Came here at about 4am on a Friday, we were two of the four customers. There were two employees working. Both greeted us as soon as we walked in and were very friendly. If I could give it zero stars I would have, but well, that's not even an option because they don't think restaurants could be that horrible. Waited an hour and a half for food and never got it. Don't recommend and I would rather go anywhere else. Can honestly say I will never eat here again. Went on Christmas. Very busy and very understaffed. Was sitting a table for half an hour and still no one came to us. We went to go get a manager to make a order to go and they preceded to do that. Took another 20 minutes. Was friendly about it but never gave us a discount or anything. The food was really good though I will give it that. They need a way to deal with traffic. An if your the only restaurant open on Christmas expect heavy volume and not have a graveyard shift working. Will go back if ever less busy if down there again. read more

We eat here all the time but for the past month or so the service has declined. Takes forever to get food. When you get food it is not what you ordered and I just had a waitress argue with me about how long we have been sitting here waiting on our food. 40 minutes and counting. read more

I watched a waiter who wasn't ours, dip his hands into this pan of soapy sanitizer water to clean his hands, but then goes to shove down trash in a can that is overflowing with garbage and then grabs paper towels to dry his hands. This place is trash i mean server was so rude and took us forever to get serviced and to get our check the food was not so much good at ALL. Taste like everything was cooked in old grease and the drinks (orange juice) was HORRIBLE we didn't drink them and they didn't want to take it off our check. This place sucks read more

I love Huddle House food so I took my husband and step kids there for breakfast before attending a birthday party. The kids weren't hungry so me and my husband ordered. There is a cardboard thing on the table for 2 sausages or 3 bacon for a dollar. I didn't the fine print but it's only valid with an entree. I thought it was an awesome deal so i picked up the picture, POINTED to it and said I want 2 sausage and the bacon. The waitress said ok and brought us our food. It was 30.00 for 2 people when I got the receipt. The sausage was actually 2.99 and the bacon was 2.99 as well. I asked her about it and she said the deal was only with an entree. Um, why TF didn't you say that when I pointed to it then? She obviously knew i thought it was a dollar. I went up and explained at the register and said can you guys give me the deal since my husband ordered an entree at least? They said no, he didn't order sausage or bacon. Thanks a lot assholes. I'm so upset about this that my husband is taking the kids to the birthday party while I sit in the car wondering what happened to common decency. They would have lost 4 dollars and made me happy. And I probably would have just given the 4 as a tip anyway. Also, every time I go there all the bushes smell like cat spray and there is black mold on the ceiling tiles in the hall by the bathrooms. Great for my COPD. They brought me the wrong food twice before I got my expensive meal but of course I didn't make a big deal, because people make mistakes. Guess it's only ok when they do it though. Worst service and food. If I was drunk I'm sure it's tasty but as a sober person it was one of the worst diners I have ever been to. Dirty menus, rude waiter, stinky bathroom, sticky tables and horrible attitudes. The table in front left after they got their coffee. The waitress was apologizing to them as they left. I have no idea why I didn't join them and leave. Il never go back here. If it's after midnight and I'm looking for a sit down place for a quick bite this will place will be last on my list. I really enjoy going to Huddle House for breakfast in the afternoon. However, the service has gotten really bad recently. They need to figure out some way to deal with "traffic:" i.e., there is no place to wait on a table besides the front door, and I'm tired of people butting in front of me and stealing tables when they came in after me. This actually happened today. I walked into Huddle House and stood by the door to wait for a table. A little old lady and her husband walked in after me. The lady cleaning tables asked any of us if we would like to sit at the counter. My guest and I declined. The lady and her husband said sure. As they walked toward the counter, a couple got up from their table to pay and the little old lady and her husband sat down before the table was even cleaned off. The lady cleaning tables went over and cleaned the table off for them while they were sitting down. Meanwhile, I stood in disbelief that I was just cut in front of by a "sweet" old lady and her husband. I left and went to My Daddy's Cheesecake. Edit: Huddle House expanded! The chaotic seating protocol has tamed (I assume because of my previous review). I'm bumping them up two more stars. read more

I am from Cape, but live in Tennessee. I have found Huddle House to be what it is, compared to other similar places. When very busy, it is ok at best. When not busy, it is fantastic, better than most. We have an IHop at home that was once terrific, but no longer is. One experience is never accurate, or relevant. Only those who eat there once a week are qualified to make a true assessment of a place. I can speak for three local places to me, but no other place accurately. read more

What has happened to the dress code at Cape Huddle house? It use to be clean and proper to serve food but lately it more to look like just crawled out of bed throw on yesterdays clothes and start handling food with bare hands along with money, trash cans and bags, then back to food. And if they do wear gloves they still reach into their pockets for keys or other items and then right back to handling food with the same gloves on! You will notice that I gave a three star rating it is because of the servers, they do their best to take care of customers with good service and keeping the coffee hot and filled and checking to see if everything is alright the way you want. Yes there are times when the servers are very busy and they don't get to everybody as they should but I would say 90 to 95% of the time your coffee and meal are good. Let me also say this, there are a couple of cooks that show up clean and proper and they are spot on when they send out their orders. They constantly are cleaning their area and grills, they keep up with what they need. And they themselves are clean and neat. I have been eating at Huddle House in Cape for going on five years and never doubted that I would be able to get great food, great service and a clean place to bring family, friends and business friends to have a working lunch. I have always given Cape Huddle House five stars plus, but for the past four months maybe five it has gone down hill bad. Huddle House! pay attention your servers can only carry the load for so long and then you have two stars, one star then none. read more
