asked if I had Zelle, I do not because my bank account does not link to it so I could not set it up even if I wanted to. At this point I was no longer relaxed, worried I'd have to call someone to come pay for me, or I don't even know. I wasn't going to leave without paying. I scrambled to search to see if I had access to a card number on my phone. Luckily I had an online account for a prepaid card which would display the number so after a few tries to find this I was able to access a number that they could manually type in. It worked and at this point I had been there about 10 minutes trying to figure out this dilemma. I had ordered an uber home before I was going to pay since I thought this would be quick but my driver waited for me and I had to cancel and pay a fee of $5 because of the late cancellation which added to my frustration. The woman at the front asked, "did that just undo all of it" and I was short but not impolite and said yes. I don't like to take my frustration off on workers so I was just trying to get out at this point. I still tipped the $15 I was planning to because I know it was not the masseuse fault and she did a good job. I was not offered any discount for the issue and ultimately I was made to feel like it was my fault because my cards weren't working but it was clearly an issue of their machine. I'm very frustrated because I like going here because it's near my work and I've never had an issue with them until now. It's very frustrating to me that a business would not value their customers enough to give some type of discount which I was not gonna take out of the tip so I ended up paying the full amount of $108. The massage was relaxing in the moment, but now I am completely unrelaxed because of this situation. It does not feel like it was worth it at this point and I feel like I just wasted my money and time.

I'm not sure what kind of tip he was expecting for giving me a weak, low-energy massage?! He saw my partner tipped more and got angry, but my partner had a different masseur and liked his massage. So after I tipped, he fanned it out (I gave a $5 and then $7 in singles) and started yelling and said "only $12?!". Very strange way to treat a customer that gave a good, standard tip for poor service. If I actually like my massage I tip a little more but he gave me no reason to tip extra.
